Hope you’re doing ok! We are still in the Great white North, and plan to be here for a little while longer. It has been so great and grounding to be here. It’s also been hard, my brother’s wife, who I love so much, her dad passed away very unexpectedly the other night. We grew up our whole lives with their family and he was such a big part of our community and extended family. It was heartbreaking to see her and her siblings go through this and my niece and nephew lose their young grandpa. We’ve been helping with my niece and nephew as much as we can and with the funeral. The funeral was today and it was so beautiful and special. Made me want to be a better person and really helps you remember what truly matters. My heart has been with Texas this week as well, unimaginable for the families of those children. I pray they can feel peace and the collective prayers of the country lifting them up.
We were able to sneak away to Waterton to camp a couple nights before the funeral and it is one of my very favorite places.
Rainbows among the storms! Thanks for being a happy, comforting , hopeful space here for me and so many others.
This week at the Cassie Box office we have a surprise (it’s just for fun), some Bruce Lee and some dun dun….dun dun… dun dun dun dun dun dun dun…..JAWS ….TWO
We also have a big POLLCEPTION poll and looks like we’ll be visiting our good friend, Mr. Spielberg again-I think we some greats left on his filmography and I’m excited! I’ll be doing a Popcorn Requests Poll (second place) as well. I saw the suggestions of doing those monthly and I think that’s a great idea!
Coming up in the near future still is our Pick a Flick Winner, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, our Trivia winners pick, The Pianist, Superman and my PPOTM is going to be Bringing Up Baby!
I just love you all, thanks for being my friends!
