I wanted to have some time to relax and do my own thing for the holidays this year instead of stressing about getting a bunch of art done right before christmas, so I decided to get it all done mega early so I had the rest of the month to myself. In hindsight I didn't give the voting people enough of a heads up, and if I do this again next year I'll be sure to be a bit louder about the plan. Could definitely have handled it a bit better! That said in my defense I did put "vote fast" in all caps as the very first words in the post title and they were up for a few days at least, so it wasn't entirely out of nowhere. :P And the votes had slowed to a crawl so I don't think leaving them open longer would have affected much. But still, will do better next time!
