I like all the effort put into miscellaneous background stuff it really helps make the world feel super fleshed out and alive.
Sesra
But whynow am I zhinking of Mozhman from Cyanide and Happiness?
Sesra
I zhink zhis document gives express permission, if by errant you mean prone to commit crime.
Val Salia
McYingles
Val Salia
Yeahhh, he and the elders are REALLY not super enthusiastic about an enclave having actual, official relations of this sort with a human settlement.
Val Salia
A few of them guard Viracroix's private ivenmoth-breeding pens, making them *literal* moth-guards.
Val Salia
As soon as the Trademaster started inviting them in for formal talks, a lotta people knew what was up.
Val Salia
If crime, go crazy
Val Salia
Yeahhh it was either going to be that or "[sic]the" It helps that over years of writing these pages and getting feedback, it becomes obvious where some of the uncertain or grey areas of the setting are; so when the story runs up against some of 'em, I've got a good amount of material to write a page like this for!
Val Salia
It's perfectly fair!
Val Salia
Yeah, the female yinglets are preeetty safe within The Teeth; all the guards know they're high protection-priority.
Val Salia
Mostly that!
Estragon
Can one still fling an errant Yinglet?
Raan
I love it
Sesra
Well.. zhis explain Narklet even more somehow... Can't imagine a FORMALIZED diplomatic relation to zhis enclave would have set especially well wizh zhe fearful and suspicious elders. *ponder* I zhink zhey wanna know what going on between zhe two... derail it outright. But zhis just me zhinking out loud... and I'm not very good at zhinking.... Even quietly... wehheh... OH! .. and I especially frequent in failure of zhe imagining where zhe mind of ValBirb going wizh zhis stuff... sooo...

We also get a name for those enforcers in the House's employ: Mothguard.

It's good to have things clarified. I'm guessing a lot of the more thoughtful people kind of saw this coming.
Merle Blue
Do not yeet the yinglets (unless crime)
Catomix
I'm always impressed by the lengths you go to create a tangible world with these kinds of detailed documents. What makes these truly feel authentic are the colloquial touches, like the fact that kicking yinglets is such a common practice that the Val Salian officials were compelled to cite it directly. And of course, "[th]e".
CompletelyNewguy
Yes! Punting Yinglets is still allowed! As long as said Yinglet is a criminal and there's no guards around to stop em.

Very informative. That eases me some on the Pekkit travels.
Matthias Preissl
Fairly reasonable.
