Time Keeps on Slipping - Chapter 23

Harry felt a presence behind him. He looked over his shoulder to see Professor Longbottom standing there. The older man took a step back.
"Mister Potter," Longbottom said. "Headmistress McGonagall would like to speak with you."
Harry felt his mouth go dry as he stood up.
"Nev-," Harry started.
"We shouldn't keep her waiting," Neville interrupted him.
According to everyone else, Professor Longbottom was one of the kindest people you'd ever meet. He had a great amount of patience, loved to teach, and had a natural charm that made people relax. That as not how he acted around Harry. While he wasn't outright hostile, he was detached at best.
They walked in silence for a while.
"Nev," Harry said again. "I didn't know how to tell you. You didn't recognize me-"
"Of course I recognized you," Neville snapped, turning to look at him. "We shared the same dorm for five years. I know you."
"Then why?" Harry asked.
"You died Harry," Nevile replied. "So many people died with you. Not physically, but their spirit. I did. It took me years to get back on my feet, even longer to pull those around me up too." He took a calming breath. "We waited for you to come back. It felt like something you would do. A couple of years we waited before we lost hope. Then you just stroll in here like it's Tuesday."
"That's not my fault," Harry said, a growing heat in his chest. "To me, I fell into the Veil and came out the other side. Years? It was a couple of seconds at most."
"I know," Neville yelled. The calming breath wore off rather quickly. "I'm not the same stupid kid I was. I know this isn't your fault. None of this is. Trouble and disaster follow you around." He paused to center himself. "Every time I look at you I see all those years. I can't do that."
He turned back toward where the Headmistress waited. Harry followed him after a few moments. He knew all about haunting memories. His past clung to him tightly every day. The duo fell into an uncomfortable silence as they walked. It did not help that the paints followed them through the halls. The group of people grew as they went. He didn't think they had done before.
Neville split off once they arrived at the office. Dobby smiled broadly and waved as Nev left without a word.
"Professor Soggybottom is grumpy today," Dobby said to Harry.
The eld studied him for a moment.
"Harry Potter is grumpy too?" Dobby asked.
"I guess," Harry replied. "I'll let you know when I figure it out."
"Headmistress Kitty is ready," Dobby said.
"Thanks, Dobby," he gave the elf a smile as he passed.
He wasn't too surprised to see Tonks in the office. Susan and Professor Greengrass, on the other hand, were not expected at all. McGonagall stood behind her desk. She gave him a gentle smile as Harry fully entered the office. It struck him again how much younger she looked. This year he hadn't seen the Headmistress more than any other student. It should have been jarring to see her, but it was easier for some reason. So many things were off by just a bit that made the mnemonic dissonance hit him hard enough to give him whiplash.
"Mister Potter," Headmistress McGonagall gave him a tight smile and nod. "Please, take a seat. Miss Tonks is here to stand in as your guardian. Is that acceptable?"
"Yes," Harry said as he took a seat. "When did you start doing this?"
"Hm?" McGonagall asked.
"The guardian and staff?" Harry motioned to the others in the room.
"It's been a standing rule since the 1800s," McGonagall explained, easily slipping into her teaching voice. "The Lords and Ladies didn't like the idea of their heirs being alone with the Headmaster. They were afraid they would be influenced or some such nonsense."
"I thought you'd know how this all worked," Susan teased. "You were sent the Headmasters' office at least once a week."
Harry had to think about that for a moment. He hadn't been called to see the Headmistress aside from emergencies. As far as he could recall, this was only the third time he had seen McGonagall this year. How many times did he meet with Dumbledore alone? Aside from Snape, did any other of the staff attend? His recollection was fuzzy. This felt new.
"Why is she here?" Harry asked.
"Harry," Tonks snapped.
"It's a valid question," Harry replied.
"The standard arrangement is for your head of house and one other staff to be present to prevent issues. Professor Longbottom asked Professor Bones to attend in his place. Professor Greengrass is the other member of staff," McGonagall explained.
Harry nodded.
"We brought you here to discuss your future with Hogwarts," Headmistress McGonagall said bringing the conversation back to topic. "Revealing your return will make things rough for you."
"I'm sorry I didn't give you a heads up," Tonks cut in. "Rita has been sitting on that article since she saw you in Diagon. The attacks were more important, and they bought us some time. I was too busy to pay attention."
"Don't worry about it," Harry said and gave her a gentle smile. "It was nice being Newt, but I knew I was on borrowed time."
"Newt?" Tonks asked.
"I'm the newest Harry in Gryffindor," he answered. "Everyone goes by nicknames to make it easier. They called me Newt."
"Do you want to stay?" McGonagall asked.
"You're not kicking me out?" Harry asked in reply.
"Why would we ever do that?" The Headmistress gasped.
"It was a common threat last year," Harry shrugged. He paused. "My last year, not yours."
Headmistress McGonagall glared at a spot off behind Harry's left shoulder. He turned to see the portrait of Dumbledore. The old Headmaster was scanning the little dish of lemon drops with intense concentration. He was doing his level best to avoid the glare short of leaving the room.
"Be that as it may," the Headmistress continued. "You are not going be 'kicked out' of Hogwarts. We hoped to discuss your preferences on how to treat the situation."
"We have a list of excellent tutors we could provide," Professor Greengrass said. "If you choose to take up private instruction."
"I don't know," Harry said sighing. "Could I have some time?"
"Of course," Headmistress McGonagall answered with a gentle smile. "We can meet again in a week to discuss this further." She paused. "Mister Potter… Harry," that got his attention. "Please wait until the next meeting to decide. I would be remiss if you to make a choice in the heat of the moment. We have arranged for a private room and your things have already be moved."
"Thank you," Harry nodded.
"If there is nothing else to discuss, Professor Bones will show you to your room," Headmistress McGonagall looked from each attendee to the other as she spoke.
"Harry?" Tonks prompted him.
He opened his mouth, shut it, and shrugged.
"Please let one of the staff know if you're having any issues," Headmistress McGonagall said. "We're here for you Harry."
"Thank you," Harry said, trying to ignore the heat in his cheeks.
"See you around, Harry," Tonks stood and held out her arms to him.
Harry arched an eyebrow.
"It's a hug," Tonks rolled her eyes.
He accepted the hug with a small smile. His eyes closed on their own as her arms enveloped him. Something deep inside of him ached in that moment.
"What's wrong?" Tonks asked one she had pulled away.
Harry tried to speak. An odd lump in his throat made him clear it a couple of times before he could find his voice.
"Nothing, why?" Harry replied.
Tonks carefully wiped his face clean of a few tears that had escaped his eyes.
"No reason," Tonks said.
"Come along, Mister Potter," Professor Bones said. "I'll show you to your new room."
The walk through the castle was a silent one. They must have done something to reroute the students as they didn't see anyone else along the way. Finally, Professor Bones led him to a room on the first floor. It was a door he had walked by hundreds of times but had never given any attention. He had always thought it was just another closet or forgotten classroom.
Professor Bones waved him on to follow her into the room. Harry did and came to a complete stop once he was inside. This wasn't a dorm room; it looked like a high-class hotel suite. There was a big open area with a personal kitchen, sitting area, and a fireplace with the familiar dish of Floo powder next to it. He didn't think the Head Boy and Girl had access to a private Floo.
"What is this?" He asked as he took it all in.
"Staff quarters," Professor Bones replied. "Let me give you a tour."
Harry nodded.
"This is the main area," she stepped into the center of the room as she spoke. "It's arranged as a sitting area, but you can redecorate as you wish. The Room has more furniture than can imagine and the House Elves can swap things out easily enough."
The area consisted of a comfy looking couch, two armchairs, and a coffee table that he could stretch out on with room to spare. Professor Bones showed him over to the kitchen.
"Your private kitchen in case you'd like to make your own," she said. "Stove, cold box, sink, and utensils are all provided. You can take your meals here if you wish but you would need to attend any special events in the Great Hall."
"The Elves will let me?" Harry asked.
"We have an agreement with them," she replied. "It's common for the staff to have their personal elf responsible for their quarters and they can get very territorial about their people."
She led him over to the far wall where there were two more doors.
"This is the bathroom," Professor Bones opened one.
He leaned inside enough to see a private shower, large bathtub, and all the standard things. The bathtub wasn't as big as the one in the Prefect's Bath. It still had enough room for a few people to comfortably at the same time.
"And this," Professor Bones opened the other door. "Is the bedroom."
Harry followed her into the other room. A large, four-post bed rested against the wall to the side as well as a little office area. Professor Bones strolled into the center of the room. She took a seat on the edge of the bed and patted beside her. He took her up on the offer and sat next to her.
"How are you doing?" She asked softly.
"I'm ok," Harry said. "Thanks professor."
"Please," she snorted. "Call me Susan. You can any time we're alone. I never thought I'd get tired of people calling me Professor, but here I am."
"Thanks, Susan," Harry repeated with a smile. "I've been through worse. I'm just happy I got to be Newt for a while. It was nice being another student and not The Boy Who Lived."
"Again," Susan added. "The Boy Who Lived Again." She wrinkled her nose. "No, that doesn't sound right when it's put together. Guess you'll just have to settle for The Boy Who Lived."
"Lucky me," Harry tried not to sound too bitter.
"Hey," Susan put her arm around his shoulders. "It doesn't take a genius to see you don't like the title. You have to admit, it fits this time."
Harry nodded and let out a long sigh.
"Yeah," he said after a moment. "At least I can remember it this time."
"That's the spirit," Susan said with a smile. "Come to me if you need anything. I know Neville is going through things. He tried to explain it to me. Not sure if I understood what he was saying. I know the Weasley's are around, but I'm here too. You aren't alone, Harry."
"Thanks," Harry said feeling the tension ease from his shoulders. "I have to get to class."
"No," Susan said using her Professor Voice. "You're excused from classes today. I'm betting Sirius will want to check in on you once Tonks talks to him. Until then, you need some time to get your thoughts in order."
"That sounds like a horrible idea," Harry groaned. "An entire day stuck with my thoughts. All I can do is wait to see how people react. What I need is something to take my mind off things." He paused. "I don't suppose I could get a pass to do some flying?"
"Harry," Susan laughed. "Don’t ever change."
"What?" Harry asked.
"The first thing you think of is flying," Susan continued to laugh. "You do realize that we're in your new bedroom, on your bed, alone, and I've got a couple of hours before my first class."
"Oh," Harry felt his mouth dry.
Susan had been cute and sexy when she was younger. Now, she was damn sexy and gorgeous. She took after her aunt a statuesque redhead with breasts that were works of art. Currently, she wore a coat similar to those Aurors used, but black to fit in with normal robes.
"So, what do you say?" Susan asked. "Would that keep your mind occupied?"
Harry nodded, not trusting his voice.
Susan flashed a wicked grin, and she turned her attention downwards as she practically tore his fly open in an effort to get his trousers down. She shoved the fabric down around his knees in a single motion, and his erection snapped up to full attention, thwacking her on the side of her face and spattering her cheek with a bit of pre-cum.
Her eyes widened at the size of his member. Susan wasn't a prude, but she didn't sleep around. She would proudly say she was picky when it came to her sexual partners. That being said, Harry wasn't the biggest she had ever seen, but he certainly wasn't far from it. She paused only the briefest of moments before diving forward to lick his cockhead clean. Her skilled tongue expertly cleaned his head before kissing it softly. She nuzzled along the length of its paradoxical hard softness, then ducked down to its base and licked a stripe all the way up. Once she reached the top, she took a deep breath, licked her lips one last time in anticipation, then pushed the whole tasty head of it into her mouth.
Harry moaned aloud with pleasure as she engulfed it his cock, his hips bucked of their own accord. Luckily, Susan seemed to take that as a compliment. She started with long, languid bobs. Susan took her time learning all the spots that made him squirm. Her pace increased and he felt his orgasm continue to build, he reached up to tangle the fingers of his right hand in her hair, guiding her up and down as he approached his peak. Building up the pace, he started bucking his hips up as well, losing himself in the sensations. His entire body tensed, and his mind went blank. The next moment sent a load of cum right into her throat.
Susan gulped loudly enjoying the dazed expression on his face. She released his cock from her mouth and got to work licking it all up. It would have been rude to waste a single drop of the warm, tasty treat.
She patted his legs, then stood up. He wasn't aware enough to see where she got her want. What he did know was that he went from having a fully-clothed gorgeous woman standing in front of him to admiring a gorgeous goddess in lingerie standing before him. She shook her barely-contained breasts into his face. If anything, the fantasies of all the boys of Hogwarts fell short of doing her perfect, perky breasts the worship they deserved.
Susan pointed her wand at him. A shift in the air told him that his clothes were gone too. He was far too involved to care. Harry shifted forward to meet her and captured one glorious nipple in his mouth. Her other breast, he groped with one hand, while his other hand wrapped around her to hold her close.
Harry made sure to leave a couple of love-bites as he mauled her gorgeous chest. He jolted when he felt her shift her lingerie to the side. She ground her bare pussy against the base of his cock. Susan also succeeded in grinding away what was left of his inhibitions. He grabbed a handful of her ass with both hands then lifted her up, dragging her cunt up along the bottom of his cock until his head was resting right at her entrance. She took his hard shaft and guided him to the right spot, then she plunged about halfway down in one swift move. Susan let out a wordless scream. Harry let out a moan of his own as her tight, hot, and absolutely soaking pussy enveloped him.
"Sweet fuck, you are tight!" he grunted out.
Susan took deep, shuddering breathes as she tried to keep herself in motion as she moved up and down his length. She closed her eyes and bit her lips as she pushed herself down another inch or two. Harry helped hold her steady while teasing her hard nipples with his thumbs.
Harry could feel his end approaching fast. He decided to take control and push her over the edge. With a shove to one side and a twist of his hips, he rolled them both over so that she was laid out on the bed with him on top. Quickly shifting himself up onto his knees and hefting her up by the hips to get her into a better angle. She looked up at him wide-eyed at the sudden change. Only her upper back, shoulders, and head remaining on the bed as he held her lower half up, his hard member still held deep within her.
He flashed her a roguish smile as he dragged his cock slowly out until his tip was inside. Just when she was starting to get frustrated he shoved forward, hilting in her hot, vicelike cunt. Before she could even catch her breath, he pulled back and hammered again and again. He set an absolutely punishing pace, wanting to push her over the edge before he reached his own. She was being absolutely fucked senseless. Her head lolled on the bed as she was used by the man of her dreams. She rapidly found herself rocketing towards an orgasm faster than she'd ever imagined possible. Susan would admit that she was usually the one in control in sexual encounters, but this was a wonderful experience. She felt her ass finally press against his thighs as he shoved himself completely within her. Her orgasm melted her brain and trigged his own. He unleashed thick shots of his hot seed deeper than she had felt before. All she could do was hang on, clamping her legs around his body as white-hot pleasure consumed her.
For a long moment, all she knew was ecstasy, but as it started to drift away. Susan felt him pull out of her and flop onto the bed next to her. She took a couple of minutes to simply focus on getting her breathing under control.
"Remember," she gave him a teasing smile. "Come to me if you need anything."
