LOG:05 - Page 5 + News
🕑 Added 2018-08-21 04:15:42 +0000 UTC Here's the newest page and a little bit of an update.First, I did not lose my health insurance! So that's good.
I did however lose 4 big freelance clients all at once, as in they pulled out on jobs before I was able to even start. These are jobs I'd lined up to carry me through the next few months. So I've been scrambling.
A part of that scramble has been to look for more steady, reliable employment. I'm burnt out hard on the freelance life. So in addition to trying to make enough money to make rent and at the end of the month, I'm also sending out resumes, going to interviews, and beefing up my portfolio. So I'm stretched pretty thin. That's the main reason the comic has gone bi-weekly. Once I've landed something I plan to go back to weekly page updates. I've got some good leads so fingers crossed.
That's about it for now. I'm looking at the roughs for the next few pages and I'm not sure I like the pacing. So I'm gonna go sort that out, it will probably mean moving one page until later in the comic, and putting a new page in it's place.
Also the control operators are now named Vicks and Wedge. Because that popped into my head as I was working on the dialogue for this page.

Ugh, that's a bitch, having clients bail on you. Hope the search for steady income goes well.
