Update on the Digital Book Releases
🕑 Added 2015-07-25 00:58:53 +0000 UTC Hey guys, a quick update on the status of the ebook version of the first two chapters.Right now I'm thinking LOG:01 will be available within the next two weeks. It's taking longer than I expected to put the ebook together and something came up which will prevent me from working on it next week.
Why the delay? I'm taking the opportunity of setting up the ebooks to also set up the print files should I ever be able to do a print run of the book. Why is that slowing things down? Basically, I goofed and the page layouts need to be tweaked for the first...oh, 60-70 pages of the comic. Some of these tweaks take a couple of seconds, some of them take a couple of hours.
Right now I'm almost halfway done with LOG:01. The good news is, I corrected this goof early on in LOG:02 so it won't take nearly as long to get the ebook for LOG:02 out and should be available before the end of August as planned.
What can you expect with the ebook versions? Well, exactly what you're probably already expecting. They'll be the comic, but in PDF form (I'm going with PDF because everyone can read PDFs and most comic readers support them, too.) and they'll also be higher resolution than the web version.
I've been putting the web version on my phone and it looks and reads great like that.
Right now I've only thought this through so far as a Patron bonus, but I do want to eventually sell the ebooks through the website. I'll work out the details on that once I actually have the books done.
