Dev Blog #120 - The Big Date

We're at the point in development where we're preparing to start in on some of Chapter 4's larger events, and that's what we're gonna be talking about today!
The Big Date - Redux
One of my personal favorite events from Chapter 3 was the large Saturday date event, wherein you had the opportunity to choose to spend your entire day with your choice of characters based on your relationships to them.
This kind of event will be making a return for Update 4.0.1, giving the player the chance to spend their day (and potentially their weekend!) with Penny, Tasha, or Chris. Additionally, under the right circumstances, you might get the option of spending some quality time with Sophie! This event will follow much the same formula as the last one, taking recent happenings into consideration of course, though this time you'll potentially be able to spend the night together with your partner. In addition to a meaningful Affection boost, you'll also get to see new scenes as a result! Also, those who decided to take Lauren out for the day last time shouldn't be too surprised if a certain mall clerk takes interest in your day out!
The new date event is only the precursor for the real star of the next update: The long overdue Thanksgiving Event! This will be a self-contained, five day event that will be driven by a series of player decisions and scenarios, and will contain a number of new scenes and events!
A few final odds and ends for this week... The update is set to include a refreshed, repeatable breakfast event between the MC and Ava, the Pit system is getting itself established, and the bug report channels are being monitored constantly for things that need to be addressed. Special thanks to everyone reporting bugs and inconsistencies! Lastly, I'm still expecting to get a new dev build out this week, so those in the applicable backer tiers should be on the lookout for that.
