DevBlog #109 - New And Returning Faces

Last week really dug into what's coming in Update 4.0 and Chapter 4, so there's really not a ton on the menu for today's devblog. Even still, touching base is never bad, so let's get to it!
Visitors From HQ
So I mentioned last week that Chapter 4 would see some of The Company's upper management taking center stage and that garnered a surprising amount of speculation. Well, I figured being the benevolent bear I am, I would go ahead and just clear that right up.
Update 4.0 will see Ms. Ann return to the story since the end of Chapter 2. For those of you who need a refresher, she acts as Sophie's supervisor and made an all-too-brief appearance after Julia's little incident. With the first Chapter 4 update, she'll be making a return in a big way, acting as another character you'll have the chance to interact with regularly! Ms. Ann will have a number of scripted events pertaining to the story, but as someone accustomed to the fine depravity back at HQ you should also expect to get to know her on a more... intimate level, should that strike your fancy. Her presence will be felt throughout the entirety of Chapter 4, but you won't be waiting long to get to know this feisty executive!
Also, just for the record, despite it being quite a ways away we're already working out exactly how temporary characters like Lauren and Ms. Ann will be added to the upcoming Free Play mode. Nothing to share here, but I can 100% confirm that they "will" be available when this mode goes live in a future update.
Towards the end of this update, expect to have the mask pulled off the mysterious Mr. G who has been scheming with Dr. Klein for some time now. And it's not just characters, either! With such easy access to Ms. Ann, you'll be made privy to all sorts of information concerning the inner workings of The Company, how HQ operates, and more about the powerful Board of Executives!
Incoming Dev Builds
Dev builds for linear story updates are a little tricky to maintain due to the constant timey wimey bullshit that has to be put into place, but they ARE coming.
My expectation is to have the first one out be either the end of this week or early next so as to start testing early Chapter 4 story events, as well as Ms. Ann and Diana focused random events. One thing to note is that every dev build will be resetting the clock due to the time sensitive events in this update. That shouldn't be too much of a problem, but if you're someone who likes to play the dev builds through Easter then, well, maybe stop.
