5.4 - Update Progress #2
🕑 Added 2018-08-01 07:01:01 +0000 UTC Greetings everyone!Today's public update will be on the short side as the majority of the update roadmap has already been outlined here, and the meat of this week's preview is only available to patrons due to, well, various "decency policies" Don't worry, though! I have a little preview for you down below!
First, the progress report:

To be clear, the first major dosing event for Sophie is still the first event you have with her in the lab. The second occurs immediately after Chapter 1 ends, the third midway through Chapter 2, and the fourth will be early in Chapter 3.
What I'm working on right now are the events themselves, the third one being released to pre-alpha tier patrons very soon. Once that's complete, I'll be filling in the blanks with the various dynamic and random events that your choices will unlock.
Serum Mechanics Discussion
After outlining how serums will work with Sophie, there was a lot of discussion regarding the possibility of that same system being applied to other characters.
I see a huge benefit in doing this, as it would really bolster the idea of choice and route variance that I want this game to be known for. It also prevents players from front-loading their serums at the start of the game, which is something the lust system is currently meant to gate. Additionally, it gives me a lot more control over event timing, as I'll know exactly when and where players will be dosing specific characters. Finally, it goes a long way in assuring that each playthrough is different, which I love. Erotic Rogue-like?
On the flip side, there's the potential for this to take away a lot of player agency, no longer having the ability to decide when and where they dose the characters of their choice. It greatly devalues the serum system itself, though honestly serum manufacturing really stands to get a rework as it is. The biggest issue, of course, is implementation time. It would take an entire update cycle to convert all the characters over to the new system, and there would be a number of content gaps in the beginning.
This isn't me saying I'm thinking about going one way or the other, I just think it's a discussion worth having!
Art Preview
My artist and I have been hard at work developing a dynamic sex scene engine for The Company! Most scenes in the game boil down to A is doing B to C in D position, so we came up with a way to generate these scenes on the fly similar to how the paper doll system works.
A number of universal components and modifiers can be layered over a base character to convey various ideas, and I'm happy to announce that our work is finally yielding results!
Now, again, the public preview is going to be a little... edited...

This is the base image for Sophie in the doggystyle position. There are additional positions for missionary, riding/sitting/masturbating, and oral/kissing. Patrons will get to see a few different variations applied, but for now just know that this basically means we'll be able to visualize any combinations of assets and actions for any given character.
Futa Sophie? No problem. Breast-expanded Dakota? Easy.
In addition to the positions and modifiers, clothing will also be added in varying stages of undress for NPCs. Players will see their characters exactly as they'd expect to as well!

Perhaps even give the player a choice with the early game dreams. Wether he would like to go dominant Sub or Everything? But i dont know how vital that would be. But i myself love trying to be the strong ass dominant guy but still getting subbed no matter how hard i try to struggle.. a choice like that would perhaps give me that option. I do have several storyline ideas. Im not one to write a story but i do perhaps have some inspirational ideas if you would like that? But thats for much later in the games development i guess for now keep continuing. I am loving the game alot thus your doin great work. But i just love to help out in the games i love Without trying to change it to much xD
About the debate of current system for all characters or the previous one I will say the following: it's better the new system, rather than follow an unique path I think that people prefer more paths even if it means less control over when you dose them, I don't think that players care so much about when compared to the effects and more freedom/control over what happens when dosing. But I think that the best option is "mixing them", I like to see porn with the sister or that Tasha dominates Chanel, things like that shouldn't be lost. Here is what I think is the best solution, delimite the limits of the sub/neutral/dom stat and the serums. A dominant character is more proactive and a submissive one gets more pushed around, a good example is Tasha morning visit in the office, if Tasha is dominant she would make you suck her off, but if submissive she would suck you off (unless she can't because of other reasons in which she will apologize and do nothing), now having said that the problem isn't the actions, it's that you have to take all of them to continue using the serum, I would prefer to have multiple things over what to influence and not having to choose everything. Having said that, just a tiny recommendation, I think that some players that play as a sub would find it quite interesting if they could choose if their "dom character" could push them to become a sissy/bimbo.

I really like the idea of using the same dosing system for the rest of the NPCs as it puts emphasis on choices that matter and replayability, but also consistency.

I love this idea. Also something i would like is perhaps the serum system to take a bit more control over the game as of how your charracter is. So if the charracter is dominant the serum will have a dominant effect. If your charracter is submissive the serum wil have a submissive effect. A bit like how it already is with John and the Catcollar with the mom I love the fact as a sub myself the loss of control so that cat colar thing you implemented last time was amazing loved every bit of it. But i think that is way harder to implement so something to keep in mind for the far future.
what i would like the serums system for others is you can dose them when ever it could be just like now , but after you use the serums there would have some commands you can choose like you dose Sophie And different command may lead different ways like dom/sub or love
