Art Preview - Wardrobe System
🕑 Added 2018-05-01 07:01:00 +0000 UTC Hey everyone!In the interim between updates I wanted to show off the Wardrobe System as it will appear with the addition of RD's artwork. Some of you may remember me previewing this awhile ago, but it's come a ways since then and I have some new stuff to show off!
Firstly, here's what you'll see when you first enter the wardrobe screen after starting a new game:
By using CSS grids I've managed to make the layout much cleaner than the first time around! You'll notice that thumbnails for clothing are hidden. This happens automatically when choosing to use artwork, since the visual is now reflected on your character rather than on the table.
Once you decide to change a piece of clothing, you'll be able to see the changes occur in real time within the sub-menu.
This new system also recognizing certain clothing items as being dresses. When a dress is equipped, your bottom clothing slot will automatically empty and you'll be locked out of it until you equip a non-dress top.
You'll also notice I've made bras their own clothing slot. This is, of course, in anticipation for the overhaul of the transformation system! The system is also smart enough to hide clothing that might be in the way when selecting something that appears beneath it. Underwear, for example...
Your character's appears will reflect in the wardrobe scene accessible from the bedroom, your clothing reference sheet accessible from the sidebar, and of course during dialogue scenes with other characters.
Opting to use the artwork will also replace all portraits and add the above VN style dialogue visuals to all appropriate scenes. Of course, the artwork will extend to the naught bits as well (I mean that's the point, right?) and once I have something complete enough to share you can expect to see it here!
As for the paper doll wardrobe system. I intend to release this as an option when 5.3 is complete. You'll be able to turn it on or off as desired. A complete artwork option will roll out once artwork is complete, and will be an option in addition to the current media used in the game.

That's actually a great idea! It won't make it into the next update, but I've put it on the roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion!

So I know this is an old post, but I'm not sure where else to put this. In regards to your wardrobe, my brother recently started transitioning from a woman to a man and he started to wear a body wrap to hide his pre-existing, rather large, breats. It works pretty well and he is able to make his size F breasts appear to be more of an inflated chess one would get from working out. All of this to say, we have a few items to bring the player from female to male in the game but maybe since we have a bra section now you could introduce a body wrap one could wear to make them appear more masculine and help the user to transition in the game.

For positive feedback, I'm really digging the art style and having the consistency between scenes will be super helpful for full immersion. I'm glad that the artist didn't go into a manga/anime style as this seems to be more of a norm, and the features are more realistic as opposed to the large over-exaggerated assets. This art will also, hopefully, lead to full character customization. Right now when we give the strap-on to Ava, for example, when we interact with her vagina we don't see her penis, and when we interact with her penis we don't see her vagina. With custom art this can be addressed which is a benefit. Also hopefully we'll be able to customize our breast size, and possibly penis length, which wouldn't be possible only using available image sets. Also you won't run into legal trouble.

Does this mean, that after that update the only pornographic content will be drawn instead of the gifs? I'm not a really huge fan of the art style, so I would definitely prefer it to be a choice whether I see the drawn scenes or the gifs.
Really excited for everything, minus the art style. Loving both the new and the reworked content.
