Patreon - Devblogs Feedback

Like others, I never pledged for rewards. I wouldn't even care if all releases where made public immediately. I like the game, and want to see it through to the end. As long as I feel my pledge isn't being abused, or drawn out unnecessarily, it will remain.

The lack of public information and discussion was one of the bigger reasons I never pledged. And as much as I like interacting with Westane on hypnopics or f95, I feel its better to make this patreon page more accessible to people. Potential patron have questions and/or seek information. Largely they're greeted with a wall of 'pay to see anything', which imo is a great reason to move on and find something else.

I support because I hate when good games die. The best way of insuring that the games I like are continually expanded, and hopefully improved (that doesn't always happen) is to support in a venue like Patreon. That being said, I feel that rewards should be kept safe for those who contribute. I don't care if Development Blogs are open to the public. There is nothing wrong with more communication and expansion of ideas, but voting, as well as previously promised rewards, need to be reserved for financial contributors. Otherwise, you will have to rely on altruism for support and it doesn't pay much.

In agreement with goctionni. the rewards are nice, but i personally enjoy the game and want to see the creator be able to put their best foot forward when it comes to making it. If more people can see and read what the dev is thinking and give their thoughts and I put the game can only get better since there would be a bigger pool of ideas to choose from

The reason I am a patron is not for any of the rewards. It is because I want to support creators that create something I enjoy. If you want to make me happier, the only way I can imagine is doing more (maybe add other developers or something, I dont know)

So long as the majority is supportive, make it public and increase non-patron engagement. Maybe we can get some more patrons, too.

I think the people that are going to pledge will pledge, and those that aren't going to won't, regardless. We are throwing our money at you because we enjoy your game and want it to continue. As long as that happens, I would assume that we generally don't care if there are any patron rewards at all or not, or at least that's my take on it.

I doubt many people actually care about whether the dev blogs are patron only - that's not to say we don't care about what's in them, just that we care about the actual game more. That's why I pledged, at least.
