5.2 - Development Update
🕑 Added 2017-12-27 07:00:00 +0000 UTC Greetings everyone!This is going to be a quick and dirty update in light of the holidays and all that, but I think you'll find it's a goodie nonetheless.
Firstly, development for 5.2 is going along nicely. The aforementioned mechanics are being implemented smoothly and I'm finding myself quite satisfied with what they bring to the game! Really, what I've had on my mind more than anything lately, has been my development cycle.
See, I've been doing some research, like, deep market research. I've been consulting other devs, anonymously polling patrons, asking around at my mom's church, and what I've found is that people actually enjoy getting to play new content. In light of this revelation, I'm going to make an effort to change up my release schedule a little bit so that it'll get you all playing new content faster and, so long as I don't let it, not add any additional stress on my part.
All joking aside, this isn't some kind of amazingly insightful overhaul to my way workflow. Basically, I'm just going to separate the content a little more. To wit:
Before:
- 5.2 - Mom content, expand new mechanics to entire game, expand on existing not-mom content
- 5.3 - Poll winner content, expand new mechanics, expand existing content...
Starting Now:
- 5.2 - Mom content, apply new mechanics to mom content
- 5.3 - Expand new mechanics to other characters
- 5.4 - Expand on existing content
- 5.5 - New poll winner content
Basically, I'm going to make an effort to make the patches flow a little more quickly by making them a little more bite-size, meaning I'll be hanging up my novel-size patch notes for a while. As a result, I'll likely be rethinking the public release schedule of content as well, possibly reserving some patches as patron exclusives. I have nothing to report to that end, though.
In any case, hopefully everyone's excited to be playing new content sooner rather than later! I'd love any feedback in these regards, but I believe this change of pace will be beneficial.
Oh right, one more thing. My pre-alpha patrons already know about this, but here's a little code snippet I happened to drop...

Right now I'm conservatively shooting for towards the end of January. Hoping for sooner though.

YAWN. Until the sissy PC can get knocked up by mum this is nowhere near fetishy enough. Oh, Happy New Year everyone.
just make sure to finish mom before going all out on this. she would be a great first test/intro into this new makanic. while at the same time help iron out some of the glaring bugs and issues with it's implamentation and state changes.
