5.2 - Poll Position

I know I'm cheating a little bit, but I thought this would be a good time to dig a little deeper into the planned content should mom win the vote. The biggest thing to take away is that if she does win, it doesn't just mean content for her specifically, but also rounding out content for Dakota, as well as expanded content at home in general.
For starters, this means room exploration and functionality. Of course this means Mom's Room, which will function similarly to Dakota's Room, but also the Living Room, Kitchen, and the newly added Bathroom! The newly added bathroom will allow the player to check themselves in the mirror, apply makeup to increase femininity, and play host to a handful of events.
Interactions with your family will be changing as well. Instead of scenes playing out based on the current game state, think the Living Room scene with mom and Dakota, the player will now have some control. Basically, if you want to walk into the living room while Dakota's watching a movie and want to request oral relief, you'll be able to. Of course these scenes will play out differently based on serum usage, gender states, arousal, and other factors, but you'll get to decide if and what to initiate. This system will roll out to the rest of the game as well.
I also plan on giving the random event system another pass. I'll be looking at making events both time and location based so as to add a small amount of control over which events the player wants to trigger. If I can get this implemented in a way that feels good, then great. If not, then it may not make it into this update.
Office Space
The office will be getting some minor updates as well. 5.2 will see basic (Read: BASIC!) implementation of co-worker conversations so as to get those systems into place. Don't expect them to have much to talk about until their content patches come around though. Likewise, the lab and offices will have their exploration features added, though, again, with little to explore. I'll be using these systems to clean up Chapter 2 a little bit, added story options where they feel appropriate.
I'm also keeping an eye on the in-game economics, and will continue to tweak the system where it makes sense. You can expect some additional options in the lab, and assuming development hasn't already run too long by the time I get to it, a major new feature that will have a huge impact on making money and spending time in the game. This is where Julia comes into play.
That's all I have to share for now, and really it just serves as a basic outline as to what's coming. Once the vote finishes next week I'll be returning to full-on development mode, and pre-alpha builds will start going out again.

It definitely feels like the game could use a 'skip workday' buttons sometimes, though. Like, if you don't want to click your way through each time period you can just skip to the end of the day.

If the mother wins, I'll admit that I'm gonna be somewhat disappointed. Even with the addition of some BASIC! office conversation and exploration, the larger majority of this game, in my opinion, the office side of it, gains virtually no content. Makes going back and playing through all the office content just to see what you can get the mother to do rather tedious.

Yeah, it's a game we play. Yojimbo "pretends" like he thinks I'm a narcissistic blowhard who loves hearing the sound of his own typing, and I "pretend" like I don't go curl up in the corner sobbing in a ball of my own insecurities. It's... It's good fun! Ha...ha...
im just happy he actually tells us what is happening, there are way to many creators who go silent for weeks.

I mean I could just post "Game's coming along fine, nobody panic!" Frankly, considering the word count of the game is 10,000 away from being TWO Harry Potter books, I like to think my posts are on the conservative side!
