A quick roundup of some of the Dragon's Dogma 2 mods I have been trying to get out quickly, and all 3 could use additional updates.
Some issues I've ran into is the way these textures are created and stored in the game. I initially assumed there would be only 1 skin texture that is then procedurally modified for different characters, at least for the humans. But instead there are 40 unique skin textures for the character creator, and additionally over 1,700 textures for all the male and female NPCs in the game that are pre-baked and and stored individually.
Which is unfortunate, since there is a hot springs area in the game where canonically NPCs can appear nude at any point, so it would be interesting to be able to mod all the NPC skins textures appropriately. But I don't have an efficient method of going through all the textures currently. Right now each texture takes me 10-40 minutes each to create, so going through ~1,500 textures would take an insane amount of time with my current method. So I'm brainstorming ways that I can batch process all these textures while still keeping the texture quality high.
