Goons and Clothes

After my battle with the big C, I am back in action. Today we are going to be talking about the different kinds of missions that Molly can undertake in OWH and we will also be having a chat about my new upload schedule but before we do that, I wanted to show off the completed Regime goons!
Goons!
Regime goons come in three varieties, your standard blue security/police goon, your tan guard goon, and your green military goon. Each one has three skin color variations, four rank variations as well as helmet and gun variations. The goon ended up being the hardest (hehe) character sprite to complete so far due to all the different options we needed for game. You'll be seeing a lot of these guys.
This leaves only 3 main character sprites left to complete (the bad guys). As well as some minor character silhouettes to complete.
Missions
With that out of the way let me talk a little bit about how I have split the missions in OWH. There are a total of four categories of missions that Molly will be undertaking during her week long operation. These are:
- Priority Missions
- Covert Ancillary Missions
- Overt Ancillary Missions
- The Final Mission
Priority Missions are those which progress the plot of the game in a meaningful way and each of the priority mission chains are connected to one of the three main villains. As you progress in a priority mission, you will be learning more about a particular villain and determining how you are going to take them down or in some cases, turn them to your side. These missions are no joke and it is easy for Molly to mess up in them if she doesn't have the correct gear or training. Priority mission chains are long and often require multiple outings to complete.
Covert Ancillary Missions are those where stealth is imperative to success. These include surveillance, scouting, and in some cases, thievery. Best to increase Molly’s cunning and to buy her a few smoke bombs before tackling these. Meanwhile, Overt Ancillary Missions are those in which might or mischief are more important. These can include honey potting, eliminating threats, and starting riots.
Completion of Ancillary missions can have an effect on piority missions of OWH. Doing them can make the priority missions significantly easier. Side mission chains are not as long as priority missions but they still often take multiple outings to fully complete.
Everything in OWH culminates in the Final Mission on the last day of the week. Every single other mission you have completed (and those you haven't completed) will factor in some way to the final mission? Managed to turn one of the villains? Congratulations, now they are available to support you. Stole secret underground schematics? You can now use them to bypass the enemy position. How the Final Mission goes as well as how trained and corrupted Molly is will also determine the ending of OWH.
Update Schedule
With work and university back in session, I have been finding myself with less and less time during the week. Add to that the fact I have a baby on the way and I am going to be very time poor soon and so I need to change up the Patreon/Substack update schedule so I can focus what little free time I will have on developing OWH. This will mean smaller weekly update snippets with a big end of month update that will coinside with a build release. For example in March:
2nd of March - Small Progress Update
9th of March - Small Progress Update
16th of March - Small Progress Update
23rd of March - Large Progress Update with Build Release
30th of March - Break
As I mentioned before, I want to use my time wisely to make OWH development as quick as possible.
Clothing Poll
Finally we have the first clothing option poll. The winning choice of this poll will be added to the game as a clothing option of Molly.
