Alpha 0.32 - What's New (JAN Week 4)
🕑 Added 2021-01-28 00:19:47 +0000 UTCHey, guys.
Last update for the month, wanted to let you know what to expect with Alpha 0.32 releases and content.
This coming release's focus has been two things; expanding the town to include an uptown, and progressing the main story content, which in turn means working on the office interior and adding new characters. I believe we've included 30k additional words of content into this update, included 22 new locations, and 8 new cast members.
Because of the amount of new locations, character sprites, and how long it takes to create a new map, most if not all the locations are planned out/ sketched out but not rendered. At the very least, you'll be able to see what all these locations will look like in a blueprint sense but all the rendering will be done throughout the 0.33-0.35, piece by piece.
I would've taken the last few days of development before the Early Access release to try and render a few of them but I think that time is better spent just QA testing the game and making sure it's as clean of bugs as we can humanly get it to.
I've also officially added a new member to A Team Uncovered, wabeesabi, and their sole role is to transfer dialogue into game and code in any sprite work needed to be done (not CG scenes). So any scenes that involve sprites, should be taken care of.
As for the release schedule, I wanted to continue the routine of getting the 2-week Early Access out within the first few days of the month but we've also scheduled a Steam release on the 12th of February in time for Valentine's Day. So that isn't quite the 14 day gap that a 2-week means. We've decided to have 5-day gaps in between the 2-week early access, 1-week early access, and Steam/$5+ Patrons.
This is how it should look like:
-2 Week Early Access - 2nd of February
-1 Week Early Access - 7th of February
-$5+ Patron/ Steam - 12th of February
Keep those dates in mind if those matter to you.
Anyway, thank you for your patience and continued support. We will continue working hard, I think this first month of 2021 has been an especially good one and we aim to continue at this pace for the months to come.
Stay sleezy!
GeeSeki out!
