BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
🕑 Added 2020-06-25 17:00:24 +0000 UTCHey guys,
We have a big announcement to make…
We have joined the TinyHat Studios family and we are bringing A Town Uncovered to Steam! Check the link right below to view at the Early Access page.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1330190/A_Town_Uncovered/
We want to make a disclaimer that the game itself is still under review by Steam but we have made thorough, sufficient changes to certain elements and themes to comply with Steam’s policy. We are confident that it will be approved but there still is a tiny chance that it won’t.
But GeeSeki, why should I get it on Steam?
Buying A Town Uncovered on steam is a one-time purchase and thus, you will have access to future Steam updates at no extra cost!
Not to mention the game will include Steam’s exclusive features such as cloud saving, achievements, and eventually Steam trading cards. More info on this closer to the release date.
I must preface that for every new A Town Uncovered Steam update, there will be 2 Patreon updates. This is so that we can provide owners on Steam a bigger, more polished update roughly every 4 months.
What if I don’t want to get it on Steam?
Don’t worry, we will still be putting the game up here on a bi-monthly basis (roughly every 2nd month).
We will be making a change in the Patreon tier though and they will be as followed:
$1 Tier - Discontinued
$3 Tier - News and Discord Access
$5 Tier - All the Above + Game Access and Poll Voting Rights
$7 Tier - All the Above + Cheat Codes and 1 Week Early Access
$10 Tier - All the Above + 2 Week Early Access
$20 Tier - All the Above + Special Thanks Credit
These changes will take place AFTER the $3 tier of this coming update (0.29) which will first be available for 2 Week Early Access on the 10th of July.
What if I don’t want to pay to play?
Unfortunately, the downside is that we will not be able to release any more free Public Versions once we release it on Steam. We would have loved to be able to provide you with continuous easily accessible content but Steam would not allow for it.
I implore you to add the game to your wishlist and wait for a good sale to snag it up if you’re tight on cash, not only will you still be able to support the game, but you’ll be able to keep it and play future Steam versions at no extra cost.
-----------------------------
We are so excited to move to the next stage of A Town Uncovered!
This project started out with just me and a dream, and 4.5 years in and we now have a development team consisting of myself (creator and game director), DarkMage (programmer), Robert Hawkins (writer), and now Smear (artist).
It has definitely been a really long journey so far and we have a lot to keep working on but the goals are clearer than ever and our drive to complete storylines are stronger than ever.
And all of this is thanks to every single one of you, all the Patreon supports, the players, the ones who fell in love with our characters and the world. You make it possible and we can’t thank you enough.
I kindly ask that you continue to support us by doing one or all of the following, it’ll really help us a ton.
Visit Our Steam Page: Check out our snazzy-lookin’ trailer on our snazzy-lookin’ Steam page!
Wishlist The Game: Get notified when the game is live and when it’s discounted! Praise Gaben.
Tell Your Friends: Let your friends know about our upcoming Steam release! Share that link!
Thank you once again for your continued support, we love you all so much.

I noticed on steam, it's only on windows. Can you just add apple mac to the platform? I'm a current apple user. If not, I'll just download the game on Patreon.

It sounds cool and all the explanations are clear. Yes, there will be more exclusive features on the Steam, and access to updates at no extra cost is also good news.

So, does this mean the Patron voted scenes are permanently gone, instead of just temporarily? Because they are not listen in the new rewards.

Is there a separate branch of the game for Steam now, or are your "thorough changes" on the Patreon version as well?

My concern about steam as well. I play these types of games privately. I wouldn't want friends and family seeing this in my feed or showing me playing it. Not to mention my recorded hours. Lol. I understand I can change some privacy settings on steam, but my profile and activity has always been public. I guess il have to up my pledge on patreon. Will there ever be a final release purchase on your website or something? I assume the 3$ patreons won't have any more game access/updates once it goes on steam.

I'll stick with the patreon version... I got family on my steam lol.

Will the patreon version be changed to match the changes to the steam ver?

How much are you having to cut/change/sacrifice just to be put on Steam?
