Gar, what a total mess! It should have been such a simple matter: Find the body, maybe get lucky and find some useful notes, alter the local non-magicals' memories as needed and proceed to the next breadcrumb. But Noooo! Harry Potter is involved! Nothing that simple could be allowed to happen. Magical law enforcement will be making an appearance shortly. Sirius will get Ted involved in the resulting legal mess. Professor Lupin and/or Snape will be dragged in due to the lycanthropy elements. And then.... Plus there's an underground chamber to be dealt with. In the lower levels of a perfectly normal church. And now we have to wait for the next chapter. Excuse me, I need to make certain my blood pressure medications are up to date to survive this stress. Oh yes. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Excellent work as always. I don't know how but something told me as I was reading this chapter that they were going to find not a corpse but a centuries long imprisoned witch cause that is just what a Black would do just to get even.
