Lillias Right and Carolyn Jean NW Retreat
🕑 Added 2018-04-08 21:52:17 +0000 UTCI traveled the world to find a bamboo forest, and when I finally arrived I found it to be impossible to shoot. We build fences to protect because if we don't some of us will destroy. Its a sad thing the lengths we must go to protect what we should cherish. I aim to walk as lightly as possible to leave as little evidence of myself as one can. As photographers we should be ghosts.
I flew home and during our retreat I found myself not in a forest, but a garden. Enough bamboo to create something in, though still far from what I had dreamt I would find in japan. Still in the city a garden can serve as its own respite from the rest of the world.
So Carolyn, Lillias and I snuck out to create a few images among the tall grass.

I hate the disappointment of building up a certain shot in my head, only to find that the conditions aren't what I expected once I get there. :( I think the garden worked quite well. Bamboo is quite pretty.... as long as it is in someone ELSE'S yard... haha...
