🕑 Added 2017-12-13 21:41:00 +0000 UTCI apologize for the disappearing act since the beginning of the month, I've been working hard to catch up, and I still want to make December great for all of you, so I will be updating every day for the next 12 days. Imagine a 12 days of Christmas, but instead the dates aren't relevant, and I will not inundate you all with birds. I have a lot of finished work ready to share.
This summer I discovered the green river gorge, an abandoned resort that is sort of but not really maintained now by a small family. Its remote and basically in the foot hills of Mt Rainier. The geology is incredible as is the flora. I'm always looking for a place I could go to a thousand times, and create something new every trip.
This is one of those places.

I've been back twice since because honestly its just an incredible place. Allie Summers was in town, and we wanted to shoot nudes in nature, so we drove down to the gorge, and shot until sunset. The light in almost any gorge is beautiful. High walls on either side provides soft subtractive light, and what direct sun does make its way through is so beautifully directional that it is easy to work with.
It was a magical afternoon, and I look forward to many more down along the Green River.
