Rant and Freshie Juice for Temperance
🕑 Added 2017-09-09 20:59:00 +0000 UTC I've been working like crazy behind the scenes here to get Temperance ready to be published as a book. And its really starting to come together. I think I should I have a preview for you all in a couple weeks of the cover, general lay out, and an idea of how I'm going to do a pre-sale to get the book printed.But in the mean time I want to share one of the last unpublished sets from Temperance with you all. Freshie and Rant came into town right around when I was getting hit with some very fast deadlines for a gig that came through for Showtime. Showtime loved my series Temperance, but wanted black and white close up photos of labia for their tv show The Affair.
It was a weird job, but I wanted to give it a shot. The idea is sort of a boring one really, and there are plenty of photographers always trying to take basically these exact photos, so really the challenge for me was to try and do this, and make it interesting.
So during our shoot for Temperance we also played around with using the mirrors, close up lens filters, and lighting to shoot for the showtime assignment as well just to see what we could do. In the end we actually created some work that I felt proud of, but the censors at showtime ended up rejecting all of these for being to graphic...even though they were exactly what they requested.
