Bae for The Jungle
🕑 Added 2015-02-11 01:31:29 +0000 UTCI've been traveling to Rio Grande National Forest since my very first road trip in 2009. Vaunt and I have shot there a little bit, but this time I had the opportunity to work with Bae Suicide. We shot in incredibly cold weather as the sun was setting high up in the mountains.
Southern Colorado is really a special place, and I was so happy that Bae was able to make the drive down from Denver to make these photos happen. To make these I focused on using the sun as back lighting and the diffused light coming in through the trees that had lost their leaves already as the main light. The 85mm F1.4 Sigma made a fantastic out of focus element from the tree branches to the light flaring into the lens.
I hope you all enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them

Beautiful subject in a very nice location. Your use of lighting in these really has a very unique look. Such a fan of your work.

I love the feel of warm breath and icy air - capture in a photograph - well done ! Tactile and emotion generating ?
