Nicole Vaunt PNW for Into The Wild and 2015 Calendar
🕑 Added 2015-01-10 00:52:18 +0000 UTC Oregon has been one of my favorite states in the country for a long time. Every trip there I find a new place, a new location that I'd never heard of that I need to see. Thors Well, Cape Kiwanda, Silver Falls, Abiqua Falls, The Columbia River Gulch, Crater Lake, and so on. Vaunt and I decided that for 2015 we wanted to do a calendar doing our favorite thing, nudes outdoors, to celebrate this gorgeous state.So I picked her up in Seattle after having spent a month apart, and we traveled up and down Oregon, the interior and coastal regions creating wherever we could. In one week we shot at Abiqua Falls, Cape Kiwanda, Thors Well, and Brookings. These photos are the result.
We shot mostly in the mornings and around sunset. scouting locations during mid-day, so that we knew the shots we wanted to get during the golden hours. Abiqua proved to be an especially difficult spot, we drove all the way from Brookings on the California boarder to Abiqua over the course of a day by the time we hiked to the bottom of the falls, it was already nearly dark, so we decided to get a hotel, and come back the next morning, so that we could spend as much time as we possible.
As planned we woke up before sunrise, drove down to abiqua, and were able to spend a magical two hours shooting alone at the bottom of the falls. Only on our way back to the car did we finally pass another hiker out on the trail.

The calendar is simply stunning. I am proud to display it on my wall and will have to find something to do with the photos after the year is over. Fortunately I still have 11 more months of these gorgeous photos. Vaunt signed it for me as well which makes it just a little more special.
