Sorry guys but I can't stand this movie. The only things I do like about it are the design of the alien, it was different then what we usually see, they were cute and I did like his scenes with Chicken Little and also the Adam West joke at the end, that was genuinely funny but other then that I don't care for it at all. The way this whole town, including his own father treats this poor kid makes it pretty insufferable to watch for me. And his dad never really grows as a parent, he reminds me of Norman's dad in ParaNorman but far worse. And I thought the casting choices were also bad, there's usually nothing wrong with Zack Braff but he sounds nothing like a child and it's just distracting. Same with Joan Cusake and that's a lot for me to say because I love Joan Cusake, she's always great and she's fantastic as Jessie from Toy Story but again she sounds nothing like a child here. If your going to have adults voicing characters that are meant to be children, make sure they sound like it. This was Disney's first fully CGI film without Pixar's involvement and to me it shows, it's not very good animation, aside from the alien stuff. I'm glad you guys liked it but it's not for me, lol.
