When will version 0.23 be released? news
🕑 Added 2024-10-20 12:11:05 +0000 UTC
And so, we can say that we have reached the finish line in the development of update 0.23. We have all the animations of the new scenes ready, it remains only to animate the scenes from the old updates that you voted for (but more on that later). Almost all the emotions of the character sprites have been added and I think we will finish with them by the end of the week, after which it will only be necessary to refine the emotions in the scenes themselves. Also, more than half of the program part has been done, the remaining part may take a maximum of a week.
At this rate, we could say that the release will take place on October 31st on All Saints' Day and we even adapted part of the plot for this holiday, although we usually do not, BUT! There is still a testing phase of the game ahead, besides, we haven't finished translating the update into other languages yet. Therefore, as we wrote earlier, although we try to finish everything by the end of the month, we do not promise anything, because unforeseen difficulties may always arise.
Now let's talk a little bit about the voting results for which of the old scenes you would like to see animated. This time, the voting was for two scenes at once, as deadlines are tight. We counted the votes from all the venues and got this top 3 scenes:
3rd place. Scene No. 4 with Cedric and Mavis (119 voices)
2nd place. Scene No.3 with Daniel and Teresa Cook (131 voices)
1st place. Scene No. 5 with Cedric and Irma (179 votes)
Thus, scenes No. 3 and No. 5 went to animation. Also, Scene No. 6 took the 4th place, and scene No. 7 took the 5th place, so they will definitely get to the next list for voting.
Perhaps that's all the news for today. Now the work is going on quite tightly, but even if we suddenly do not have time by the end of the month, we hope this will not spoil your impression of the new update. In any case, it will be released very soon!
Well, have a good weekend, everyone!
