can't wait for HotD. The instinct for all of us I think was to immediately compare it to the heights GoT reached which is pretty unfair for a show in its first season, but the quality is definitely GoT-esque in terms of writing, acting, characters.

I just want to say that for season 1 of HOTD to be prepared for time jumps as season 1 covers a time period of about 25 years as a prelude to the main part of the story. Going forward the show will have closer to regular GOT pacing. Also be prepared for some actors and actresses to be aged up. It would almost be wise to view season one as 2 mini seasons contained within one.
