Yeah the majority of past DBZ movies are non-cannon. How Future Trunks obtained the sword was never explained. I was just referencing the DBZ abridged Tapion reference.

It’s almost impossible for future trunks sword and the sword kid trunks gets from tapion to be the same sword. Most likely, they are different sword they got from different situations.

The story of Tapion and Trunks' sword is in the DBZ movie Wrath of the Dragon. Cool movie but no Abridged version. It's one of the last DBZ movies and takes place around the end of Buu saga/Beginning of Super time.

Aimin, it’s interesting how you picked up on the seriousness of the Gohan death scene. Many people including myself consider DBZA to be an alternative dub of DBZ, and not just a parody! You will see it as you continue to watch, that the serious moments are always serious in DBZA.

The time travel is like in Avengers End Game, you can't fix the future by changing the past, you can only create another future which makes a lot more sense if you ask me. Because then when would the future be fixed? When the androids "die" in the past? When trunks leaves for the past? When Bulma finishes the time machine? When gets the idea for a time machine....? And we can go back infinitely because there's a a paradox: The dystopian future wouldn't even exist in the first place if it was the cause of its own erasure.
