I recommend you play the Xenoverse games since they take a some content from Heroes like Fu, time patroller, and his parents Towa and Mira canteen recommend the Heroes games since all of them are only in Japan with only SDBH being the only game coming to the West, unfortunately for some reason people it in the West.

Yeah this episode is definitely confusing for most people. They basically remade the ending of the manga and game exclusive Dark King mechikabura saga and added fus backstory for the anime. It's really confusing because the DB Heroes Anime, Game and Manga all are different continuities with different outcomes to the sagas.
