Storytelling Social - Explain Problems
🕑 Added 2020-06-29 15:48:26 +0000 UTCI'm not sure what compelled me to make this, but while working on something else I got the idea to create a friendly interaction that changes based on a variety of moods. The idea behind it was to create a more interesting response to "Ask what happened" or another way your sim can express their bad day with friends and family.
The Main Interaction is called πExplain Problems under the Friendly Social Pie Menu, however, it changes text based on the following moods:
- Angry - Rant About Problems
- Bored - Reluctantly Talk About Problems
- Confident - Boldly Discuss Problems
- Embarrassed - Nervously Explain Problems
- Energized - Rush Through Problems
- Flirty - Confess Romantic Problems
- Focused - Problem Solve with {Target Sim's Name Here}
- Happy - Discuss Problems
- Inspired - Brainstorm Problems with {Target Sim's Name Here}
- Playful - Joke About Problems
- Sad - Cry About Problems
- Dazed - Ramble About Problems
- Tense - Vent About Problems
- Uncomfortable - Confide About Problems
The Interaction is set to Autonomous and works with ages Child to Elder. I purposely left it vague, except for when flirty so the player/user can decide what problems their sim or other sims in their world are experiencing. That way it isn't predetermined for you making it much easier to create a story. That is also why I left autonomy turned on for it as well. Who does your sim trust enough to reveal their hardships to?

Thanks, I had this random thought and just ran with it. I wasn't even sure if I was going to release it but It turned out really neat so I said, why not.

No problem. I live for more options for storytelling. Guess that's the creative writer in me. I'd like to do more like this.

Thank you for sharing this mod!!! I love that itβs autonomous and varies based on mood. I think it will really open up storytelling and gameplay. Also re: the PSA: Iβm not sure whatβs happened but Iβm sending you love, warmth, strength and healing β€οΈ
