Mutual Ends
🕑 Added 2021-06-07 04:10:43 +0000 UTCEver wanted a friendly way to end a relationship? Tired of every relationship ending in Doom & Gloom? Realistically, not every Romance ends in Ruin.
What You Get:
- [Friendly] Mutual Break Up - Acts like Ask To be Just Friends but requires your Sim to have a Boyfriend or Girlfriend, or be Engaged. You will receive a Notification that the Sims in question have decided to Mutually Break Up and receive matching RelBit. Sims will receive edited Ea BreakUp Moodlets that read appropriately. This will also reset the Romance bar back to 0.
- [Friendly] Separate - Acts like Ask To be Just Friends but requires you Sim to be Married. You will receive a Notification that the Sims in question have decided to Mutually Separate and receive matching RelBit. Sims will receive edited Ea Divorce Moodlets that read appropriately. This will also reset the Romance bar back to 0.
- Both Interactions are Non-Autonomous. So you will need to select them manually.
Known Issues: Mutually Breaking Up while Engaged does not Add the RelBit Mutually Broken Up. This only causes issues for those who use my [NSFW] Love Bites who want to Break Devotion.

Update:
- June 7, 2021: Edited and Added custom Mutually Broken Up Relbit for Mutual Break Up.
- July 25, 2021: "Mutually Broken Up" & "Separated" will now be removed properly when Sims decide to get back together by Asking to be Boy/Girlfriend.
- August 22, 2021: Redid the Moodlets from Mutually Breaking Up & Separating; Including Moodlets for Noncommittal Sims.

I'd never seen it either, I assumed it came with the fiance update. That would be awesome, I left it in my game anyway because it wasn't game breaking and I didn't want to not have this mod. Thank you!

Hmm ok. I've never seen the broken engagement moodlet. I have the mod set to look for engaged, divorced, significant other... I can look into adding it to be removed.

I love the fact that my sims can still be civil after breaking up with this mod, it just makes sense and it's nice having more options for ending a relationship. Not sure if this has been addressed yet, but when I have this mod in my game, my sims who have the Broken Engagement relbit cannot get back together. They broke up the vanilla way, but later I wanted them to be back in a relationship. They go through the action of asking, but afterward their relationship still says Broken Engagement. I can get it to work by manually removing the BR relbit myself.
