I get what your saying, but it wasn't the power of friendship that would be worse, it was technically a spirit bomb that trunks absorbed + the energy goku and vegata gave him, like when goku absorbed enegy from the others to defat broly in the original movie.

The way vegito finesses him on GOD ik it makes more sense for trunks to get the dub but i wanted vegito to disintegrate that man

Just to clarify, Gogeta does not become Canon until the Broly movie, after Dragon Ball Super. Fusion Reborn, while a fan favorite, is not a Canon movie. Right now they know of the the fusion dance thanks go Gotenks but have not taken the time to learn it. The two times they did fuse, were to become Vegito because Supreme Kai has been nearby to give them the Portara.
