Release Change
🕑 Added 2021-09-02 16:29:49 +0000 UTCI will be changing from an every Friday release to basically a every other week release. This doesn't change the monthly goal of at least 10 animations, just how they will be delivered.
They will be on the second and last Friday of the month. So this month will be the 10th and 24th of September.
The every Friday release was previously great, as it allowed me plenty of time to get the animations completed, and keep everyone supplied with new content every week.
However, as time has went on, the animations are becoming more time demanding, with a departure from just solo type animations, with the addition of the Roleplay animations and more prop intensive animations as a whole.
Add in the fact that creating the animations is just the start, as they have to be converted from a blender file to a S4S file. Then exported and imported into the package, and then XML has to be created to make the animations work. As well as adding sounds and effects.
All this adds hours to the hours already spent making the animation. Then it still needs to be tested, and if something's not right, it has to be fixed and then all the extra steps repeated.
When it's all good to go, I'm still not done, as I have to set up a shot for the preview, record it, and then edit/convert it into a preview Gif. Then make sure I have all the info correct for the animations, props/CC and links etc.
Please don't take this as complaining, I just wanted explain my stance for this change.
It's not a great feeling to miss a release, or be stressing out because things aren't goin to plan, and the current schedule doesn't have the wiggle room needed to recover from these set backs.
I'll see you on the 10th with the first batch of animations for the month.
