After a year making Monthly Fanart Polls with you, I think it's time for a change. I've been thinking about this for a while, and I've come up with a solution. But first, let me explain.
There are a couple issues I found with the current system:
- We have to wait for suggestions and votes. This takes a lot of time, so until the second half of the month I can't start working on the reward.
- Popular characters always win. It's usually very clear who will be the winner even before starting the poll, so voting is not exciting, and sometimes, it feels pointless.
Because of this, Polls will be replaced by Suggestions. These are the benefits I find:
- Tier 2 and 3 patrons will still be able to suggest characters when the month starts.
- We won't be running a poll, but you can still Like suggestions that you prefer.
- Since day one I will start working on suggestions based on Likes and personal preferences.
- It will let me work faster and more excited.
- This makes possible to take more than one character each month.
- Also, less popular characters get a higher chance to be chosen. I can be surprised by a character I didn't know about, or a specific idea you suggest can win my heart.
And that's all. This is a big change, but I really think it will make a huge improvement on the rewards I can give you. So please, let me know what you think about it. Any feedback or comment will be very welcome!
