Yondu tensed up immediately, shifting restlessly, his unease growing.
Deep down, he felt an overwhelming fear—the fear of losing Quill.
Even though the kid never listened to him, constantly disobeyed his orders, Yondu had always treated him as family.
"Where is Peter? He can’t be here. He needs to leave—now!"
Yondu forced himself up despite his injuries, heading straight for the door.
Alan quickly stepped in front of him.
"We’re coming with you. If Ego finds out you’re here, he will do everything in his power to kill you."
The weight of Alan’s words made the others uneasy, but they knew time was of the essence. Without hesitation, they followed Yondu outside.

Meanwhile, Quill wandered aimlessly, lost in thought, struggling to process everything that had happened.
That was when Ego appeared beside him.
His expression was warm and fatherly, eyes filled with affection as he looked at Quill.
"My son, I have searched for you for a very long time. And you are not just an ordinary person—you have inherited my power."
Quill frowned in confusion.
Power? Inheritance?
These words meant nothing to him.
"What do you want from me?" Quill asked warily.
Ego’s gaze softened even further, a look of almost indulgent pride in his eyes.
To him, Quill was special—the most exceptional of all his children.
The only one truly capable of inheriting his power.
And for that reason, Ego would never let him leave.
"My son, I am a Celestial, born at the dawn of the universe itself. I possess the greatest power in the cosmos, and you… you have inherited that power too. Try it for yourself."
Ego stood up, closing his eyes briefly.
With nothing more than a stray thought—the entire planet shifted.
Before Quill’s astonished eyes, the trees parted, the flowers on the ground bent and rearranged themselves, creating a straight, open path as if nature itself obeyed Ego’s will.
Quill was utterly stunned.
Could he… really possess this kind of power?
Seeing his hesitation, Ego gave him an encouraging smile.
"Go ahead. Try it."
Quill clenched his fists, then stepped forward, stretching out both hands toward the sky.
He concentrated, searching for the energy within him.
Behind him, Ego watched intently, guiding him, pushing him.

They stood far in the distance, watching him.
Quill’s outstretched hand froze.
Seeing his sudden hesitation, Ego’s smile faded.
His eyes followed Quill’s gaze—and then he saw him.
Yondu.
That man.
Back on his planet. Again.
Ego’s entire body tensed with rage, but he forced himself to suppress it.
Not in front of Quill.
