This imbalance would ensure that the United States became the most powerful county on Earth—without contest.
Everyone also understood that, given the United States’s usual modus operandi, it would inevitably ignite wars worldwide in the future, aiming to conquer the entire planet.
Rogers clenched his fists tightly. He hadn’t expected things to take this turn.
Although he had fought as a soldier of the United States during the Second World War, his true intention was to stop war, end suffering, and strive for world peace.
He was aware of the darkness within his country’s leadership, but he didn’t expect them to drop all pretense and blatantly lay out their agenda in public today.
What the United States didn’t anticipate was that this moment was being livestreamed globally through the Red Queen’s network.

“All we need to do is provide them with some compensation later, hire some online influencers to steer public opinion, and this whole incident will soon be forgotten.”
The Secretary stood from his chair. “Right now, what matters most is Odin’s stance.”
“As long as he agrees, I’m confident that within five years, the United States will once again be the strongest county in the world.”
Hearing his words, the other Congress members nodded in agreement.
Indeed.
The United States had committed countless dirty deeds over the years, yet they’d never lacked for defenders.

The Secretary of State once again looked toward the rooftop of Stark Tower.
“If we succeed this time, no one on Earth will dare defy us openly ever again.”
“Our great, free, and democratic United States will reign as the strongest nation on this planet!”
The other Congress members watched nervously, their eyes fixed on the unfolding situation.
David’s eyes glimmered with a peculiar light, as if the negotiations had already succeeded.
On screen, Odin smiled and replied, “Of course, no problem. All of this was caused by my son.”
“As compensation to the United States, it’s only fitting.”
Hearing this, Congress erupted in cheers.
Success!
Odin had agreed!
David’s face lit up with joy as he said, “Thank you so much, great King Odin.”
“On behalf of everyone in the United States, I thank you.”
David’s demeanor was as sincere as could be, much like a dog that had just been handed a bone by its master.
But just as David was basking in his triumph, Odin’s expression turned troubled.
“However…”
“I am not the one who has the final say. It seems your Emperor is not entirely satisfied with my terms.”
With that, Odin deftly shifted the issue to Alan.
Gwen and Tony both frowned, casting disdainful looks at Odin.
At this moment, his friendly and benevolent façade appeared utterly hypocritical and loathsome to them.
Hearing Odin’s words, David furrowed his brow.
Was the Emperor dissatisfied with Odin’s terms?
No.

David straightened his attire, trying to exude authority as he turned and walked toward Alan.

“I order you to cease this pointless battle immediately. Do not cause further unnecessary casualties.”
“Otherwise, you will be branded the public enemy of the entire United States!”
David’s demeanor was akin to a superior reprimanding a subordinate.
Gwen, seething with anger, was about to teach him a lesson when Alan raised a hand to stop her.
“You’re ordering me?”
David nodded.
“The Avengers are nothing more than subordinates of Nick Fury.”
“And I, in a way, am Nick Fury’s superior.”
“Do I not have the authority to give you orders?”
“Or are you planning to disobey me?”
As he spoke, David turned to Rogers.
“Captain, it seems your method of disciplining subordinates leaves much to be desired.”
Rogers frowned.
He had no such authority to “discipline” the Emperor.
Clearly, this diplomat had been hastily dispatched and hadn’t taken the time to properly familiarize himself with the Avengers.
As a result, he naively assumed that the Avengers were a subordinate organization of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Smack!
Before David could fully turn back, Alan slapped him across the face, sending him flying. Several of his teeth were knocked loose and scattered in midair.
The sudden turn of events left everyone dumbfounded.
Alan’s slap didn’t just strike David—it struck at the face of the United States itself.
Alan then grabbed David by the collar with one hand.
David, dazed and disoriented, had no idea what had just happened.
“Listen closely. How you United States folks negotiate with Odin is your business!”
“But right now, it’s my time to talk to him. Don’t think that any random nobody can strut in and make demands in front of me.”
“Now get lost!”
With a casual toss, Alan sent David flying toward the jet, where he crashed heavily into its hull, embedding himself into the metal.
Even if he survived, he was likely crippled.
“Odin, put away your schemes.”
“This is your final chance: either restore New York to its original state and bring back the people Loki killed…”
“Or Loki dies.”
As Alan spoke, he drew the Emperor Sword and pointed it at Loki’s neck.
Odin’s face darkened, his expression turning increasingly grim...
