“So tell me, how do you plan to settle this?”
Thor, seeing Alan show no respect to Odin, immediately scolded him:
“Emperor, mind your tone when speaking to my father!”
“My father is the ruler of the Nine Realms, and Earth is under his jurisdiction.”
“He is the God-King of the Nine Realms, and also the God-King of Earth!”
With Odin by his side, Thor was brimming with confidence.
Alan didn’t even glance at Thor. He raised Mjolnir in his hand.
With a firm squeeze, the indestructible hammer began to cave in. Thunder and lightning erupted wildly from it.
Thor was stunned.

If the Emperor could so easily destroy Mjolnir, he could just as easily kill Loki at his feet.
At this moment, Odin finally understood that the Emperor wasn’t just incredibly powerful but also highly strategic.
“Loki caused this war, and he was wrong to do so.”
“Asgard will take full responsibility for compensating Earth, and I will personally take Loki back to Asgard for strict punishment.”
“Emperor, does this resolution satisfy you?”
Odin maintained his smile and asked, “Are you content with this?”
This was now a negotiation between the Emperor and Odin.
No one else had the right to intervene.

Just then, Odin’s expression shifted, as if sensing something.
He quickly added, “Of course, in the days to come, Earth and Asgard will remain good friends.”
“As compensation, I will also bring better opportunities for Earth, such as more advanced technology…”
“And more powerful weapons.”
Alan chuckled. “Do you think I care about any of that with my power?”
Odin stroked his beard and smiled back. “You may not care, but others will.”
“Your United States has always prided itself on democracy and freedom. Surely, they wouldn’t just take the word of one man?”
As soon as he finished speaking, the hum of an engine filled the air.
A fighter jet quickly approached, hovering overhead before landing on the helipad atop Stark Tower.
“What are they doing here?”
Tony Stark immediately recognized it as a plane from the US’s Department of State, specially designated for handling emergency diplomatic affairs.
At this moment…
Tony’s eyes narrowed.
Could it be that these people were planning…
Rogers, Black Widow, and Hawkeye exchanged glances.
Black Widow leaned in and softly explained to Rogers who the new arrivals were. After listening, Rogers responded with distaste:

“What are they thinking coming here now?”

And judging by the man’s attire, he seemed to be a high-ranking official from the United States.
Alan smirked. “What are they doing?”

Red Queen, noticing her confusion, explained, “That man is the United States’s Chief Diplomat.”
“He handles international diplomatic affairs on behalf of country.”
“If he’s here personally, it’s likely to establish diplomatic relations with Asgard using this incident as leverage.”
Gwen immediately understood.
“So the United States’s leadership plans to use this situation as a bargaining chip?”
“Exactly!”
The diplomat ignored everyone else and walked straight up to Odin.
With great respect, he extended his hand. “Greetings, Your Majesty Odin, King of Asgard.”
“I am David Smith, the Chief Diplomat of the United States. It’s an honor to welcome you to Earth on behalf of my nation.”
A nation’s diplomat represents its stance, and it was clear that the United States, after witnessing Loki’s power, had chosen to grovel.
David had rushed here while simultaneously attending a video meeting with Congress on the plane.
Especially after hearing Odin’s terms, Congress quickly disregarded the destruction caused by Loki, as well as the countless innocent lives and families he had harmed.
In comparison to the benefits Odin offered, those losses seemed utterly insignificant.
Everyone present immediately grasped the government’s stance after seeing David’s behavior.
At that moment, Rogers and his team couldn’t help but feel like clowns for fighting so desperately just moments ago.
Not only had they almost been killed by a nuclear strike, but now they also had to watch their country grovel before the invaders.
Rogers finally couldn’t contain himself and stepped forward.
“Sir, are you serious about this attitude right now?”

“However, I do have one additional request to add to your generous terms.”
Had it been a different setting, Rogers might have unleashed a flurry of punches on David.
But as a soldier, obedience was ingrained in him to his core.
Odin looked at David and replied with a smile, “Go ahead…”
In Odin’s eyes, the Emperor was likely one of the United States’s superheroes. If he clashed with the country’s leadership, his future in Midgard could be troublesome.
“Since New York was the primary victim of this incident, Congress hopes…”
“That any future advanced technology or innovations from Asgard will first benefit the United States.”
“What do you think of this proposal?”
