Despite the heroes' formidable abilities, the Chitauri's overwhelming numbers were gradually wearing them down.
Odin, unperturbed, responded calmly, “Don’t worry. I’ve already consulted the Seer.”
“The outcome of this battle is clear—Midgard will prevail.”
Heimdall hesitated for a moment before asking, “Your Majesty, do you plan to intervene?”
Odin shook his head. “No, I won’t intervene.”
“This is a matter between my sons. They must resolve it themselves.”
“The path to becoming a king is never smooth. Thor must understand this as well.”
Can Midgard win without Odin’s help? Heimdall found it hard to believe. If Emperor were on Earth, victory would be certain.
But Emperor was still locked in battle with Mephisto.
Even if Emperor emerged victorious, returning to Earth swiftly without the Tesseract would be nearly impossible.
Yet Odin remained composed, as if everything was under his control.
To him, the battle between Emperor and Mephisto paled in comparison to his sons' struggle for the throne.

Somewhere in the cosmos, two streaks of light—one gold and one crimson—clashed violently, as if tearing through the fabric of space.
With each collision, the crimson light was sent reeling backward, only for the golden light to relentlessly pursue it.
“No! This is impossible!”
“I’ve already summoned the full power of Hell. How can I still lose to you?”
Mephisto was seething with frustration. He had assumed his most powerful form, the same form that once defeated Galactus.
Yet now, he was being utterly suppressed by Emperor.
In fact… it seemed like he was better off before transforming.
But there was no time for regret. Alan appeared before him once again, wielding the Emperor Sword in both hands and bringing it down in a vertical slash.
A seemingly effortless strike, yet Mephisto could feel the chilling presence of death.
The Lord of Hell—feeling death's approach.
If word got out, his reputation as a Hell Lord would be ruined across the cosmos.
“Emperor!”
For the first time, Mephisto felt genuine fear.
He desperately summoned all his hellish power, forming a red and blue energy shield in front of him.
The moment the shield materialized, Alan’s sword descended.
Crack!
The shield held for barely a second before it began to fracture.
The sheer force of the strike sent Mephisto hurtling backward, crashing into a desolate, barren star.
Upon impact, the star's surface erupted into a massive crater, sending clouds of dust billowing into the air, obscuring the entire region.
“Ahhh!”
At the center of the crater, Mephisto let out a furious roar.
The sound waves generated a violent storm, dispersing the surrounding dust in an instant.
Frustration.
Utter frustration.
Since Emperor had donned the Ultimate Emperor Armor, Mephisto hadn’t even landed a single blow.
He had been completely overpowered from the start, without any chance to retaliate.
“Emperor!”
Above the desolate star, a beam of golden light descended, landing not far from Mephisto.
Alan stood there, wielding the Aurora Shield in his left hand and the Emperor Sword in his right.
His presence exuded an aura of absolute dominance, as if the entire universe bowed before him.
Even just standing there, Mephisto felt an immense pressure, as if something was forcing him to kneel.
If not for the hellish power sustaining his current form, he might have already collapsed before Emperor.
Alan took a step forward, ready to deliver the final blow to end Mephisto once and for all.
But suddenly, he sensed something.
Turning his head, he gazed into the depths of the universe.
“Hm?”
“Earth…”
“Something’s happened…”
The Emperor Armor, representing the cosmic will of the universe, allowed him to sense the life force and presence of planets across the cosmos.
Even in this Marvel universe, the same rules apply.
Just now, Alan clearly sensed it—the Earth had been breached, a passageway forcibly opened.
It didn't take long for him to realize that during his brief absence, the Chitauri army had invaded Earth.
Though his time away wasn't extensive, time in the universe flows differently, and isn’t uniform.
Mephisto, noticing Alan’s momentary distraction, seemed to have a realization of his own.
“So, you’ve sensed it too—something has happened to Earth.”
At their level of power, having such perceptive abilities was hardly surprising.
Mephisto had also sensed Earth’s predicament and knew exactly who was behind it: Thanos.
Right now, it was Thanos' Chitauri army invading Earth—the purple madman intent on bringing devastation to the universe.
But Mephisto believed Alan was still in the dark.
A cunning smile crept across his face, as if he had found Alan’s weakness. “Emperor, what will you do now?”
“Will you stay here and continue fighting me, or will you rush back to Earth?”
“But let me kindly remind you—Earth is on the brink of destruction.”
Throughout humanity’s existence, Mephisto had observed and manipulated humans countless times.
He knew well how easily humans were swayed by their emotions.
Exploiting emotional vulnerability had always been his method for stealing souls.
Mephisto was convinced that if he could disturb Emperor's mind, his opportunity to win would arise.
“There is currently a massive Chitauri army invading Earth,” he continued.
“If you delay even a moment, Earth might fall.”
“The people you care about could die in the war… or worse, become enslaved.”
As he spoke, Mephisto advanced toward Alan.
When the distance between them closed, Mephisto suddenly roared, “War is cruel!”
At the same time, he unleashed twin beams of energy—one cold, one scorching—rushing straight toward Alan.
“Die, Emperor!”
Alan smirked coldly. His left hand raised the Aurora Shield, which radiated a brilliant golden light, effortlessly blocking the sneak attack.
In the same motion, the Emperor Sword found an opening between the two energy beams and unleashed a powerful golden slash.
Mephisto, caught off guard, couldn’t dodge in time and was instantly cleaved in two.
“No…!”
With a cry of unwillingness, Mephisto’s body was torn into countless fragments by the overwhelming force.
Yet, within moments, his body reassembled itself.
Panting heavily, cold sweat dripping from his forehead, Mephisto glanced at Alan in fear.
For a brief moment, he had truly believed he was going to die.
Still shaken, he spoke again, “Emperor, do you not care about the lives of those on Earth?”
“Every second you delay means more lives lost.”
Alan chuckled softly. “Actually, Mephisto, I have a better idea…”
“Hm?”
A sudden sense of foreboding gripped Mephisto’s heart.
Before his eyes, Alan pressed a hand to his belt, summoning five dharmas.
Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth…
Each dharma glowed with a distinct color and bore a unique symbol.
“What… What are you planning?”
Mephisto could feel an immense, terrifying power emanating from the dharmas, making his heart race in panic.
Alan smiled. “I’m going to finish you off first… then return to Earth to deal with the Chitauri.”
“Five Shadows' Deadly Strike!”
The five dharmas shot forward.
For a moment, Mephisto thought his vision was playing tricks on him—Alan seemed to split into five identical figures.
Each Emperor performed a different technique before the dharmas.
Before Mephisto could react, he felt countless slashes raining down on his body.
The immense force tore him apart repeatedly, but this time, he couldn’t separate or escape to lessen the damage.
It was as if the power had sealed him in place, preventing any escape.
“Stop…!”
“What kind of power is this…?”
“No, you can’t kill me…!”
