[Genshin Impact] Chapter 299: Fairy Tale Wonderland
🕑 Added 2024-10-27 17:08:43 +0000 UTCLocation: Mondstadt, Stormterror’s Lair.
Nolan and Shenhe had originally planned to use “Interstellar Travel” to return home, only to realize that Lumine, Fischl, and Paimon were still at Stormterror’s Lair and hadn’t returned yet.
The reason was simple: with nobody at home, walking back only to return tomorrow felt like a waste of time. So, they decided to camp here.
After all, Stormterror’s Lair was quite a distance from Mondstadt City.
Fortunately, they had already sent Oz to locate a teleport waypoint nearby, so they should have a faster route soon. But for tonight, they would have to make do with camping out.
Nolan didn’t mind; eating in the open and sleeping under the stars was just part of an adventurer’s life.
So, he and Shenhe teleported to Stormterror’s Lair, appearing beside Lumine and the others.
“Quick, you foolish attendant! Use your Hydro abilities to help us bathe. We’re all sticky from a day of adventuring!” Fischl exclaimed, grabbing Nolan’s hand before he could even greet them.
Her skin felt sticky to the touch.
Alright, if her royal highness the Prinzessin had such a request, naturally, he would oblige.
“Where should we do this?” Nolan glanced around and noticed they were in a sizable tent. A thick, soft mattress was spread on the ground, big enough to fit two, maybe three people if they squeezed.
“Let’s just do it here,” Lumine suggested after a thought. “We’ll roll up the mattress so it doesn’t get soaked.”
The rivers in Stormterror’s Lair were too contaminated with monster blood from defeated creatures, making them unsuitable for use.
So, they would have to settle for a makeshift bath inside the tent and air it out with Anemo afterward.
Quickly, they packed up everything inside the tent and stored it in the Visions, leaving only Nolan, Lumine, and Fischl inside.
“Alright, then.”
The bathing didn’t take long. As Nolan looked at the two bare figures before him, he was tempted to make a playful move.
But it seemed they had anticipated this.
Just as Lumine raised her hands to wash her hair with soap, leaving her defenseless, he maintained the Hydro flow like a gentle rain and suddenly took hold of her right foot, lifting it so her knee rested on his shoulder.
Her pale legs stretched into a split, forming a graceful line.
“Ah!” Lumine yelped, startled, as she tried to move away. But with only one foot on the ground and Nolan’s arm around her waist, escape was futile!
Just as Nolan was about to take things a step further…
Fischl rolled her eyes. As expected, this guy was just as mischievous as ever!
It was one thing at home, but out here? And with Shenhe and Paimon just outside—what if they overheard something odd?
With no other choice, Fischl prepared to give him a lesson. Her palm sparked with Electro energy as she thought, Tonight, this foolish attendant will learn the true dignity of the Prinzessin!
“Gah!”
Caught off guard, Nolan found himself getting his face squished from both sides by their feet.
Curse it! I won’t let this slide—one day, I’ll get even for this! he thought.
Late at Night
Since they had only brought one tent, everyone had to squeeze in. Nolan, however, was assigned to keep watch.
He looked up at the glittering starlit sky, lost in thought.
Nolan still had a considerable amount of Adventure EXP unused, so he decided to level up during this downtime.
Adventure EXP: -161,000
After spending most of his 200,000 points, a warm energy surged within him, boosting his level from 80 to 82.

The night passed, and the next few days were spent exploring Stormterror’s Lair. Their main goals were to search for clues about the Abyss Order and possibly find a lead on Lumine’s brother.
While exploring, they also took on some extra commissions to earn more Mora.
Notably, the next morning, Oz located a teleport waypoint on a broken bridge. Alongside it was an Ice Abyss Mage.
The team managed to capture the Ice Abyss Mage, trying to pry any information about the Abyss Order from it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a particularly powerful mage, and it didn’t reveal much, but it did describe their “Prince’s” appearance in great detail.
This description confirmed their suspicions—the “Prince” was indeed Lumine’s brother, Aether! He was even behind the plan to capture and alter Dvalin into a biological weapon.
Upon hearing this, Lumine found herself briefly overwhelmed. During their separation, it seemed her brother had changed in ways she couldn’t understand. If he were the same person she remembered, he would never do something so destructive.
But that confusion quickly turned to determination. Now, more than ever, she was driven to find her brother and learn the truth.
In the following weeks, after every adventure, Lumine would often sex with Nolan.
After all, to face the Abyss Order, she needed greater strength. Training alone would only bring her up a level or two every few weeks at best, but with Nolan’s help, her level rose to 60 in just two weeks.
Nolan’s own higher power allowed him to channel energy more effectively into her, although her leveling slowed as her strength caught up with his, requiring more frequent contact to advance.
Fischl also reached level 51 during this period, making her one of the top adventurers, able to handle most dangers on her own.
Nolan didn’t spend every day exploring Stormterror’s Lair. With only 300 Affection points left for Sucrose before maxing out her bond—and unlocking her Constellation/Archon Seat skill—he made sure to visit her often.
After delivering some powerful demonic essence and spending a few days assisting her in the lab, he easily reached max affinity with her.
This max affinity activated a unique Archon Seat skill for him from Sucrose:
