Seeing the Cryo Whopperflower appear before him, Nolan instinctively activated his Golden Eye of Judgement to assess its strength and weaknesses.
And what he saw was astonishing.
The Cryo Whopperflower’s level had unexpectedly jumped from 32, increasing by two levels, reaching level 34!
"Hiss!"
That accidental "healing ointment" turned out to be this powerful? It even promoted the growth of mimic-type plant monsters!
"It's attacking!" Sucrose suddenly cried out in surprise.
Perhaps due to its rapid growth, the Cryo Whopperflower couldn’t control its overflowing elemental energy. It lashed its two tendrils toward Sucrose in an attack.
It wasn’t using any Cryo abilities, maybe because it was worried about damaging the "healing ointment" in Sucrose’s hands?
Nolan was puzzled, but his reaction wasn’t slow.
He extended a few transparent threads, grabbing hold of the Whopperflower's tendrils.
Before the Whopperflower could even respond, more threads emerged from the surrounding air, effortlessly wrapping it up like a bundled zongzi (sticky rice dumpling).
This monster, which used to pose a threat to him, could now be easily handled without any difficulty.
"Its strength increased significantly just now. It’s probably because of your ‘healing ointment,’” Nolan said, sharing his observation.
"Is that really the case?" Sucrose was visibly surprised.
But when she recalled that the "healing ointment" contained an excessive amount of botanical essence, refined using bio-alchemy, it didn’t seem entirely impossible.
"Hmm, it appears the side effect of this ‘ointment’ is that it also works on monsters," Sucrose said thoughtfully.
If that were true, it would be hard to promote the ointment widely since the wilderness is full of plant-type monsters.
“If there was a way to control monsters, it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad side effect,” Nolan suggested after thinking for a moment.
Unfortunately, across the entire Teyvat continent, aside from the Abyss Order, there had been no reports of anyone controlling monsters.
Otherwise, with this "healing ointment," they could train a whole army of powerful plant-based monsters to fight against the Abyss Order instead of soldiers. That would be quite something.
After all, the Abyss Order had always been a major threat to humanity.
“If we could use bio-alchemy, it might not be entirely impossible,” Sucrose said, considering the possibility.
As a professional, Sucrose had studied many monsters and knew that most attacked humans on sight due to their natural instincts.
However, just as dogs and cats could be domesticated by humans, monsters might also be tamed if the right methods were found.
For example, modifying their genes to make them more docile.
Although that would be an extremely difficult task, it was at least a research direction.
Sucrose thought to herself, somewhat excited. Perhaps she could consult Master Albedo when he had some free time.
She could already imagine how much of a positive impact it would have on Mondstadt if they could achieve this.
“I see. In any case, I’ll help you however I can,” Nolan said with a smile.
He didn’t know much about biology, but he vaguely recalled hearing about a scholar in Sumeru who had developed a device called the "Wisdom Orb," which could calm aggressive Fungi.
Maybe that could be applied to other monsters as well.
In the future, if the opportunity arises, he could get his hands on it and let Sucrose study it.
"Then, please bring me more rare biological materials for research," Sucrose said, nodding slightly, her light green ears twitching gently. Since they had become a couple, she was no longer as reserved when making requests.
"Haha, of course!" Nolan pulled Sucrose closer, gently brushing her pale forehead with his lips.
"So, what’s the next experiment?" he asked.
"There’s still a lot to test, like how long the effects last and comparisons between different plants."
Sucrose’s face flushed as she glanced away.

Nolan spent the entire afternoon with Sucrose, conducting experiments throughout Springvale.
By the time they returned to Mondstadt, it was already dusk.
"We collected a lot of data today. I need to organize it in the lab, so I’ll head back now," Sucrose said at the city gate, adjusting her round, half-rim glasses with a gentle push of her fingers.
"There’s no rush. Why not come to my place first? You can also meet Lumine and the others. If you need help in the future, you can rely on them," Nolan said with a smile.
"Ah, but..." Sucrose wasn’t quite prepared for that yet.
"Don’t worry, they’ll like you," Nolan reassured her, holding her hand to calm her worries.
"Well... okay," Sucrose hesitated for a moment but eventually agreed.
"Alright, I’ll let them know first."
To save time walking, Nolan mentally reached out to Lumine, confirming that she and the others had already returned home.
With that, Nolan and Sucrose teleported to his home.
The scene shifted.
In what felt like a seamless transition, they moved from the city walls under the sunset to the candlelit interior of the hall.
They were greeted by Lumine and Fischl, both standing with their hands on their hips, gazing at Nolan with a look of disdain and irritation.
They, too, had "Waymark" and could guess what was going on when Sucrose joined. Clearly, this scoundrel had successfully won over Sucrose!
What a despicable guy!
"You guys chat, I’ll handle dinner tonight!" Nolan, not one to brazenly ignore the awkward stares, felt somewhat embarrassed and quickly found an excuse to slip away.
"Hmph, as expected of you, you big, philandering radish!"
Paimon, having grown accustomed to Nolan’s flirtatious ways, couldn’t even muster the energy to complain anymore.
It was easy to imagine there would only be more of this in the future.
After a full day of shopping, Shenhe, who was meditating on the couch to rest, suddenly sensed a new presence in the house. Curious, she opened her eyes.
She saw a young girl with light green hair, blushing slightly and looking a bit uneasy.
Does she also know spatial transference techniques, just like Lumine?
Shenhe understood that spatial transfer was a rare and difficult skill, even among adeptis, one she hadn’t yet mastered.
And yet, now it seemed like many of her friends had easily grasped it.
If it were just one person, it could be attributed to talent, but with so many people, like this shy girl with an unremarkable aura, how did she master such an advanced technique? Was it because of Nolan?
Shenhe glanced at Nolan, who was walking towards the kitchen. She had been studying apdetus arts since childhood and was used to consulting her master when faced with anything she didn’t understand.
Now, with a question in mind, she got off the sofa, slipped back into her shoes, and followed Nolan to ask him about it.
