[Superman] Chapter 132: Appearing One After Another
🕑 Added 2024-05-12 10:23:52 +0000 UTC"Yes, I am Superman. Who are you? And why have you intruded into my universe?"
Peter asked slowly, looking at the figure before him, which seemed somewhat familiar.
"How is this possible? Why am I here?"
In fact, at this moment, Magneto felt equally shocked and puzzled. He should have returned to his own universe.
"Wait, could it be that damned guy deceived me?"
In an instant, Magneto thought of the mysterious figure who had gathered them together.
He had promised to send the victor back, but everything turned out to be a deception, as he had ended up in a universe that wasn't his own.
"Fuck it! Curse that guy, never let me see you again!"
With these thoughts, Magneto's heart filled with anger. Being deceived and sent to a strange universe made him furious.
In his anger, the immense power within him erupted uncontrollably.
In an instant, everything around him felt the impact of his terrifying power, causing distortions in countless things.
Boom!
Rumble!!
The entire earth began to shake violently. Below the ground, it seemed as if something was about to burst forth.
The whole earth, with him at its center, cracked open into huge fissures resembling spider webs in an area of hundreds of meters in diameter.
These cracks continued to spread outward.
Meanwhile, Magneto's body, unconsciously, began to float into the air.
"If you don't calm down, I don't mind using my fists to make you!"
Peter's voice, cold and determined, cut through Magneto's rage.
"Huh?"
Peter's words instantly brought Magneto back to his senses from his rage.
Then, seeing the situation around him caused by himself, he slowly controlled his power and let everything return to calm.
Even the ground, which was originally covered with cracks, all came back together.
It couldn't be said that everything was restored as it was, but it hadn't caused irreparable damage after all.
"No, I can't be trapped here, I must find a way to return to my original universe as soon as possible."
However, as everything was restored, Magneto swiftly flew towards the distance. At this moment, he naturally didn't want to be stranded in this unfamiliar universe.
He wanted to find a way to return to his original universe as soon as possible.
However, just as Magneto was about to leave, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him as if teleporting.
Magneto focused his gaze and recognized the figure as Peter, who had just appeared.
"I don't have time to waste on you. If you know what's good for you, step aside, or else don't blame me..."
Magneto was never a good person; on the contrary, the number of people who died by his hands was likely not just in the thousands but possibly even more.
Of course, Magneto wasn't indiscriminate like a butcher; everyone he killed was for the sake of his grand plan to secure a place for mutants on Earth.
And now, faced with the person standing in his way, even if this guy was said to be Superman from the comics, Magneto wouldn't hesitate.
"You can try."
Peter's gaze also met Magneto's, calm but imposing.
The next moment, before Magneto could launch an attack, an incredibly terrifying aura erupted from Peter's body.
The violent aura directly enveloped Magneto's body, instantly causing his expression to change dramatically.
"This... is impossible!"
At this moment, Magneto felt such a terrifying aura for the first time, as if the entire universe would instantly collapse under this terrifying pressure.
It wasn't an exaggeration to say that this aura even surpassed that of the mysterious figure who had sent him to this unfamiliar universe.
"How could there be such a powerful existence in this universe!"
Feeling the incredibly terrifying aura shrouding his entire body, Magneto, who could only barely withstand it even when exerting all his strength, wore an incredulous expression on his face.
"Hmph, there is nothing impossible!"
With a cold snort from Peter, Magneto's entire body plummeted from the void towards the ground.
Boom!
The entire earth seemed to have been struck by a meteorite, instantly creating a huge crater upon impact.
In the depths of the crater, Magneto knelt on one knee, his expression extremely ferocious as he tried to stand up against Peter's aura.
Boom!
However, with another burst of terrifying force, massive cracks spread rapidly in all directions from the center, leaving Magneto completely pinned to the ground, unable to move a muscle.
"Now, can we have a proper conversation? Who are you? And why did you intrude into my universe?"
Landing gently on the ground, Peter gradually reined in his power, then asked calmly.
......
Several tens of minutes later, inside a meeting room aboard the space station.
Peter faced Magneto.
At this moment, the arrogance on Magneto's face had long disappeared.
As the saying goes, only when one's fist is bigger than the other's can they qualify for a peaceful dialogue.
In the end, Magneto was forcibly subdued by Peter's strong methods.
"I am Erik Lehnsherr, but others call me Magneto."
"In fact, I had no intention of intruding into your universe. I was deceived."
"If possible, I would also like to return to my original universe as soon as possible."
He revealed his identity and why he came to this universe.
"Indeed, it's Magneto!"
"I never thought that in a universe without mutants, two Magneto's from different timelines would appear at the same time."
Listening to Magneto's self-introduction, Peter also confirmed this guy's identity completely, and his guess was correct.
After all, although the guy in front of him was between the old and young Magneto in age, his appearance was not entirely the same as the Magneto Peter was familiar with, but there were some similarities.
However, previously, he couldn't be completely sure. After all, the strength of this Magneto seemed to be countless times stronger than the Magneto he knew.
It might even be at the level of a universal entity, capable of destroying a planet with just a wave of his hand.
"Are you saying that a mysterious person gathered many powerful individuals from different universes in a special universe called the Battle Realm and made you fight each other, selecting the winners?"
"And then, as a reward, they were sent back to their own universe, but in fact, they were sent to my universe?"
"And the losers, along with their universes, would be completely destroyed?"
"Are you sure you're not deceiving me?"
If it weren't for Magneto's sincere words and the mysterious person he mentioned, it might have been the guy he encountered not long ago, who intruded into his universe and was forcibly expelled by him.
Peter might ask Magneto, "Do you believe that I am the Creator God OAA of the Marvel Universe?"
"I swear, everything I said is true!"
Magneto said with a truly sincere expression.
"If possible, I hope you can help me return to my original universe. I would be grateful..."
Then, looking at Peter lost in thought, Magneto couldn't help but speak again, full of anticipation.
"Let's talk about that later. Is the mysterious person you mentioned brewing some terrible plan?"
Peter didn't directly agree to Magneto's request but pondered whether the mysterious person who created the Battle Realm was planning some major event.
After all, in the comics Peter knew, there was indeed a special universe called the Battle Realm.
However, the guy who created the Battle Realm in the comics seemed to be a cosmic being/Transcended.
"Could it be that the mysterious person is a cosmic being?"
"It's impossible. If it were a cosmic being, how could they be so easily defeated by me!"
However, Peter instantly dismissed his own speculation. The power of a Transcended being couldn't be as weak as the guy he encountered last time.
"Huh? Another one?"
Unbeknownst to him, more than an hour had passed since Magneto arrived.
Suddenly, Peter felt once again that his universe was undergoing a tremendous transformation.
At the same time, he felt the presence of a figure appearing once again in his universe...
......
On another secluded street in New York City.
However, it wasn't exactly the same location where Magneto had appeared last time.
A figure abruptly materialized on Earth.
"Fantastic, I'm finally back!"
Seeing the familiar skyscrapers around, the figure couldn't help but show a hint of excitement in their eyes.
"Wait, this doesn't seem to be my previous universe? What's going on here?"
However, as he observed carefully, he quickly realized something that was hard to accept: the universe he was in at the moment was not his original universe.
"Who's there?"
Suddenly, he sensed someone appearing behind them.
His entire body turned ice-blue in an instant, as if turning into an ice sculpture.
Turning around, he raised both hands and released two blasts of icy cold air at the figure that had suddenly appeared behind them.
Crack!
The cold air he released was even colder than liquid nitrogen, instantly freezing the space into ice.
And it rapidly spread towards the two figures not far away.
"Foolish person."
Facing the onslaught of ice, Peter remained calm, just raising one hand slowly and making a fist, then swinging it out!
Crack!
With a sound like shattered ice, the frozen space was shattered by Peter's punch, turning into ice debris scattered on the ground.
"This person, they're so strong!"
Feeling the opponent's formidable power, the ice-man's face changed dramatically, preparing to unleash an even more powerful blast of cold air.
"Wait, are you Robert?"
However, within this brief moment, Magneto recognized the figure's identity. It was one of Professor X's former subordinates, a mutant with the ability to control ice.
"Are you... the Magneto who won the previous battle?"
And with Magneto's voice, the ice-man finally recognized him, looking incredulous.
"What are you doing here too?"
Putting away his mutant abilities, the ice-man asked Magneto, his face filled with surprise.
"It seems we've both been deceived by that damn guy!"
Magneto's face twisted with anger, wishing to tear the damn guy apart.
"What? How is that possible?"
The ice-man still found it hard to believe.
...
"So, you also ended up here after winning a battle?"
Inside the space station, Peter asked the newly arrived ice-man.
Through the ice-man's description, Peter finally confirmed that the situation Magneto and the ice-man described was basically the same, indicating it wasn't a deception.
"Robert, who was your opponent? How did you win? After all, from what I know, your mutant level seems..."
As Peter fell into thought, Magneto curiously interrupted, asking the ice-man.
After all, the ice-man he knew before, while powerful among mutants, probably wasn't capable of winning in such a battle.
"Weak, huh?"
"Mr. Magneto, you should know, it's not just you who can push your mutant abilities to the extreme and become an Omega-level mutant."
"In fact, when I pushed my cryokinetic abilities to the extreme, I could even freeze space-time!"
Facing Magneto's skepticism, the ice-man's face exuded confidence.
Even though the Magneto before him was formidable, the ice-man considered himself no pushover.
In his universe, he had once used his abilities to freeze the entire spacetime of the Earth.
"Freeze spacetime? Is that really possible?"
Magneto looked at the ice-man in astonishment, still somewhat doubtful.
"Or, shall we have a spar?"
The ice-man was eager to try. Previously in the Battle Realm, he had encountered a mutant who could adapt to various harsh environments and even turn himself into particles to evade all attacks.
But unfortunately, he encountered himself, and cryokinetic abilities happened to be his weakness.
Under absolute zero conditions, the movement of all molecules would be completely frozen.
"Alright, you both have time, why not think carefully about any details from your previous experiences that haven't been mentioned."
Peter interrupted their conversation.
He wanted to resolve this troublesome matter as soon as possible.
After all, nobody could tolerate having someone who could easily destroy the Earth suddenly appear in their universe every now and then.
Not everyone was as communicative as the ice-man.
If someone who would destroy the Earth at the slightest disagreement were to come, accidents would inevitably occur...
"Oh right, there is something that hasn't been mentioned."
Prompted by Peter, the ice-man suddenly remembered something.
"What is it?"
Both Magneto and Peter couldn't help but look at the ice-man with curiosity.
"It was before I entered the battle, Captain America and Iron Man from other universes took the lead and formed a Guardians of Universal organization, discussing how to escape from that Battle Realm."
"After discussion, they planned to concentrate everyone's power on one person, then break through the pocket universe's barrier and escape from it."
"However, before they could fully discuss the plan, I was selected and went up to fight, so I didn't know the complete plan."
"I wonder if this information might be helpful."
The ice-man said regretfully.
"An escape plan? Perhaps it's useful!"
Hearing the ice-man's account, Peter's face lit up with a hint of joy.
If there were a massive energy fluctuation capable of shaking the universal barrier, he might have a chance to sense the location of that universe within the endless void of universes.
"Huh? Another one? So soon?"
However, just as Peter was getting excited, he suddenly felt another powerful energy burst!
...
