[Superman] Chapter 129: The First Battle in the Arena, Magneto Rubs Hands with Black Hole
🕑 Added 2024-05-11 07:39:46 +0000 UTCAt this moment, within the pocket universe, there are dozens of figures.
And each figure represents a powerhouse from a single universe.
Their strength is such that they could easily destroy planets.
Some are even just a step away from breaking through the universe barrier and transcending the reality of their own universe.
However, now, they've all been unwittingly transported to this unknown pocket universe.
And according to some rule, they're to battle each other.
More importantly, as the shadowy figure above stated, if they fail in battle, the destruction will not only befall themselves but also their entire universe.
"Damn, can anyone tell me who this arrogant fellow is?"
Among the crowd, someone can't help but point at the shadowy figure in the sky and ask the others.
"Hmph, whoever he is, attempting to manipulate me, I'll take him down first and ask questions later!"
An elderly Thor, with hair white as snow, wielding the hammer of the silver thunder god, in his aged form, hot-tempered and without hesitation, swings the hammer at the figure in the sky!
Whoosh!
The hammer of the thunder god swiftly cuts through the sky, its immense power and incredible speed turning it into a radiant golden light in an instant.
Like a golden arrow, it pierces through the just-formed void of the pocket universe, not yet fully solidified.
Crack!
A golden thunderous explosion resonates in the air.
Golden lightning surrounds the hammer of the thunder god, rushing towards the shadow covering the entire void.
"Is that Thor? Is he really this powerful?"
The attention of the surrounding people is drawn to the elderly Thor, who has just acted, many of whom know or even recognize Thor, the god of thunder in their universes.
But the Thor they know is vastly different from the elderly Thor now, who fully controls the power of Odin.
"Heh, let this rash fellow be the first to test the strength of that person."
Of course, among them are those who know Thor and are even friends with him, while others have a casual relationship with him or even consider him an enemy.
They watch the actions of the elderly Thor at this moment with cold eyes, seeing Thor as a pawn to test Transcended Celestial's power.
Boom!
In short, almost under everyone's gaze, the hammer of the thunder god, surrounded by golden light, like a rapidly piercing arrow through the void, instantly shoots towards the figure of Transcended Celestial in the sky.
However, under this attack, almost at its peak.
Transcended Celestial merely raises a finger, gently tapping the void.
The next moment, at the end of the pocket universe, brilliant fluorescent lights instantly appear, resembling stars.
Threads of light connect many stars, forming a beautiful star map.
Instantly, everything within the entire universe freezes at this moment.
Including the hammer of the thunder god, which was rushing towards Transcended Celestial, is frozen in the void, as if the reality of the entire universe and time itself were completely solidified.
"How... is this possible?"
"This mysterious person is actually this powerful?"
At this moment, with the reality of the entire pocket universe completely frozen, everyone within it feels a powerful oppressive force sweeping over their bodies.
The terrifying power seems about to crush them into pieces.
Leaving them at this moment, subjected to an immensely intense feeling of fear.
And a kind of overwhelming powerlessness.
Only their consciousness remains unaffected, able to perceive the surrounding scenes.
"No, this kind of power, there's no way to resist!"
Even from this moment on, they can hardly muster any resistance.
"Heh heh, now, you should understand my rules!"
The star map formed by the connected stars behind Transcended Celestial, his figure towering at the end of the universe, standing on the ground as if a god standing in the universe.
The next moment, Transcended Celestial lightly taps the thunder hammer, which is frozen in the void.
Instantly, the star map behind him twinkles, accompanied by a terrifying force, causing the thunder hammer to shatter instantly, completely dissipating within this universe.
"Daring to attack me, I'll destroy your weapon as a punishment!"
Transcended Celestial's eyes are cold, seeming to feel angry at the audacity of being attacked.
"An hour from now, two of you will be randomly selected for a duel."
"The victor will be released!"
"As for the loser, I'm sorry, you and your universe will be completely destroyed!"
With that, accompanied by the majestic voice, the star map behind Transcended Celestial slowly fades into the universe, his figure also dissipating, and at the same time, the entire Battle Area returns to normal.
...
Splurt!
After regaining his freedom, the elderly Thor instantly spewed out a mouthful of golden blood due to his weapon being destroyed.
"Damn it! I'll take you on!"
The intense anger caused by the destruction of his most beloved weapon almost made the elderly Thor lose his rationality, ready to charge into the sky and engage in a deadly battle with the mysterious figure.
"Wait, old friend!"
Suddenly, a figure stood in front of Thor, halting his impulse!
"Tony? No, you're not the Tony I know. He died countless years ago."
Thor looked surprised at the figure blocking his way, his eyes filled with memories.
"Step aside!"
But the next moment, the memories on his face turned into intense anger again, ready to break through Tony's obstruction and rush into the void.
"Hey, Thor, although you're not the Thor I know, we must remain calm now!"
Tony didn't move aside, still blocking the path of the elderly Thor.
"We all just felt it, the incredible strength of that mysterious person, impossible to defeat by one person alone!"
Tony's tone was serious as he advised the elderly Thor.
"Damn it!"
The elderly Thor angrily looked at the figure in the sky, but in the end, reason triumphed over anger.
The recent situation naturally made him feel the huge gap in strength between them.
"Everyone, you heard what that guy just said."
"Perhaps, each of us here is a powerhouse in our respective universes."
"But now, in front of that mysterious person, we have no power to resist."
"Maybe, we can only have a chance to overcome the current predicament if we cooperate!"
After calming Thor down, Tony solemnly addressed everyone around him.
"Tony's right, we must unite now to have a chance to escape this damn place!"
As Tony finished speaking, another figure chimed in.
"Steve?"
Tony looked over, only to see a familiar figure with a helmet, a golden star shining on top of it.
"Yes, it's me."
"Oh, sorry, Steve, I didn't expect you to appear here."
Everyone present who knew the Captain couldn't help but cast curious glances at him.
After all, although the captain is the team leader of the superhero team, his strength is somewhat difficult to describe...
"Heh heh, I didn't expect to appear here myself."
Captain America, wearing the helmet of the Nova Corps, also showed a hint of a smile as he spoke slowly.
"All right, now, we should discuss how to unite and escape from this damn place."
"Captain, do you have any good ideas?"
Each universe has a completely different reality, and they can only accept everything they don't understand.
"Heh heh, you guys are indeed a bunch of cowards."
"In fact, isn't it easy to leave here?"
"As long as we defeat the upcoming opponents, that's the easiest way!"
A young and very handsome figure seemed full of confidence in winning the upcoming battle.
"Professor X, is that you?"
"Charles, you're here too?"
Looking at the suddenly speaking figure, everyone's attention was drawn to him.
A few voices couldn't help but exclaim in astonishment.
"Hmm? It seems you've mistaken me for someone else, but since you recognize me, then you should also know about mutants."
"Sorry, I am not the X Professor or Charles you speak of. My name is Apocalypse, the progenitor of all mutants!"
The guy with the appearance of a young Professor X said, causing some people present to instantly change their facial expressions.
"Apocalypse? Damn it, I never expected it to be you!"
Magneto from a certain universe looked at Apocalypse with anger on his face, even wanting to take action directly.
"Alright, everyone, now is not the time for infighting!"
Someone interjected, not wanting to incite internal conflict at this moment.
"Humph! Indeed, now is not the best time to act. I hope the upcoming duel will place us on the same team!"
Apocalypse snorted coldly, looking at Magneto, his eyes filled with combat intent.
"I think Apocalypse is right. Why rack our brains to escape from here?"
"As long as we are strong enough, winning the upcoming battles will make it easy for us to leave, won't it?"
However, although harmony could be maintained temporarily on the scene.
Among the people from different universes, not all were powerful superheroes, some were powerful villains like Apocalypse, selfish and self-serving.
And they, at this moment, were more inclined to agree with Apocalypse's statement.
As long as their strength was strong enough, they didn't need to fear the upcoming battles at all.
"You're so eager to unite with others to escape from here, because you lack confidence in your own strength!"
Seeing someone echoing his words, a mocking smile appeared on Apocalypse's face.
"Fuck you! Do you want to try the power of my Godkiller Armor?"
Mocked by someone, Tony couldn't help feeling angry. Instantly, a set of armor appeared on his body, enveloping him completely.
At the same time, suddenly, everyone felt as if a huge shadow was looming over their heads, and they couldn't help but slowly look up.
"What's that?"
In the shocked eyes of everyone, a giant metal giant stood in the sky.
"That's enough, everyone calm down!"
Captain America, wearing the Nova helmet, slowly floated up, bursting out with a strong light, forming a golden barrier, separating the two sides with different ideologies.
"Since our ideologies are different, let's each mind our own business!"
In the end, because of their own concerns, there was no real fight. Instead, they reached an agreement to split into two factions based on their ideologies.
One was a united faction that formulated an escape plan and sought opportunities to leave this place together.
The other was a confident faction that was very confident in their own strength and wasn't worried about the upcoming battles.
Of course, some people were watching and had no other actions for the time being.
In any case, at this moment, under the nervous or expectant gaze of everyone,
an hour slowly passed by.
Suddenly, the figure of the Transcended Celestial appeared once again in the universe.
"Everyone, nice to see you again, I hope you're ready."
"Unfortunately, even if you're not ready, the first duel won't be delayed because of it."
"So, without further ado, let us witness together the first magnificent duel in the Combat Realm!"
"Next, please welcome Apocalypse from Universe 748 and Magneto from Universe 1146 to bring us an unparalleled duel!" (The universe numbers are made up)
The Transcended Celestial said with excitement and anticipation, his majestic voice echoing throughout the Combat Realm.
The next moment, on the arena, which was larger than a planet, two figures suddenly appeared.
It was the two individuals just mentioned by the Transcended Celestial.
"Hehe, it's a pity, your luck seems to be quite bad, you've actually encountered me."
Looking at each other from a distance, Apocalypse's face showed a mix of excitement and mockery.
"No, in fact, I am very lucky!"
However, Magneto looked calmly at Apocalypse, his face full of restrained anger.
"Humph! Strictly speaking, you are also my junior, how dare you disrespect your ancestor like this!"
The ground under Apocalypse's feet suddenly turned into yellow sand, almost instantly covering half of the arena's area.
The next moment, in the vast desert, a gust of wind suddenly rose, forming swirling yellow tornadoes, like yellow dragons.
One of them carried Apocalypse, floating slowly in the void, while the others revolved around Apocalypse, exuding a sense of oppression, looking down on Magneto menacingly, and spoke fiercely.
"Words are useless, let's speak with our strength!"
Magneto also didn't show weakness. A special power slowly spread from his body.
The next moment, he floated up suddenly.
At the same time, he raised his hands, standing on the void with his palms facing each other.
The next moment, a brilliant silver light slowly appeared between his palms.
Immediately, a powerful gravitational force appeared in his hands.
In just a moment, a small black hole formed.
"Can Magneto's power still be used like this?"
At this moment, the people outside the arena looked at Magneto, who was creating a black hole with his hands, and couldn't help but feel extremely shocked.
After all, they had never seen their own universe's Magneto display such a powerful ability before.
"Electromagnetism is also one of the four fundamental forces. Strictly speaking, it's still possible to create a black hole by hand, but it requires extremely strong control."
As a Genius Guy, Tony confirmed that this situation was possible.
At the same time, he couldn't help but feel surprised and admiring of Magneto's amazing performance.
"Sure enough, the infinite universe has infinite possibilities, and outstanding individuals in each universe are not ordinary people."
At this moment, looking at the majestic figures on the arena, almost everyone was amazed by the wonderful reality of the infinite universe.
