🕑 Added 2024-05-11 07:38:31 +0000 UTC"What did you say?"
Rocket's face was filled with astonishment as he couldn't help but glance at the old man who had just stepped out of the spaceship, then turned to Star-Lord, who looked equally shocked.
"Wait, old man, what did you just call me?"
Star-Lord stared at Ego in disbelief, his face filled with incredulity.
"Son, I am your long-lost biological father!"
Ego walked slowly towards Star-Lord, his face unable to contain his excitement, as if he had finally found a long-lost relative.
"What? You're my father?"
Upon hearing this news for the first time, Star-Lord's face was not only shocked but also suspicious, unable to help but scrutinize Ego with his eyes.
"It's impossible, this can't be true. My father..."
Facing Ego approaching him, Star-Lord put down his weapon, but seemed unable to face such a situation, constantly stepping back.
"I'm sorry, son, I know it's hard for you to accept right now. Please believe me, I will slowly tell you everything!"
Ego stepped forward quickly, reaching out to hold Star-Lord's shoulder, stopping him from evading further.
"Son, come with me. I'll take you back to our home."
Ego stepped aside slowly, making way to the spaceship's door, inviting Star-Lord in.
"Our home?"
At this moment, Star-Lord finally stopped evading and followed Ego slowly towards the spaceship.
"Are you really my father?"
However, just before entering the spaceship, Star-Lord still looked at Ego with suspicion.
"Of course!"
Ego nodded affirmatively.
"Alright, I'll trust you this once!"
In the end, Star-Lord hesitated no longer, slowly boarding Ego's spaceship.
"Oh, by the way, my friends, can they come with me?"
After entering the spaceship, Star-Lord suddenly turned around, looking at Rocket and Drax, who had been almost forgotten, and asked Ego.
"Of course, your friends are very welcome to accompany us."
Ego nodded with a smile.
"Hey, big dumb guy, what's going on? Is that guy really Quill's father?"
As they entered the spaceship, Rocket still wore a skeptical expression and couldn't help but whisper to Drax.
"Father and son recognizing each other, it's such a touching thing."
Drax looked envious, as if he had thought of his own lost relatives.
"Damn it, not a single smart guy around."
Rocket looked helpless, feeling unlucky to have encountered these two fools.
However, despite the doubt, until they got evidence, Rocket naturally couldn't forcibly separate the father and son who had just reunited.
All they could do was prepare to search for the truth in the coming process.
Sizzle!
Soon, as everyone stepped into the spaceship, the spacecraft's hatch closed, then slowly started up, leaving the void behind.
"Damn it, our spaceship!"
As the spaceship left the void, Rocket suddenly remembered the spaceship they had forgotten.
"Don't worry, I'll have someone deliver the money from the equipment you just sold and your spaceship to our home."
With Ego's words, the spaceship turned into a stream of light in an instant, entering the process of space jump.
...
The spaceship swiftly shuttled through space.
Soon, after dozens of space jumps, it successfully exited the space node.
After a short flight, it gently landed on a planet with a beautiful illusion.
"Is this your home?"
As the spaceship slowly flew over the picturesque planet, Star-Lord, looking through the window at everything, couldn't believe his eyes as he asked Ego.
"No, now, this is our common home!"
Facing Star-Lord, Ego smiled broadly and emphasized the word "our".
On the way back, Ego had briefly explained everything between them to Star-Lord.
Of course, Ego had hidden some important things from Star-Lord.
For example, his true purpose in finding Star-Lord was not just to find his biological child.
It was to use Star-Lord to fulfill his grand plan of conquering the entire universe!
"Our... home?"
Star-Lord looked down at the beautiful illusion below as if he were in a dream, momentarily unsure if this was reality.
"Come on, son, let's go visit our home together!"
Soon, the spaceship gently landed on the planet.
Ego reached out to Star-Lord, inviting him.
Feeling like he was in a dream, Star-Lord didn't refuse Ego, following him down the spaceship. They strolled on the real planet, finally confirming that everything before them was not an illusion but reality!
"I never thought Quill's father would be a real tycoon, owning an entire planet."
Drax and the others also followed down the spaceship.
Drax, with a simple and honest face, looked at the beautiful surroundings and couldn't help but marvel at Ego's wealth.
After all, this was the property of an entire planet.
"Damn, why do I feel like something's not right?"
Only Rocket, looking at Ego's figure and the beautiful illusion around them, felt increasingly uneasy.
"Little raccoon, I see you're jealous that Star-Lord found such a wealthy relative!"
Drax looked down at Rocket with mockery.
"Damn big guy, you're the one who's jealous!"
Rocket roared angrily at Drax.
"Alright, stop it, let's catch up!"
Drax paid no heed to Rocket's anger and followed the two ahead.
Behind them, the girl who had followed them down hesitated as she looked at the figures ahead.
In the end, she shook her head and said nothing, following them.
......
Beyond the universe.
In a remote corner.
The figure of Transcended Celestial, who had previously fled in haste, suddenly appeared here.
"Damn it, such a powerful existence in an ordinary single universe reality?"
Until this moment, Transcended Celestial also felt incredulous. In an ordinary universe reality, there existed such a powerful entity.
With his consciousness avatar, he was simply powerless to fight back.
Unless he descended with his true body into the reality of that universe, perhaps then he would have enough strength to confront it.
"Hmph, it's a pity. Having great power but staying within the confines of the universe, unable to comprehend the true essence of the cosmos."
Although Transcended Celestial now possessed the ability to transcend single universes and freely traverse the multiverse, he was more aware that there were higher pursuits beyond this.
Just as there were countless multiverses beyond the single universe, there were beings above him, even more powerful, akin to true creator gods.
"With the strength of that universe, there is certainly qualification to fight on my behalf and fulfill the terms of the wager."
"However, persuading that guy to agree seems to be a bit troublesome!"
Undoubtedly, solely Peter, who possessed such formidable power within that universe, would suffice to meet Transcended Celestial's requirements.
However, he was well aware that if he were to rashly move into that universe, it would surely attract that person's attention.
More importantly, that universe might have recently experienced an invasion from another universe, making the cosmic barriers unusually weak.
It would be impossible to engage in combat with another universe.
"Perhaps, I need to come up with a win-win solution."
Transcended Celestial pondered incessantly, searching for a better plan.
"Oh right, there are those universes I marked before."
Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck Transcended Celestial, as if he had instantly come up with an idea.
"Unfortunately, for the sake of my plan, the realities of those universes can only become sacrifices!"
A brilliant smile appeared on Transcended Celestial's face, but within that smile, there seemed to be boundless cruelty.
He would accomplish his goals at the cost of countless extinguished realities.
In this moment, Transcended Celestial no longer hesitated. With a flicker, he began to prepare his plan.
...
In the infinite multiverse.
Clusters of pale red spherical hexahedrons are arranged in a special manner within the void.
Each of them represents a single universe, each with nearly infinite cosmic realities.
And at this moment, a colossal figure floats slowly among the infinite single universes, as if searching for something.
"Finally found it. This is the closest place to those marked universes by me."
Hovering before a vast expanse of nothingness, Transcended Celestial attentively senses each universe he had marked before.
"Since that's the case, it's time to begin my plan!"
In an instant, Transcended Celestial's expression became extremely serious because what he was about to do next would require all his might, even for someone as powerful as him.
To achieve his plan, Transcended Celestial didn't immediately act but stood in the void, continuously absorbing the void energy outside the universe to restore his previously damaged consciousness.
In the scale beyond the universe, time had long lost its original function and rules.
After an unknown duration, seeming like eons or passing in the blink of an eye, Transcended Celestial finally completely restored his energy to its peak state.
He slowly opened his eyes, their gaze like two brilliant stars, peering into the void ahead.
Then, he slowly raised his hands.
As if holding countless stars, his hands shimmered with dazzling light to the extreme.
The next moment, Transcended Celestial decisively clasped his hands together.
Boom!
In the void, terrifying energies collided, unleashing a silent annihilation.
A scene as terrifying as the cosmic explosion unfolded.
Transcended Celestial actually, with his bare hands, carved out a reality in the void before him with immense power.
Crack!
As Transcended Celestial gradually separated his hands, the periphery of the annihilated space began to slowly form a special barrier, resembling a cosmic barrier, like the cooling ice on a water surface.
After the brilliance faded and dissipated,
A small hexahedronal universe slowly appeared in Transcended Celestial's hands.
"Creating a pocket universe isn't easy!"
Transcended Celestial breathed a sigh of relief. Although the process consumed immense energy, seeing the pocket universe floating in the void like a true universe, Transcended Celestial couldn't help but reveal a brilliant smile.
"Next, it's time to prepare for the Infinite Universe Battle!"
With Transcended Celestial's dazzling smile, his figure flickered and instantly entered the pocket universe he had just created.
...
In a universe filled with coldness, darkness, and loneliness.
Here, unlike other universes, there are no stars constantly releasing light and heat.
Nor is there a planet capable of nurturing life, creating intelligence, and beings.
The entire world seems like a void, devoid of any existence.
But suddenly, the figure of Transcended Celestial appears in this world, bringing it a hint of vitality and vigor.
"Hmm, it still needs some remodeling!"
With Transcended Celestial's thoughts, the entire void world begins to change rapidly.
From nothingness, special slabs of stone appear out of thin air.
And with Transcended Celestial's intention, a massive structure is swiftly erected in the void universe.
Boom!
It's as if the entire pocket universe is trembling.
After an unknown period, a colossal arena, larger than a planet, rises from the ground.
"Here, let's call it the Arena of Combat!"
As the creator of this pocket universe, Transcended Celestial decisively names it the Arena of Combat.
"And next, it's time to find participants for this arena!"
At this moment, Transcended Celestial's face is filled with intense excitement.
Before transcending the universe, his only interest was watching people fight each other, enjoying that unique thrill.
Never did he expect that after leaving the universe, he would still have the chance to witness the strongest beings from each universe battling each other.
Although there are some undisclosed purposes behind this.
Yet, he still can't help but feel incredibly excited for the thrilling scenes to come.
In the next moment, Transcended Celestial closes his eyes again.
Feeling the marks he left on other universes.
In the infinite multiverse void.
Atop the barrier of a hexahedral universe, a glimmer of dazzling light suddenly flashes.
The next moment, this light instantly transforms into a beam, directly enveloping a figure on Earth.
As the beam dissipates, along with it, the figure vanishes in an instant.
"Where is this...?"
In an instant, dozens of figures suddenly appear in the previously empty pocket universe.
Among them, there are men and women.
And some of them even bear strikingly similar faces.
As if they were the same person from different periods.
"Welcome, everyone, to the Arena of Combat created by me personally."
"And next, you will engage in magnificent and unparalleled battles here."
"However, it's regrettable that each of you here is a participant."
"Most importantly, if you are defeated in battle, you will pay an unimaginably huge price."
"And this price will be your entire universe!"
Transcended Celestial's colossal shadow almost envelops the entire pocket universe.
Looking down at the incredulous crowd, his voice full of oppression, like that of a deity, makes it difficult for people to muster any resistance.
"What... what's going on?"
Countless people look at each other, then simultaneously gaze at Transcended Celestial in the void, their faces filled with disbelief.
...
