[Superman] Chapter 127: Establishing the Celestial Sword Bureau, Finding Star-Lord
🕑 Added 2024-05-05 06:01:05 +0000 UTC"This? It's unbelievable! Superman is actually here with me?"
At this moment, countless people gazed at the figure floating in the void, with his cape fluttering continuously, their eyes filled with astonishment.
They never expected that the real Superman had once lived among them.
"Indeed, Peter is Superman!"
Gwen's gaze was firmly fixed on Peter's figure in the void, with an indescribable emotion in her eyes.
"Who exactly was that guy just now?"
Although Superman's identity was now exposed to everyone's gaze.
But Peter, who was now in the void, didn't care about it at all.
What he cared about more was who that guy was, who appeared in their universe just like the Watcher, and with malicious intent.
"And moreover, what is the purpose of this guy's appearance?"
Although Peter had just successfully destroyed the guy's body, he could naturally sense that it wasn't his true form.
Slowly scanning the crowd below, ignoring the excited cheers of the crowd.
Peter didn't hesitate at all, and his figure disappeared in an instant.
"Mom, I saw Superman, do you believe it? He's actually my classmate..."
...
"Shocking, Superman's true identity is actually..."
"Guyz, who would have thought, my classmate is actually Superman..."
"I, who once took a punch from Superman and survived..."
Peter's identity as Superman was exposed, quickly sparking a huge wave of public opinion worldwide.
Everyone was shocked that the world-famous Superman turned out to be just a recent high school graduate... a kid.
Of course, besides Superman's identity being exposed, what caught many people's attention were the two figures that appeared in the sky during the graduation ceremony.
Those two suddenly appearing figures seemed nothing like people from their world.
Especially the first figure, with a strange appearance resembling an extraterrestrial creature.
And the massive illusory figure occupying half the sky.
It was hard to believe that they were native beings from Earth.
Some even cleverly speculated about their true origins, perhaps not only from outside Earth but from beyond the universe, similar to truly divine beings like a god.
In any case, the graduation ceremony of Midtown High School became famous worldwide.
Within S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury stared solemnly at the video footage taken during the graduation ceremony.
"Do we have any information on those two suddenly appearing guys?"
Nick Fury wasn't overly concerned about Superman's identity being exposed.
After all, Superman dared to reveal his identity, so he must have been prepared for everything.
What he was more concerned about were those two mysterious figures that suddenly appeared.
Although it seemed like the last one had been taken out directly by Superman.
But Nick Fury always felt that things wouldn't be that simple.
Perhaps these two mysterious guys would bring unprecedented crises to their Earth and even the entire universe.
"Sorry, Director, we've dispatched over a thousand agents to investigate, but we haven't found any information about those two mysterious individuals yet."
"Perhaps, as some netizens suggested, those two figures are not from Earth but from the universe, or even... beyond the universe!"
Agent Hill's expression was somewhat unpleasant, with a sense of powerlessness in her demeanor.
Even though they were elite agents, they could only operate on Earth. They couldn't even fully uncover the secrets hidden on Earth, let alone facing mysterious events that might come from beyond Earth or even the universe.
"Hill, although it seems difficult for S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel to investigate them, as S.H.I.E.L.D., we must be prepared to grasp any situation that may endanger the Earth at any time."
"Otherwise, we will end up like before, facing crises that could destroy the entire Earth without any countermeasures, just watching helplessly..."
Nick Fury naturally noticed the dilemma on Agent Hill's face, but as S.H.I.E.L.D., they must ensure the safety of the Earth, no matter how difficult the situation was.
Thinking back to the previous sudden crises of destruction.
Even as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury's face, can't help but reveal a trace of gravity, just a short time ago, swept across the entire universe in the midst of the crisis of annihilation, he saw countless heroes fall before Thanos, even including himself.
"I understand, Director. I will do my best to find out everything!"
Agent Hill solemnly promised.
"Good, as long as you do your best, that's enough!"
Nick Fury also knew the difficulty of investigating this matter. Unless they could meet Superman and get information from him.
"Focus the investigation on extraterrestrial beings hidden on Earth, such as the Skrulls, they come from the universe, perhaps they have information about those two figures..."
After a moment of contemplation, Nick Fury also proposed a direction for the investigation.
"Understood, Director!"
With the command received, Agent Hill walked out of the office directly to continue the investigation.
"Earth is becoming increasingly turbulent!"
Nick Fury stood up and looked out the window at the city outside, seemingly calm but hiding an imperceptible storm.
"The threats from beyond Earth are becoming more frequent."
He looked up at the sky, at the half-moon hanging above the sky.
"Perhaps, S.H.I.E.L.D. is no longer enough to face the crises that are emerging today."
"It's time to establish a special organization with the universe as its core!"
At this moment, a special idea suddenly appeared in his mind!
...
When the idea emerged, Nick Fury didn't hesitate at all.
He immediately mobilized all resources to start establishing a new organization to guard against various crises from beyond Earth in the universe.
And for this new organization, he came up with a very domineering name—Celestial Sword Bureau!
In order to establish a true Celestial Sword Bureau, he even stopped defining this organization as Earth-exclusive, starting to recruit extraterrestrial races hidden on Earth.
He even sent invitations to some powerful technological organizations on Earth, such as the hidden nation of Wakanda in Africa, the Inhuman kingdom hidden on the moon, Attilan.
And finally, the most powerful company on Earth today, backed by Superman's Stellar Technology!
He proposed the idea of jointly establishing the Celestial Sword Bureau with them.
"Establish the Celestial Sword Bureau?"
"Hehe, it seems that Nick Fury has been stimulated by what happened before."
Soon, Peter, who was the true controller of Stellar Technology, knew about this news.
"Mr. Superman ......, should we accept their invitation to jointly establish the space base of the Celestial Sword Bureau?"
Dr. Otto, the current CEO of Stellar Technology, now looked at Superman standing in front of him, and thought of his recently exposed identity, feeling somewhat unreal.
But he only knew that whether the person in front of him was Superman or high school student Peter Parker.
For him, they were both benefactors who helped him realize his dreams.
"Well, since that's the case, we have no reason to refuse."
After a brief thought, Peter realized that the establishment of the Celestial Sword Bureau was inevitable at this moment.
After all, perhaps some crisis from beyond the universe would happen soon.
For Earth, having an organization that guards against the universe may make humans feel a bit more at ease.
And they didn't need to pay too much, just some technology beyond Earth's level, to gain a significant share of power in the Celestial Sword Bureau.
"I understand, Mr. Superman, I'll contact S.H.I.E.L.D. right away."
Seeing that Peter didn't refuse or hesitate, Dr. Otto prepared to go directly to S.H.I.E.L.D. to discuss cooperation regarding the Celestial Sword Bureau.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Otto, at this moment, had already undergone some modifications to his octopus tentacles, all replaced with nanotechnology materials.
Without any activation, he looked almost indistinguishable from an ordinary person.
Moreover, for his safety, he was provided with the latest model of nano battle armor, making him almost invincible on Earth except against some powerful enemies.
"Dr. Otto, you can just call me Peter from now on."
Stopping Otto who was about to leave, Peter said with a smile on his face.
"Okay, Mr. Pe... ter!"
...
As countless special organizations on Earth joined forces to create a special organization aimed at the universe, the Celestial Sword Bureau.
In the distant cosmos.
A spaceship swiftly sailed through the starry sky, traversing spacetime nodes, arriving at the void.
"Quill, are you sure this is the place?"
Inside the spaceship, Rocket questioned Star-Lord with a skeptical expression.
"Of course, little raccoon. This is the most chaotic place in the entire universe, and also the best place for selling stolen goods!"
Star-Lord's face was adorned with a brilliant smile.
This operation brought them quite a haul.
However, they needed to find a good place to sell their loot and exchange it for currency that would be accepted throughout the universe.
"Alright, I'll trust you one more time!"
Rocket seemed to anticipate the massive amount of money they would make after selling all the loot, a smile uncontrollably creeping onto his face as he guided the spaceship to land slowly in the void.
"Huh? What happened here before? Why is it so chaotic?"
However, as soon as they landed in the Knowhere, Star-Lord and his team saw a group of mercenaries surrounding their spaceship, looking as if they were about to rob them.
This struck Star-Lord as very strange. While this place was known as the most chaotic in the universe, it wasn't this chaotic the last time he was here.
"Star-Lord, how long has it been since you were last here?"
"Um... maybe two years... or three years, or... well, definitely not more than five years!"
Star-Lord looked embarrassed. The last time he was here, he was with Yondu. He had long forgotten the exact time.
Nor had he thought that the current Knowhere would be so chaotic.
"Well, in that case, we should stretch our legs a bit."
Rocket no longer paid attention to the unreliable Star-Lord, pulling out a massive energy cannon with a cruel expression on his face.
"Roar!"
Drax also eagerly drew out a bladed weapon, then opened the hatch and leaped out.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
In an instant, the landing area turned into a battlefield.
...
"Let's see, how much can we get for all this stuff?"
In no time, within the chaos of the Knowhere, amidst a relatively harmonious black market, Star-Lord, Rocket, and Drax each carried a large bundle of items as they entered. They casually dumped the goods on the ground and called out to the shopkeeper.
"Hehe, welcome, friends. Looks like you've pulled off quite a heist!"
Quickly, a somewhat sleazy-looking alien approached them, eyes gleaming as he gazed upon the pile of high-tech equipment on the ground.
"Of course, didn't expect that as soon as we arrived, a bunch of idiots here would try to rob us..."
Drax displayed a proud smile, without a hint of guile in his words.
"Cough, cough, let's just calculate how much all this equipment is worth!"
Star-Lord interrupted Drax before he could continue.
"Hehe, no rush, let me calculate!"
The sleazy-looking boss meticulously inspected each piece of equipment on the ground, seemingly calculating their value at the same time.
"Hey, boss, has anything special happened here recently? It seems much more chaotic than before."
Star-Lord and the others, not too anxious, sat on comfortable couches, waiting for the settlement while casually asking the busy boss.
"Oh? You guys don't know? A month ago, something big happened here."
"The Collector, who originally secretly controlled the Knowhere, was completely robbed by Yondu and a mysterious powerful individual! They cleared out all of the collector's treasures."
"What? Yondu?"
Hearing the boss's words, Star-Lord wore an incredulous expression.
He never imagined that after he left, Yondu would pull off such a big feat.
"Boss, are you sure it was Yondu?"
Rocket also looked surprised, unable to resist confirming with the boss.
"Of course, how could I forget? It was because of that incident that the Knowhere, which used to be secretive, turned into the chaotic place it is now."
"Various cosmic marauders and mercenary groups are at war almost every day, in addition to grabbing resources, they are grabbing the territory and control of the Knowhere."
Boss One Change maneuvered the equipment, constantly scanning the various high-tech equipment on the ground while not forgetting to explain.
"No wonder, as soon as we arrived, we were targeted by some guys. Turns out it's because of that Yondu guy!"
Star-Lord still wore an incredulous expression. In his eyes, Yondu, that stubborn guy, couldn't possibly have done something so big.
"Hehe, now there's fighting every day here, and people die every day. This is what a real Knowhere should be like!"
The boss smirked sleazily, rising slowly and looking at Star-Lord and his group.
"Boss, have you finished calculating? We're in a hurry to leave!"
Drax, whose life had been devoted to seeking revenge against Ronan, but unfortunately heard news of Ronan's demise on Xandar not long ago, leaving him nowhere to vent his hatred, had to prioritize other matters.
"Hehehe, almost done!"
"Just a bit of a shame, the value of these equipment isn't that great..."
"How could that be? Don't deceive us, boss. These equipment must be worth millions!"
"Cough, what I mean is, the value of these equipment is far from matching his value!"
However, facing Rocket's questioning, the sleazy-looking boss suddenly turned coldly towards Star-Lord.
"Damn, we need to run!"
"What's going on?"
Star-Lord and Rocket's faces changed instantly, while Drax seemed a bit confused about the situation.
Swish!
Just as they were about to leave, a silver-white spaceship slowly descended at the entrance, blocking their way.
"Fuck, it's too late!"
Star-Lord and Rocket's faces turned ugly, each pulling out their weapons and aiming at the spaceship's hatch.
Sizzle!
As the hatch opened, an elderly man with white hair slowly walked out, followed by a girl with two tentacles on her head.
"Great, I've finally found you, my dear child!"
Just as Rocket and Star-Lord were preparing to shoot directly, the old man looked at Star-Lord with a face full of love and said slowly.
...
