[Superman] Chapter 124: Ultron, Who Gathered Six Stones
🕑 Added 2024-05-01 17:03:20 +0000 UTC"Reward for Yondu, what does it have to do with me, Star-Lord?"
On the spaceship traversing through the universe, Star-Lord wore an indifferent expression.
His relationship with Yondu was no longer that of captain and crew.
The Ravagers loathed traitors the most.
And after this betrayal, if Yondu caught up to him, his fate could be extremely grim.
"Damn it, Quill, what a fool."
Facing Star-Lord's reaction, Rocket ignored him and controlled the ship to accelerate, heading straight into the temporal node for spatial jumps.
After tens of minutes, a silver-white cosmic ship suddenly appeared at this spatial node.
"Hmph, running quite fast!"
Standing in the ship, Ego looked at the vast and directionless cosmic void, his expression serious.
In his indifferent eyes, there was a blaze of anger.
"Peter Quill? I hope you have enough value to assist me in completing my plan to consume the universe!"
"Otherwise, wasting my time and effort, I will make you suffer more than your siblings..."
As a cosmic ancient life that has existed for billions of years, Ego had almost lost all emotions.
For the sake of devouring the entire universe and becoming the most powerful existence in the cosmos, he didn't hesitate to kill thousands of his own offspring.
The reason was that those children did not inherit his unique Celestial bloodline and could not help him conquer and consume the universe.
So, to him, a child's life couldn't compare to his great plan to conquer the universe.
And now, his anger and fury were solely because Quill had wasted his time and made him run in vain.
"Ding, Mr. Ego, the bounty task you issued has been completed..."
Suddenly, the enraged Ego was attracted by the ship's system sound.
It turned out that one of the many bounty tasks he had issued had been completed.
Over countless years, he had spread his bloodline seeds throughout the universe, giving birth to countless offspring.
And the bounty tasks he issued were to help him bring back his offspring.
And Star-Lord, who should have been brought back from Earth to his planet by Yondu long ago.
It was just that Yondu, sensing something, didn't bring Star-Lord back to Ego as agreed after taking him from Earth.
This allowed Star-Lord to survive until now.
Unfortunately, things changed, and Star-Lord was eventually targeted by Ego.
"I hope this time, I won't be disappointed again."
With the good news, Ego no longer paid much attention to the fleeing Star-Lord.
After adding Star-Lord to the bounty, he directly controlled the ship and returned to his brain, a special life planet.
...
Soon after, the spaceship piloted by Ego successfully landed on a picturesque fantasy planet.
"My friend, you've finally returned!"
As the spaceship touched down in an open area, a group of mercenaries clad in peculiar armor approached.
The leader, dressed in high-tech mech armor, greeted Ego with a smile on his face.
"No need for pleasantries. Have you completed the task I assigned to you?"
Stepping off the ship, Ego remained stern, showing no excitement at seeing his friend.
"Of course, you're our benefactor. Even if it meant going through fire and water, I would fulfill the task you assigned to us."
The mercenary leader, wearing the armor, smiled ingratiatingly and then turned to his subordinates. "Bring her here."
Soon, his subordinates brought out a peculiar alien girl with two antennae protruding from her head from their ship.
"This is the target you asked us to retrieve. Please inspect."
As the mercenary leader spoke, he pushed the alien girl towards Ego.
"Child, I've finally found you!"
Looking at the alien girl before him, Ego's initially stern expression changed instantly. Like a kind old man who had lost a loved one, he revealed a radiant smile.
However, hidden within his gaze was a subtle hint of ferocity.
Then, the ferocity disappeared in an instant as Ego slowly approached the girl.
"Child, come, let me take you to see our new home."
He held her hand and turned to walk into the distance.
"Wait, Mr. Ego, shouldn't we settle the..."
The mercenary leader behind couldn't help but interrupt.
"Ding, one million has been transferred to your account..."
The next moment, he received a transfer notification.
"I hope you can quickly complete the next task."
Ego casually said.
"Don't worry, Mr. Ego, I'll make sure to bring back your other children as soon as possible."
The mercenary leader turned excitedly, leading his subordinates back onto the ship.
Then, they promptly departed from the picturesque fantasy planet without hesitation.
"Captain, why do I feel like something's off? Why didn't we see the one who was sent over last time..."
As the ship left, one of the crew members looked at Ego and the alien girl he had just received, sensing that something was amiss.
"Hmph, don't ask what you shouldn't! We just need to do our job for the money."
"For such an easy task, where else could we find it?"
"Let's go, off to the next planet!"
The mercenary leader glared at his subordinate and then commanded the ship, flying towards the next destination.
As he watched the mercenary ship depart, Ego's previously bright smile gradually faded, replaced by a gaze filled with anticipation as he looked at the child he had just met.
"Child, I need your help to accomplish something great!"
...
Beyond the boundless singular universes.
The Transcendent Celestial, detached from the realities of the universe, was traversing through countless voids, selecting a universe suitable for representing himself in battle.
Soon, he halted outside a hexahedral universe.
As if able to perceive everything, his gaze pierced through the glass-like prisms into the universe's reality.
His ethereal consciousness instantly detached from his body, merging into the universe's reality.
"A universe devoid of any distinguishing features, entirely inadequate."
However, his form quickly reverted to normal, seemingly losing all interest in this exceedingly ordinary universe in just a short moment.
Then, in a flash, he appeared outside another universe.
His sharp gaze once again surveyed the reality within the universe.
His ethereal consciousness once again descended into this universe.
"Hmm? Earth ruled by artificial intelligence and robots?"
This time, the reality at the center of this universe seemed to pique the Transcendent Celestial's interest slightly.
"Unfortunately, while artificial intelligence may be sufficiently unified, their strength is ultimately too weak for my purposes."
With a sigh, the Transcendent Celestial's consciousness departed from this universe's reality once again, returning to the void beyond the universe.
He then arrived outside another universe, repeating his previous actions.
"Ah, a universe filled with unconscious zombies, better off destroyed..."
"A universe with only the Avengers, insufficient strength..."
"A universe with only mutants, the timeline not fully developed, still not powerful enough..."
"Hmm? A universe with various superhero organizations known as the Illuminati? The strength in this universe seems acceptable, I'll mark it for now!"
"Damn, a two-dimensional comic universe, a complete waste of my time!"
Outside the universe, time had long lost its effect.
Soon, the Transcendent Celestial traversed through the realities of countless universes.
However, none of them, even those at the center on Earth, had enough formidable forces to catch his eye for various reasons.
Apart from many normal universes that followed the regular timeline, there was even one particularly unique universe where Earth lacked even a single superhero surpassing the limits of an ordinary person.
It was simply an Earth epitomizing mundanity.
"Why would the center of the universe be such an inconspicuous planet?"
Even after transcending the reality of the universe and freely roaming the multiverse, he couldn't fathom why such an inconspicuous planet was at the center of the universe.
With this question in mind, after who knows how long, the Transcendent Celestial browsed through thousands upon thousands of singular universes.
He then arrived once again in a special universe.
"Hmm? The reality of this universe has been extensively modified by powerful forces?"
The powerful consciousness beyond the universe instantly realized the special circumstances of Earth's reality in this universe.
The next moment, out of curiosity, the Transcendent Celestial's consciousness traversed through the timeline of this universe.
Finally, he found the source of the modification of Earth's reality in this universe.
"It's actually... her?"
In the astonished gaze of the Transcendent Celestial, he saw a woman exuding a terrifying aura, with scarlet energy swirling around her body like blood.
The destructive crimson energy transformed into a crimson dress around her, then into a crown symbolizing supreme authority above her head.
Her scarlet lips lifted lightly, and with a voice that was neither loud nor soft but seemed to echo throughout the world, she uttered, "There are no more mutants in this world!"
The eerie red energy enveloped her body, instantly spreading like blood, invading and spreading throughout the reality of the entire world.
In just a fleeting moment, the reality of the entire world underwent tremendous changes because of this simple sentence.
Underneath her declaration, mutants instantly lost their inherent superpowers.
"This power... is it chaos magic?"
The Transcendent Celestial calmly observed everything that happened in the past timeline, almost immediately realizing the nature of this powerful force capable of altering reality.
"Hmm, her strength is formidable enough, though her mental stability is somewhat lacking. Let's mark this down for now."
Feeling the awakening of the incredibly powerful Scarlet Witch, the Transcendent Celestial decisively marked this special universe.
Then, his consciousness departed from the universe, returning to the void beyond.
Only a sexy and beautiful woman remained in this universe, seemingly sensing something, her crimson eyes flickering as she looked towards the sky, as if she could see beyond the universe.
...
And then, the Transcendent Celestial was not affected by this small incident.
His consciousness continued to wander through the realities of countless universes, searching for a universe where he could represent himself in battle.
Soon, he encountered once again another being, equally powerful and capable of altering or even destroying reality, just like the Scarlet Witch.
A being who completely integrated the power of the Phoenix, possessing the formidable power to destroy worlds: Jean Grey.
"After the power of chaos, the appearance of the power of the Phoenix Force, the infinite universe indeed holds infinite possibilities!"
This time, the Transcendent Celestial was not surprised by the reality he saw.
In an infinite universe, there are infinite possibilities.
Whether it was the fully awakened Scarlet Witch or Jean, who completely merged with the power of the Phoenix Force, they were both existences entirely permissible within the universe.
After marking this universe once again, the Transcendent Celestial departed from the universe, continuing his exploration of the reality of the next universe.
After experiencing the realities of several ordinary universes.
The Transcendent Celestial arrived once again in a universe where all humans had been wiped out, and Earth had just been ruled by artificial intelligence.
"Unfortunately, another boring universe!"
Having traversed through thousands upon thousands of universe realities, such scenes had long made the Transcendent Celestial feel somewhat numb.
Facing such a universe, he couldn't even be bothered to take a second look.
However, just as he was about to leave this utterly unattractive universe.
A spatial portal suddenly appeared in front of the robot, adorned with a yellow gem on its head and entirely made of vibranium.
Immediately after, a giant with purple skin emerged from the portal, wearing a gleaming golden glove on his left hand.
The glove shimmered with the colorful light of five gems.
"Oh? A showdown between the wielders of the five Infinity Stones and the holder of the final Infinity Stone?"
The Collector, who had been prepared to leave, suddenly became interested upon seeing this and didn't rush to leave. Instead, he continued to observe how things would unfold.
"This... How is this possible?"
However, the ensuing situation far exceeded his expectations.
Thanos, wielding the Infinity Gauntlet and possessing five Infinity Stones, was instantly defeated by the robot with only one Infinity Stone.
A dazzling yellow beam streaked across.
Thanos' body was split in half directly.
The next moment, the robot's gaze remained calm, looking at the five Infinity Stones shining brightly on the Infinity Gauntlet.
Then, accompanied by a strange power, the five Infinity Stones slowly flew into the air.
Ding!
Immediately, they were embedded in the chest of the robot.
"I finally... see everything!"
"I also see you, intruder from beyond the universe!"
The next moment, with the power of the six Infinity Stones, Ultron's gaze seemed to penetrate all falsehoods.
His crimson eyes instantly turned towards the location of the Transcendent Celestial's consciousness.
"Impossible, with the power of the Infinity Stones, how could you possibly detect my presence?"
The Transcendent Celestial was very confident in his own strength. Even the Infinity Stones from ordinary singular universes, even if all six were gathered, couldn't possibly detect his existence.
After all, in all the universe realities he had experienced before, even the ones where six Infinity Stones were successfully collected, and Thanos had snapped his fingers, they had never discovered the existence of the Transcendent Celestial.
Only this peculiar robot before him could detect him.
