"Is that... Captain Marvel?"
As Carol appeared outside the battleship in space, Thanos's forces promptly noticed her presence.
Equally, Captain Marvel had a formidable reputation throughout the cosmos.
"Damn it, how did this person get here?"
Ebony Maw's expression turned grave.
"All forces prepare for battle, dispatch all warships!"
He ordered an immediate counterattack without hesitation.
Instantly, the massive battleship's hangar doors opened, and countless smaller ships flew out like bees from a hive, densely filling the space.
They took complete control of the expanse.
The swarm of ships then merged into a vast torrent of steel, surging towards Carol in space.
Biubiubiu!
At the same time, dazzling energy beams spurted from the countless warships.
Watching the fleet rushing towards her, Carol's face showed no panic; a smirk of contempt even appeared.
Her body then flickered with blinding light.
In the next moment, she transformed into a radiant streak of light, dashing through the fleet like a brilliant meteor.
Her hands emitted dazzling energy beams, destroying any ship they touched, exploding in the air like fireworks, bursting into radiance.
The fleet's energy cannons, even if they hit her, could not inflict any damage.
Thanos warships were directly shattered upon contact with her.
In just a moment, the entire fleet suffered heavy losses.
"Prepare the main cannon for firing!"
Ebony Maw, seeing the swift decimation of his fleet, spoke with a dark and resolute tone.
"But our fleet..."
Corvus Glaive reminded him that their own fleet was within the main cannon's range.
"We have no choice, fire now."
Ebony Maw's face was ugly but determined.
Stopping Carol was of utmost importance, even more so than preserving their fleet.
Hum!
Under Ebony Maw's firm order, the giant battleship extended numerous small cannons and a gigantic cannon with a diameter of several meters.
Energy began to brew within the cannons, forming a rapidly spinning vortex of blue energy.
After brewing for over ten seconds, everything was finally ready.
"Fire!"
The cannons erupted with energy, with the smaller ones firing bursts of dazzling energy that exploded upon contact with anything in space.
The precise strikes targeted the area of space where Carol was, enveloping her figure in the brilliant explosions and destroying dozens of their own ships that couldn't retreat in time.
From the gigantic cannon, a radiant blue energy beam burst forth, cutting across space. Anything in its path, including any warship too slow to evade, was obliterated without a trace.
This main cannon, given enough energy, could destroy a small planet comparable to the size of the moon.
Now, this terrifying energy, moving faster than one could react, struck Carol directly.
The fearsome beam pierced through the cosmos, disappearing into the farthest reaches visible to the eye.
For several seconds, the light persisted before gradually fading.
"Did we succeed?"
Though thousands of warships were lost in just a brief moment, seeing no sign of Carol in the sky, Ebony Maw breathed a slight sigh of relief.
...
"Wait, what's that?"
However, just as the people on the warship breathed a sigh of relief, they noticed another brilliant streak of light reappearing at the edge of the starry sky where the energy beam vanished.
And it was charging towards them at breakneck speed.
"Oh no, activate the defense systems!"
Ebony Maw's face turned pale, shouting out loud.
Buzz!
Before the energy shield could fully form, the brilliant streak of light rushed towards them at an incredible speed.
All the small fleets rushed forward fearlessly to intercept, but they were crushed instantly, like eggs hitting rocks.
After plowing through thousands of small warships, the streak of light didn't slow down one bit.
It crashed into the largest flagship with a deafening roar.
Boom!
The flagship's shield barely lasted a moment before it was shattered.
And Carol, with her dazzling aura, pierced through the entire warship, leaving behind a massive gaping hole.
After charging out from the other end of the warship, Carol gracefully turned in the void and charged back towards the warship.
Boom!
Under Carol's relentless assaults, the entire warship erupted into countless flames, on the brink of total disintegration.
"General, all systems of the warship have been completely destroyed. What should we do now?"
Amidst the continuous explosions on the warship, all the surviving crew members wore expressions of terror, completely at a loss.
"Those who are still alive, immediately board the escape pods and leave this place."
Ebony Maw, who also survived, glanced angrily at the sky, Carol, now in her binary form, and swiftly used his powerful telekinesis to rush towards the escape pods.
Boom!
Seconds later, a super-sized warship was completely destroyed, exploding into pieces.
However, amidst the fiery explosion, one small warship instantly turned into a streak of light, slipping into a temporal rift, disappearing in an instant.
Watching the disappearing small warship, Carol hesitated for a moment, deciding not to pursue.
"Where did Thanos go?"
Carol pondered over Thanos's whereabouts. After all, she didn't see him appear when she destroyed the warship.
"Let's go back and ask them."
Carol was about to fly back to Earth to inquire about the whereabouts of Hill, Nick Fury, and Thanos.
But suddenly, she felt another disturbance in the nearby space.
Buzz!
As the spatial nodes trembled, a warship suddenly appeared here.
"He dares to come back?"
Anger flashed in Carol's eyes as she once again turned into a streak of light, charging straight towards the warship that had just appeared.
...
"Finally made it back."
After countless instances of space-time travel, Peter, alongside Yondu and others, successfully returned to the vicinity of Earth.
However, just as the others were still dealing with the dizziness brought on by the multiple space-time travels,
They suddenly noticed a brilliant streak of light rapidly charging towards their spaceship.
"Damn, is someone ambushing us?"
This thought crossed almost everyone's minds in an instant.
And Peter's figure vanished from inside the cabin in a blink, appearing outside to meet the incoming brilliant streak of light head-on.
Boom!
Two figures collided in space, creating a terrifying force like comets smashing into each other, instantly erupting into an immensely dazzling light.
"Ah, my eyes!"
Thanos crew members who hadn't managed to close their eyes in time screamed in shock, covering their eyes.
Moments later, when the stellar-like dazzling light faded away,
Everyone looked towards the void again, only to find a single figure standing in space.
"So, it's the Captain Marvel of this universe."
At this moment, Peter's gaze was directed towards the distant cosmic space.
The moment they made contact, he knew the identity of the other party, so he also diminished his own power.
Even so, he still managed to send Carol, in her strongest state, flying across an incredibly vast distance.
"Captain, that sneaky attacker, she's not dead yet!"
Suddenly, Yondu's voice filled with surprise came through.
And at the far end of the universe, another brilliant streak of light reappeared.
The Captain Marvel, who had been sent flying by a powerful force, flew back.
However, this time, Carol did not attack again.
Instead, as she approached Peter, she slowed down until she floated in front of him, looking at Peter with shocked eyes before slowly asking,
"Who... who exactly are you?"
"Me?"
"You can call me Superman!"
...
"You're Superman? Just like in the comics?"
Even after Peter's introduction, Carol still found it hard to believe.
Before she left Earth, she was naturally aware of the hero named Superman in the comics.
But she never imagined that upon her return to Earth, the hero from the comics would actually step into reality.
"I'm sorry, I thought you were with Thanos just now..."
At this moment, Carol realized she had almost attacked her allies.
"Never mind, I'm heading back to Earth to check things out!"
Peter didn't mind these misunderstandings and instantly flew towards Earth.
"This guy, his strength is so formidable?"
Watching Peter vanish in an instant, Carol's eyes revealed an expression of utter surprise.
The encounter just now could be explained by her not using her full strength, which is why she was at a disadvantage.
But seeing Peter's speed surpassing hers by countless times, she finally realized that this Superman was not the ordinary Superman she had in mind.
At least, she, who once felt her strength was comparable to Superman's, now realized she was far from matching the Superman before her.
Meanwhile, Peter had already appeared above Earth, moving as if he had teleported.
Seeing the Earth seemingly unaffected, Peter also felt relieved.
"Hm?"
Suddenly, Peter felt a faint psychic force invading his mind.
"Sorry, Mr. Superman, I'm Professor X."
Peter didn't sense any malice from this somewhat feeble mental force, which seemed only to want to communicate with him, so he didn't stop it.
"Professor X? What can I do for you?"
"Mr. Superman, the Ancient One along with other heroes have managed to hold Thanos off on another planet, but their situation is precarious."
"The Ancient One had foreseen your return and specifically asked me to inform you of their location, hoping you could lend them assistance."
Along with Professor X's voice, the coordinates of a planet also slowly emerged in Peter's mind.
"Thanos, who has already obtained three Infinity Stones?"
To be honest, Peter had no interest in fighting a regular Thanos.
However, a Thanos wielding Infinity Stones seemed like a worthy opponent.
Immediately, a golden void flame burst forth around Peter.
The flames burned through the void, causing the entire space to begin twisting.
The next moment, as space abruptly contracted, Peter's figure disappeared from Earth.
...
Atop a desolate, ruined planet.
At this moment, the surface seemed to have endured the ceaseless brilliance of an unimaginably powerful force.
The ground was riddled with countless bottomless pits.
Even the magma beneath the surface was slowly seeping out.
A crimson aura covered the entire sky, creating an oppressive scene of apocalypse.
Yet, on a relatively intact expanse of land,
A figure with white hair and a long beard fluttering with his movements,
Holding a battle axe that shimmered with thunder, was fighting against a massive purple-skinned titan.
On the left hand of the purple-skinned titan, a golden gauntlet inlaid with four sparkling gems radiated dazzling light.
Crack!
Suddenly, a resplendent thunderbolt exploded with a loud bang.
Among the two combatants, the purple giant was sent flying by the brilliant lightning.
"Phew!"
The aged Thor, after unleashing his power, began to breathe heavily.
He needed the support of his battle axe to stand firm.
On the other side, Thanos, who was sent flying, still had numerous dazzling sparks lingering on him, continuously illuminating his skin.
Even as a tough-skinned Titan, at this moment, he was covered in countless wounds from the enveloping lightning.
Blood flowed over his body as he struggled to rise from the ground.
"Asgardian, I admit, your strength and stubborn will exceed my expectations."
"I respect your previous performance."
Slowly rising from the ground, bearing his heavily wounded body, Thanos continued to approach Thor, his tone filled with respect.
"But, no matter what, you can't defeat me."
"Because I am destiny!"
The next moment, Thanos stopped in his tracks and raised his left hand.
The green gem on the golden gauntlet shone with a rich green light.
Green energy enveloped Thanos's entire body.
The next moment, the injuries on his body began to vanish slowly.
Until a few seconds later, Thanos returned to his prime state.
"No matter what, I will not give up."
Supporting his aged body, Thor gripped his battle axe tightly, his eyes blazing with endless fighting spirit.
Instantly, dazzling thunder surrounded him, emitting an incredibly terrifying might.
However, if one observed closely, they would notice Thor's body seemed unable to withstand such a powerful burst of thunderous divine power anymore.
"Hehe, endless time has enhanced the divine power within you."
"But it also makes your body less and less able to bear it."
"It seems the universe's legend, that the Aesir ultimately die from their own divine power, is not a rumor."
Thanos noticed this detail and smiled slightly, speaking slowly.
"No, my divine power will only kill you, you cruel purple monster!"
The next moment, Thor, without hesitation, unleashed an even more ferocious divine power and charged at Thanos.
"What a pity, I hope when my plan is completed, everyone will remember you."
With a sigh full of respect, Thanos then released the overwhelming power of the Power Stone without hesitation.
Purple energy swirled around Thor.
Originally unable to completely destroy his body, but at this moment, combined with the terrifying divine power inside him that nearly burst his body,
Instantly, cracks appeared on his body and rapidly spread throughout.
Then, under Thor's unwilling gaze,
Thor's body, under the mutual ravage of the Power Stone's force and his own divine power, finally could not withstand and exploded.
The terrifying divine power turned into a visible shockwave of thunder, sweeping out in all directions.
It blasted out of the planet's bounds, sweeping across the entire star system before slowly dissipating.
"This friend, you must be the 'savior' that the Ancient One awaited."
"But unfortunately, it seems you are too late."
After casting another glance at where Thor vanished, Thanos slowly turned his gaze to the void and spoke.
Following Thanos's gaze, a figure gradually emerged in the void.
"Is that so?"
Peter didn't respond to Thanos's words but scanned the surroundings instead.
Looking at the completely shattered vibranium shield on the ground and the numerous scattered bones, one could imagine the intense battle that had occurred here.
"In my view, it's not too late at all!"
The next moment, Peter's gaze shifted to the golden gauntlet on Thanos's left hand, his face calm as he slowly spoke.
"It seems you're quite confident in yourself!"
Thanos also noticed Peter's gaze, lifted his left hand, glanced at the Time Stone that was emitting a green glow, and then looked back at Peter.
"Unfortunately, now, I am the one who is destined by this universe!"
