As a massive figure emerged from the blue wormhole, every eye present was filled with a grave intensity.
"This is Thanos? He indeed carries the majesty of a cosmic overlord."
Nick Fury, having never truly seen Thanos's face before, couldn't help but be shaken by his aura, speaking in a grave tone.
"Director, you must protect yourself at all costs."
Standing by, Captain America, with his shield in hand, also looked gravely at Thanos while reminding Nick Fury.
Even as the head of Earth's elite agents, facing the real cosmic tyrant Thanos, he was naturally outmatched.
"Don't worry, Cap, I know my own capabilities," Nick Fury replied calmly.
"Heh, I think you're all too nervous. This purple-skinned guy, leave him to me alone; that'll be enough."
However, compared to the others who looked tense, only Thor, wielding his axe, maintained a relaxed demeanor from beginning to end.
This was a strong confidence in his own strength. Even facing the cosmic tyrant Thanos, Thor felt no fear.
"Is it you who plan to resist futilely?"
Thanos slowly stepped out of the blue wormhole. His gaze, filled with majesty and oppression, swept over the dozen figures in front of him. Then, looking at them with disdain, he slowly said, "If so, come at me all together!"
"Hmph, you purple monster, don't be too arrogant. I don't need anyone else's help; I can easily take you down myself!"
Faced with Thanos's disdainful gaze, Thor stepped forward angrily from the crowd, ready to challenge Thanos to a duel.
"The Guardian of the Stones, is this your reliance? A stray dog of Asgard, lost and wandering outside?"
Thanos, looking at Thor with the axe, identified his Asgardian heritage with just one glance. Yet, he remained calm, his tone full of provocation.
"Hmph, you purple sweet potato, you have thoroughly angered me now!"
"I will use my axe to chop off that filthy mouth of yours and then shove it up your ass!"
Thor, having spent some time on Earth, naturally picked up some colorful expressions during his online surfing. After speaking, he didn't wait for the others but charged at Thanos with his axe.
"For your life, Thanos!"
As he ran, countless raging lightning bolts appeared around Thor. His body suddenly leaped dozens of meters into the air, his terrifying momentum changing the color of the sky itself.
A dense cloud instantly enveloped the entire sky.
The wild thunder illuminated the world, tearing through the darkness and the void with its might.
Crack!
With the sound of thunder exploding, Thor swung his axe directly at Thanos's head.
"Hmph, perfect timing!"
Thanos, though his tone was full of disdain, could feel Thor's strength and the threat posed by the cosmic weapon in his hand.
If it were before acquiring the Infinity Gauntlet and three Infinity Stones, he might not have been able to easily defeat Thor.
But now, as long as he was wary of the weapon in Thor's hand that could harm him, he could remain invincible.
Boom!
The moment Thor's axe was about to strike Thanos's head, Thanos raised his left hand, and the blue Space Stone on his gauntlet shimmered with a dazzling light.
...
Crack!
In the next moment, Thor, who was about to strike Thanos's head, felt as though his axe had hit an incredibly hard barrier.
The immense force caused the space itself to visibly fracture in an instant.
With spider-web-like cracks spreading throughout, the makeshift spatial barrier constructed in the nick of time shattered loudly.
Simultaneously, it successfully blocked Thor's axe strike.
"I forgot to tell you, not long ago, I met another one like you, a lost dog who escaped from Asgard. He claimed to be the son of Odin, the god of mischief, but unfortunately…"
Thanos, having successfully blocked Thor's strike, spoke calmly, his face devoid of any ripples of emotion, rapidly continuing.
"You're talking about... Loki? Where is he now? What have you done to him?"
Upon hearing Thanos's words, Thor, whose expression was originally filled with rage, instantly changed, asking Thanos with great tension.
To Thor, only Loki and his mother were left now.
"I... did this to him..."
As Thanos spoke slowly, drawing Thor's full attention, the Power Stone on his gauntlet suddenly emitted a dazzling purple glow.
In an instant, a brilliant purple beam erupted from Thanos's gauntlet.
The next moment, it struck Thor, who had his attention diverted, with a booming impact.
The wild purple energy even pierced through the void, sending Thor flying with the sound of space shattering.
He didn't stop until he had breached Earth's atmosphere.
Moreover, the rampant energy continued to spread and invade Thor's body without fully dissipating.
"Thor, that fool, is too reckless!"
The events had occurred in just a flash.
Even if others wanted to help, it was simply too late.
"Now, it's useless to say more. From here on out, it's up to us. We must unite and fight against Thanos together!"
Captain America, clutching his shield, took the lead and charged directly at Thanos.
"Hmph, it should have been this way from the start. Now, I can take care of you all together."
Thanos, looking at the approaching group, not only showed no fear in his eyes but was filled with a desire to battle.
Swoosh!
As he rushed towards Thanos, Captain America threw his shield with all his might.
However, facing the swiftly approaching shield, Thanos simply raised his right hand and threw a punch.
Clang!
With a crisp sound, the shield was sent flying back, even faster than before.
"Damn, he's too strong; it's beyond magnetic attraction."
The specially modified shield retrieval system completely failed at this moment.
"Let me handle this!"
With a loud shout, a black figure suddenly leaped out, positioning himself in front of Captain America.
Clang!
As he raised his hands, he actually caught the shield, which contained a tremendous impact force, though not without difficulty, as evident by the clear marks of being pushed back on the ground.
"Thank you!"
After receiving the shield and expressing his gratitude, Captain America charged towards Thanos once again.
However, this brief delay allowed someone to engage Thanos in combat.
A burly man, radiating a silver metallic luster, didn't hesitate to aim a punch at Thanos's face.
The immense power was daunting.
Yet, Thanos's eyes were filled with disdain.
He raised his right fist again, without hesitation, to meet the attack head-on.
Bang!
The clash of tremendous forces decided the victor in an instant.
The metal-bodied man was sent flying, smashing a boulder hundreds of meters away into dust before finally coming to a stop.
Bang, bang, bang.
Nick Fury hid behind a large rock, holding a silver pistol, and fired several shots at Thanos.
Energy beams shot towards Thanos and struck his face before he could react.
However, these bursts of energy, aside from infuriating Thanos, did nothing to harm his tough exterior.
Angered, Thanos raised his left hand, aiming at Nick Fury as purple light blossomed.
Seeing the danger, Nick Fury didn't hesitate to roll away agilely.
Boom!
The purple beam instantly struck the rock where he had been, exploding violently.
The debris nearly buried Nick Fury's body completely.
But before Thanos could finish him off, another figure charged at him again.
Captain America positioned his shield in front, ready to slam into Thanos with the momentum of his run.
Yet, even in such a rushed situation, Thanos managed to react.
Clenching his fist, he struck hard at Captain America's shield.
Clang!
The shield's kinetic energy-absorbing properties were pushed to their limit.
Yet the tremendous force, far beyond what it could withstand, still sent Captain America flying backward, unable to even hold onto his shield.
...
"Charles..."
From afar, the voice of Magneto boomed as he called out.
Simultaneously, the shield that slipped from his grasp in mid-air was seized by a formidable force and redirected towards Thanos. Its sharp edge aimed directly for Thanos' neck in a deadly slice.
Thanos, noticing the shield flying towards him, was about to deflect it with his power.
But suddenly, the scene before his eyes transformed dramatically.
"Is this... Titan, as it once was?"
Surrounded by the familiar environment, a mix of confusion and reminiscence flickered in Thanos' gaze.
However, the next moment, he snapped back to reality.
Outside the illusion, the glove on his left hand shimmered with a yellow light, making the surrounding phantasm vanish instantly.
"Hisss! The Mind Stone..."
Far away, Professor X, with his fingers pressed to his temples, felt as if his mind had been hammered, instantly losing his mental grip on Thanos. Sweat formed on his brow.
In their universe, their victory over Thanos was significantly attributed to the absence of the Mind Stone.
"Erik, the power of the Mind Stone is too overwhelming. I may not be able to aid you further."
It took a while for Professor X to feel somewhat better, but he spoke apologetically to Magneto standing beside him.
"Don't worry, leave this to us."
"Magneto, please..."
After ensuring Professor X's safety, Magneto then called out to the Ancient One not far away.
Understanding, the Ancient One nodded and waved her arm, creating a ring of light beside Professor X, transporting him back to Earth.
Seeing his dear friend injured and leaving the battlefield, Magneto's anger surged.
With rage fueling him, he unleashed the full potential of his Alpha-level mutant power.
Defying gravity, he floated gently in the air and spread his arms wide as if embracing the earth itself.
Boom!
The planet's surface began to tremble, as if a gigantic creature was about to emerge from beneath the ground.
"Everyone, fall back!"
As the tremors intensified, Magneto commanded everyone to retreat.
In the next moment, behind Magneto, the ground was lifted in an instant.
At this moment, with Magneto unleashing his full power, he managed to lift the planet's surface.
Without hesitation, he manipulated the massive slab of earth, hurling it directly at Thanos.
"Hmph!"
Watching the oppressive boulder hurtling towards him, Thanos' expression remained unchanged.
He simply lifted his left hand, the Power Stone on the glove radiating a dazzling purple light.
Instantly, before even touching Thanos, the boulder began to crackle with purple sparks.
The rock started to disintegrate amidst the sparkling light.
In just moments, a rock that was thousands of meters in diameter disintegrated under the immense power of the Power Stone, turning into countless smaller boulders.
Like a meteor shower, they continuously crashed onto the ground.
With a casual swipe, Thanos deflected several boulders aimed at him and looked up at Magneto in the air, lifting his left hand again.
Purple and blue energies flickered, and on a satellite hundreds of thousands of kilometers away, a violent purple lightning bolt erupted, spreading across the entire surface.
Boom!
The satellite exploded, turning into numerous asteroids that, defying space, appeared instantly in the sky of this planet.
Like a fiery meteor shower, they indiscriminately bombarded every person present.
...
Meanwhile, as Thanos clashed with Earth's mightiest heroes, a dazzling streak of light cut across the space above the planet. Like a brilliant meteor, it descended directly into the heart of the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in New York.
"Where's Nick Fury? What on Earth has happened?"
A woman, dressed in a unique uniform with a golden star shining brightly on her chest and long hair, urgently inquired among the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel.
"Who are you? Why have you barged into S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
All the agents instinctively drew their weapons, aiming at the newcomer.
"Hold on, everyone, lower your weapons!"
Suddenly, a voice rang out. Agent Hill hurried forward, addressing everyone present.
"You must be Ms. Carol Danvers, right? Nick Fury has mentioned you to me."
Hill approached Carol with a welcoming smile.
"Hello, I'm Carol. Where's Nick Fury? Why the urgent recall?"
Carol's expression remained tense, her concerns directed towards Hill.
"Nick Fury recalled you because Earth is under a massive threat from the cosmos."
"Today, Thanos and his fleet invaded Earth and stole the Tesseract!"
Agent Hill, understanding the gravity of the situation, spared no detail.
"What? Thanos? Him again?"
Carol, a guardian of peace in the universe, was well aware of Thanos's notoriety. She had been on the trail of this cosmic menace, aware that he was collecting Infinity Stones across the universe.
To her, Earth's targeting by Thanos was undoubtedly due to the Infinity Stone within the Tesseract.
"You really should have kept that Tesseract locked away in Goose's belly forever!"
After her remark, Carol didn’t hesitate; she soared into the sky, heading straight for Thanos's warship in space.
"Too bad, Thanos doesn't seem to be here!"
"But destroying his fleet will have to do."
Sensing the absence of Thanos's presence on the warship, Carol felt a twinge of disappointment mixed with the thrill of a covert attack.
