"I... Am I seeing things? How come it looks like someone is floating outside the spaceship!"
"This... How is that possible?"
At this moment, everyone on the spaceship, watching the figure floating in space, shining with dazzling golden light, full of mystery and oppression, felt incredibly shocked.
Some even couldn't help rubbing their eyes, as if seeing an illusion.
"Captain, he's so powerful, what should we do now?"
After the shock, all the crew members couldn't help but look at Captain Valor in front of them, waiting for his instructions.
"This guy, who on earth is he?"
At this moment, Captain Valor felt even more complex than the others.
The figure floating in space in front of him made him feel a strong sense of oppression just by looking at it.
He didn't know when such a powerful figure had appeared in the universe.
"Captain, since he's turning the tables and robbing us now, should we just open fire on him directly?"
Feeling the increasingly oppressive atmosphere, a crew member couldn't help but suggest to Captain Valor.
"Humph, do you want to go out and fight him and bring him in?"
Captain Valor turned around, facing the guy who made the suggestion with a serious expression.
"Me?"
The crew member pointed at himself, his face full of shock.
"Captain, don't joke with me, let's forget about it..."
Then he shook his head vigorously; it was impossible for him to beat that guy outside.
"You know it too!"
Captain Valor glared at the guy coldly.
Since he knew the person outside was very powerful, suggesting such a foolish idea was not acceptable.
Because if they chose to open fire now, it would truly be a fight to the death.
"Captain, why don't we find an opportunity... to escape?"
Watching the figure outside the spaceship, finally, one crew member couldn't hide his fear and proposed to escape.
"I also want to escape, but how can we escape now?"
As the captain, in order to maintain his own authority, he wouldn't usually suggest escaping in any situation.
Every time they encountered danger before, it was always his crew members who proposed escaping first, and he reluctantly agreed.
But now, even if he wanted to reluctantly agree, he was afraid it would be impossible.
Because the figure outside the spaceship at this moment had just pushed a spaceship, traveling at superluminal speed, across the universe.
Faced with such a powerful existence, they had almost no chance of escaping.
"Forget it, let's resign ourselves to fate."
Countless thoughts flashed through Captain Valor's mind.
But he found that at this moment, besides surrendering, there seemed to be no other choice at all. Perhaps surrendering could save their lives.
"Open the hatch and let him in."
After hesitating for a moment, Captain Valor finally made a decision.
For himself, and for all the crew members on the ship.
"Captain..."
Hearing Captain Valor's words, some crew members showed a hint of hesitation on their faces, while more of them secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Faced with the powerful and mysterious figure outside the spaceship, they had already lost the confidence to fight against him.
"Later, I advise everyone to be honest. Keeping your own life is more important than anything else!"
Before opening the hatch and becoming captives, Captain Valor couldn't help but warn.
He was afraid that there might be someone stubborn among his crew members who would provoke the guy outside.
...
"Consider yourselves fortunate."
Soon, as the hatch opened, Peter successfully entered the spaceship.
"Friend, I'm sorry, it was all a misunderstanding just now, just a misunderstanding."
Watching Peter walk into the spaceship, Valor's face instantly lit up with a bright smile, but his rotten tooth made it lose its charm.
"Misunderstanding? No, no, no, I heard with my own ears that you were planning to rob me just now."
Peter curiously surveyed the various facilities and vast space inside the spaceship.
A satisfied expression appeared on his face.
"Not bad, not bad, this spaceship, barely qualifies as my ride."
There was no doubt that Peter now considered this spaceship as his own property.
"Now, I declare that this spaceship, and all of you, belong to me from this moment on!"
Ignoring the expressions of everyone on the spaceship, Peter casually declared.
"This..."
The smile on Valor's face froze instantly, becoming somewhat unsightly.
He originally thought that by paying some price, even by giving up this expensive spaceship they had purchased, they could buy their lives and freedom.
Even if the price was huge, they still had the possibility of buying another spaceship elsewhere and making a fresh start.
But now...
"This... sir."
"Just call me Peter."
After Peter finished introducing himself, he unhesitatingly walked towards the center of the spaceship.
"Mr. Peter, can we discuss this again? We will hand over this spaceship and all its belongings to you as compensation for offending you."
Valor and the other crew members followed behind Peter, cautiously proposing.
"As for us, please show mercy and let us go."
Valor smiled obsequiously, hoping Peter would spare them.
"Let you go? Sorry, I don't want to pilot this spaceship alone."
"But, it's not entirely impossible..."
After saying this, Peter's face revealed a hint of anticipation.
"If any of you dare to resist, I can personally throw him out of this spaceship!"
Casually sitting in the seat that originally belonged to Captain Valor, Peter looked at the people below, a smile appearing on his face.
But his words couldn't help but send chills down the hearts of everyone.
"This..."
Suddenly, all the crew members fell silent, looking at each other, and finally their gazes fell on Valor, whose expression was extremely ugly.
"Underlings, pay homage to the new captain!"
Suddenly, a clever crew member kneeled without hesitation, cheering loudly.
"Hail to the new captain!"
The next moment, the other crew members around them also understood, one by one paying homage to the new captain.
Instantly, only Valor and his few trusted crew members were still hesitating.
"What, you don't agree?"
Peter looked at Valor and the others who were still standing, his eyes becoming somewhat cold, and even a bright crimson light slowly emanated from his pupils. (Don't ask why it's not golden; red creates more pressure.)
"Captain, don't hesitate!"
Finally, facing Peter's red-eyed and oppressive presence, someone among Valor's trusted men couldn't bear such strong pressure and chose to submit, just like the others.
At the same time, he tugged at Valor's clothes, trying to make him see the reality.
However, even though soon all the crew members around Valor had already prostrated themselves on the ground, choosing to submit to Peter,
Valor himself still persisted.
As a former captain, he didn't blame his subordinates for fearing the strong and becoming fence-sitters.
But he himself had a stubbornness and dignity in his heart that prevented him from easily submitting to others.
"Hehe, looks like you're hesitating whether to whistle or not, right?"
Looking at Valor, who was both stubborn and hesitant, Peter seemed to see through his thoughts.
"How did you know?"
Valor was shocked.
His dignity prevented him from submitting to others, and he had even prepared to whistle and call for a desperate fight against Peter.
However, he hesitated, fearing that his ambush might not succeed and might enrage Peter.
Killing him was not a problem, but he also had to vent his anger on his former crew members.
"In that case, I'll give you a fair chance for a challenge. If you can hurt me, I'll let all of you go!"
The next moment, Peter suddenly smiled and retracted the crimson light emanating from his eyes, slowly saying.
"Really?"
Valor's heart was overjoyed?
Then he gradually became solemn.
"This guy is extremely powerful. I must ensure a one-shot kill!"
He knew beforehand that Peter could survive in the harsh environment of space.
His physique was definitely far superior to everyone else.
Although his Yaka arrow was made of one of the hardest metals in the universe.
But he still didn't have enough confidence to hurt the guy in front of him.
"Unless I hit the weakest point on his body!"
Valor carefully observed Peter's body.
He found that almost his entire body was wrapped in a special metallic battle suit.
The toughness of the skin hidden underneath was unknown, but the metallic battle suit on the surface indicated that this was not a good choice.
Immediately, Valor's gaze fell on Peter's face, which was not covered by the battle suit.
He made a decision in an instant.
"Look outside, what's that?"
Suddenly, CouraValorge, with a surprised expression, looked out of the spaceship window next to him, as if he had discovered something terrifying.
"What's out there?"
The other crew members were actually attracted by Valor's words and looked out of the spaceship window curiously, asking.
"Damn it... Why does that bastard Star-Lord succeed every time he uses this trick, while I completely fail when I use it?"
As Valor looked at Peter, who remained unmoved, he cursed his crew for being idiots, and at the same time, he hesitated to blow the whistle.
"Hush!"
With a crisp whistle.
With a chirp!
With a clear whistle.
An arrow emitting a sparkling red light, like a brilliant meteor, instantly crossed the spaceship space and rushed towards Peter's face.
"Great!"
Valor, who was fully controlling the Yaka arrow, looked at the Yaka arrow shooting towards Peter's eye with great joy, while Peter seemed to have a stunned expression, completely unresponsive.
"How is this possible?"
However, the next moment, when the Yaka arrow was less than a centimeter away from Peter's left eye, Valor found that no matter how he concentrated his mind to control it, he couldn't make the Yaka arrow advance even a bit.
Suddenly, Peter raised his right hand, precise in catching the Yaka arrow about to hit him.
"Too bad, it seems your challenge has failed!"
Peter held the Yaka arrow, shimmering with red light, and casually said to Valor.
"No... This can't be!"
Valor couldn't accept it. His full-strength blow, which he had gathered all his energy for, couldn't even touch Peter.
"Perhaps you still feel unconvinced. Let me put your doubts to rest once and for all."
The next moment, Peter held the Yaka arrow in his hand.
According to Valor's previous thoughts, he decisively thrust it towards his left eye.
Clang! Crack!
"How... is this possible?"
However, amidst everyone's disbelief, the Yaka arrow that suddenly stabbed towards Peter's left eye, accompanied by a crisp metallic collision, unexpectedly broke in the middle.
The arrowhead emitting a red light was deformed.
"Now, does anyone among you still not agree? You can step forward!"
Peter casually threw the remaining half of the Yaka arrow in his hand to Valor's feet.
His eyes slowly emanated a red light again, staring at everyone.
"Hail, Captain!"
"Hail, Captain!"
At this moment, as a clever crew member shouted, all the crew members reacted, their eyes filled with frantic shouts.
They admired the strong, which is why they recognized Valor as their captain.
But now, they have witnessed a more powerful existence than Valor with their own eyes.
This moment made them not just grudgingly accept, but genuinely respect Peter as their new captain!
"My Yaka arrow!"
At this moment, Valor slowly knelt down, picked up the half of the Yaka arrow under his feet, and raised his head with a shocked expression, looking at the powerful and mysterious figure where he used to belong.
In the end, he didn't stand up again.
"Cough, it should be repairable..."
Looking at Valor's saddened eyes, Peter coughed lightly.
It didn't seem honorable to destroy his subordinates' weapons right after taking office.
However, the effect of establishing his authority was obvious.
Except for Valor, who might still have some reluctance, everyone else had completely submitted to him.
"Perhaps, being a captain of space plunderers for a while would also be a good experience."
"Now, I am the man who will become the Pirate King of the Universe!"
At this moment, Peter suddenly remembered a figure wearing a straw hat.
...
"Captain, this is all our current supplies and funds."
"Yondo, are you sure you're not lying to me?"
Looking at Yondo's helpless expression, Peter wore an expression that said, "You better not be lying to me."
Originally full of ambition, ready to become the Pirate King of the Universe, Peter discovered that being a marauder captain wasn't as easy or glamorous as he thought.
Because as he came to understand, the marauder gang was a complete mess internally.
Apart from this relatively glamorous medium-sized warship, not only was there not much stored wealth, but there were even outstanding fines for failed missions.
And the remaining supplies were pitifully scarce, probably only enough to last for less than a month.
"Well, it seems that the only goal now is to stir up trouble and make money."
As a "responsible" captain, Peter was ready to start making money.
Moreover, although this warship looked very glamorous to Peter, much stronger than his own ship that needed him to push it, according to Yondo's introduction, it seemed to be just an ordinary medium-sized spacecraft.
On it, there were even more advanced large and extra-large spacecraft.
There were even custom-made spacecraft, as large as a small planet.
"Captain, if you want to make money quickly, of course, you have to plunder!"
"Yes, there's nothing faster than plundering for making money!"
Seeing Peter lost in thought, several lackey-like crew members beside him instantly began to advise him.
"Captain, although they're not wrong, plundering always comes with risks, just like earlier..."
Yondo wanted to persuade Peter but suddenly felt a bit awkward and stopped.
"Hehe, only those without strength would find plundering risky. As for me, risk is impossible."
Peter was very confident, and he had the strength to back it up.
"Captain, I know a guy who's very rich and has collected many treasures highly prized throughout the universe."
Hearing Peter's words, an excited crew member reported the information he had obtained.
"That guy is called the Collector, and he's in the most famous chaotic area of the universe, the Void of Nullity(Knowhere)!"
"Captain, I think you should consider it."
After hearing this, even Yondo couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. The Collector indeed possessed endless wealth.
But being able to stand firm in the Knowhere, that chaotic place, definitely required a certain level of strength.
Previously, he wouldn't dare to provoke such an existence.
"The Collector? Knowhere..."
Muttering slowly, information about the Collector also appeared in Peter's mind.
In the comics, he was indeed a very powerful ancient god.
But it was unclear what his status was in this universe.
"Hehe, then he's the one."
The next moment, Peter's face became determined.
"All crew members, prepare to set sail... um... start the spacecraft."
"Destination: the Knowhere, full speed ahead!"
Under Peter's instructions, the spacecraft directly entered a space jump and disappeared in an instant.
