[Genshin Impact] Chapter 97: Defeating a Some 'Powerful' Enemies
🕑 Added 2024-03-09 15:30:59 +0000 UTCAmong the two types of slimes below the depression, there was a large slime in each category, making it a bit challenging for Ellin to handle on her own.
Moreover, with an abundance of water elements there, it was perfect for the display of lightning elements. Fischl gathered her power and unleashed a charged shot.
The entire pool of water crackled with lightning. The water slimes facing the lightning attack could hardly resist, and two small water slimes quickly burst open under the pressure!
The large one barely held on until the lightning elements were depleted, but it was already on its last legs. Nolan took the opportunity to fire an armor-piercing arrow, delivering the final blow.

Swiftly defeating the water slimes inevitably alerted the rock slimes.
However, given their intelligence, their first reaction wasn't to flee but to angrily attack Nolan and the others!
However, by the time they bounced up the slope from below the depression, Nolan and the others had plenty of time to easily deal with these geo slimes.
A soft smile curved Fischl's lips, and she slightly lifted her fair chin, saying,
"Hmph! Witness the might of the Immernachtreich's Thundering Smite!"
She suddenly recalled Oz, the night raven, and then looked towards the group of geo slimes.
With her right hand clad in black silk sleeves that exposed her palms, she gently clenched it. A night raven formed of shadows and lightning once again descended from the Dark Realm, bringing with it the thunderous judgment.
The geo slimes were instantly blasted away by the force of the thunder, and even their rock armor, which was unresponsive to lightning elements, was easily shattered!
Some purple energy orbs were born from the use of elemental skills, floating towards Fischl's body, being absorbed by her.
She had previously used up her stored elemental energy during the integrated flight with the night raven, so now she could accumulate some elemental energy by using elemental skills.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have a readily available elemental burst.
Fischl's Elemental Skill "Nightrider" allowed her to summon Oz at a designated location when he was absent, unleashing a devastating electro strike on her foes - a cunning tactic for an ambush.
After the rock armor shattered, the geo slimes couldn't reassemble themselves in a short time.
For geo slimes, without their rock armor on top, they felt insecure and immediately began to panic and retreat.
Their soft and bouncy bodies, hopping and running back, were quite amusing!
Fischl's soft legs, wrapped in black stockings, parted slightly, and her arms and shoulders straightened as she pulled the bowstring.
Looking down the underside of her arm, she once again saw the smooth white armpits and the soft, round curves of her chest.
Before Fischl could unleash her thunderous attack, Nolan quickly defeated the large slime with two consecutive arrows.

"Hey! How dare a mere attendant steal the Princess' quarry!" Fischl huffed, her emerald eyes glaring at Nolan in some dissatisfaction.
Cough... Your Highness, as an attendant, it's my duty to share your burdens. How can I trouble you to take action for such a trivial matter..." Nolan tried to brush it off.
In fact, there was no need to be overly secretive with Fischl. After all, it was normal for people to have some secrets, and as a friend, she would surely understand not to delve too deeply.
Being too obvious in covering up would only make oneself appear too concerned, which would create resentment among everyone, and one couldn't afford to accidentally lower the favorability rating.
"Hmph~ Why didn't you say that just now!" Fischl put away her bow and arrows, her hands clasped under her chest, lifting her fair chin, with a very satisfied look on her face.

He thought with a chuckle that what she said and what she thought were completely different...
Speaking of which, this scene seemed familiar, as if it had happened before.
"Ellin, I'll leave those two remaining slimes to you!" Nolan smiled and said.
"Sure thing, leave it to me!" Ellin replied happily.
The EXPs provided by the two small slimes weren't much, so they could continue to be handed over to Eileen for practice.
After the rock helmets of the small geo slimes were shattered, they seemed weaker than the water slimes. After all, the latter had water attacks, while the former just fled when scared.
So Ellin quickly dealt with them, once again putting her studies into practice and gaining more experience in dealing with enemies. With these, Ellin didn't feel like she wasted the pocket money she had saved up for so long.
"Let's go, let's see if we can dig out those ores below," Nolan said excitedly.
"Huh?" Eileen collected all the Slime Condensate that had fallen from the defeated Slimes, and heard Nolan's words, and asked with a slight bit of doubt, "But, you have to have a tool if you want to dig out the ores, right?"
Ellin was right.
To mine crystal ores, one needed excavation tools. As a last resort, heavy weapons like greatswords could be used to smash them and collect them.
However, in doing so, the parts of the crystal ores buried underground couldn't be collected, and besides, they didn't have anyone proficient in using two-handed weapons.
"Don't worry about that, Miss has quite a complete set of exploration-related items." Oz, flapping his night-winged feathers, reassured them.
"That's right!"
Fischl flipped her fair palm, and a wooden-handled iron shovel appeared, which she then inserted into the damp soil of the cave.
"This is the tool for excavating treasures that this princess uses in this world. The only treasure originating from the Evernight Kingdom!"
She stood on the foothold of the shovel, wearing black ankle boots, and released the shovel, embracing her chest covered with meshed black silk, glancing at Nolan, and continued, "Hmph~ My attendant, do not let such divine artifacts go to waste!"
"What Miss means is that there's only one shovel, so the mining task can only be left to you, Sir Nolan." Oz reiterated as usual.
"Uh..."
Nolan paused, looked at Ellin, and noticed her slightly blushing face. Then, she silently averted her gaze, shifting it to the ground.
Little Amy even gazed at him confidently with her beautiful eyes, as if saying with a righteous air, with an attendant present, there was no need for the princess herself to take action!
Well, since there was only one shovel, as a guy, it really wasn't appropriate to let a girl take the lead.
The three carefully descended the slope towards the depression ahead.
The moss-covered mountain wall blocking the end was slightly greenish due to the abundance of moisture, and slightly greenish crystals seemed to "grow" in the crevices where the mountain wall met the ground.
These clear objects from the earth were valuable materials for making weapons and could also be forged into "Fine Forged Magical Ores" to strengthen weapons. They were very practical ores.
The market price was probably between 1,500 to 2,000 Mora per piece, and there generally wasn't much fluctuation within this range.
And now, there were quite a few crystal ores here. After a rough estimate, their value was not low. Thinking of this, Nolan plunged the iron shovel into the soil next to a crystal ore and began to excavate.
