[Superman] Chapter 94: Breaking the Limits of the Universe, Breaking the Cosmic Barrier (3-in-1 Chapter)
🕑 Added 2024-03-03 07:27:39 +0000 UTC"What's going on? Why have we suddenly come here?"
The dozen or so figures that suddenly appeared glanced at each other, obviously not clear about the current situation.
Moreover, among them, some were old friends who knew each other well, while others were former enemies.
But at this moment, they were inexplicably brought together.
"Damn, how am I suddenly flying?"
Logan, with a cigar in his mouth, looked in astonishment at the void beneath his feet, not knowing how he suddenly awakened the mutant ability to fly.
"Strange? What's going on? How did you end up like this?"
Clad in silver armor, shining all over, another universe's Iron Man Tony couldn't help but ask the ancient Doctor Strange.
"Perhaps I can answer your questions."
Before Doctor Strange could explain, the bald old man sitting in a wheelchair, his eyes shining with wisdom, slowly spoke, attracting everyone's attention.
"Charles? Do you know what's going on?"
Wearing a special metal helmet, Magneto couldn't help but ask his old friend.
"Now, our universe is facing a huge threat at the most critical moment."
"In this battle, we have no choice but to face it. Otherwise, our universe will be completely destroyed..."
His powerful psychic abilities allowed him to perceive all the thoughts in Doctor Strange's mind at this moment.
However, all of this also made Professor X feel unacceptable.
It turned out that their universe was about to collapse, and Doctor Strange had summoned all of them here to fight for the entire universe.
However, kind-hearted Professor X couldn't accept the fact that protecting their own universe required sacrificing countless lives in another universe.
But at such a critical moment, he could only set aside his inner kindness and, using his powerful psychic abilities, share everything Doctor Strange had done with everyone present.
"What? Our universe is about to be destroyed? We can only devour the reality of this universe to prevent our universe from collapsing?"
At this moment, everyone was shocked by the sudden appearance of information in their minds.
Perhaps anyone who suddenly realized that their universe was facing a life-and-death situation would not be able to remain calm.
Even though they were all renowned superheroes on Earth.
"Hehe, Doctor Strange, do you think that they alone can stop me?"
Casually glancing at the sudden appearance of a dozen or so figures.
Among them were familiar heroes that he once greatly admired.
But now, among the people protecting their respective universes, a terrifying cosmic battle was bound to erupt.
However, Peter seemed to completely disregard these suddenly appearing heroes.
"Are you the guardians of another universe?"
Without waiting for Doctor Strange to speak, Tony, wearing a high-profile silver battle suit, flew directly to Peter's side, looking at him arrogantly.
"I advise you to give up. Here, we have almost all the most powerful superheroes in the entire universe assembled, and you, as a single person, have no chance!"
"Tony Stark, you are even more arrogant and annoying than the version of you in our universe."
Peter hardly hesitated at all.
He clenched his fist and rushed toward the Iron Man in front of him.
Peter's speed was so fast that almost no one could react.
"Quick, get out of the way!"
With everyone completely unable to stop him, Peter's fist directly struck Iron Man.
In an instant, the space collapsed, and the special armor worn by Iron Man had no resistance at all, directly crumbling.
"No, this can't be possible?"
At the moment when the armor shattered, a fiery red light seemed to appear in Tony's body, as if releasing a powerful energy.
Unfortunately, under Peter's power strong enough to destroy planets, it was useless.
The next moment, along with Iron Man's body radiating with flames, it completely dissipated into the universe.
"How... how is this possible?"
Countless heroes looked at the unforgettable scene before them, their eyes filled with shock.
Although Iron Man was a representative figure of arrogance and conceit in their universe, everyone present also admired his abilities.
The numerous special armors he created gave him strength comparable to that of a god, transforming him from an ordinary human into a powerful being.
He even injected himself with the Extremis virus to improve the weaknesses of his frail body.
However, now he couldn't even withstand a single punch from that guy.
"Is there anyone else? Who wants to stop me?"
Peter's gaze was cold as he scanned the dozen or so figures below.
...
"Our Iron Man is dead again."
Outside the universe, the observer who witnessed Iron Man's instant death through the cosmic barrier couldn't help but sigh.
He had lost count of how many Iron Man from different universes had met an untimely death.
"Everyone, don't hesitate anymore. The battle for survival between universes knows no right or wrong, only victory or defeat."
While everyone was still immersed in the shocking scene before them, the ancient Doctor Strange suddenly spoke, awakening everyone.
The next moment, countless golden lights enveloped everyone present, turning into magical runes that merged into their bodies.
"This is the last thing I can do for you. For our universe, please hold on until the very end."
"The light of the sun will illuminate our Earth once again!"
After Doctor Strange finished speaking, his entire body suddenly burst with terrifying dark energy.
"His legs..."
Accompanied by a gasp, everyone saw Doctor Strange's body not only aged beyond recognition but also looked like a dried-up corpse.
Even from his feet, his physical body was decaying rapidly.
"He sacrificed his own life to accelerate the release of magic."
Professor X's face was full of sadness.
"As long as we can hold on until his body completely disappears, our war will be declared victorious."
But he obviously knew that now was not the time to mourn for Doctor Strange.
They still had to go and stop the enemy who was destroying the fusion of universes.
"In that case, for the sake of protecting our universe, I, Peggy Carter, will not hesitate."
Suddenly, the woman with the round shield stepped forward and made the decision first. Flames sprayed out from the flight pack on her back as she rushed towards Peter without hesitation.
After what had just happened when Iron Man was obliterated with a single punch, everyone present understood the kind of monster they were facing.
However, Captain Carter still had no hesitation.
"Damn it, why did this happen? My child is still in another universe."
Magneto was filled with grief and anger. He had finally found his child, only to have such a thing happen before he could enjoy the hard-won family relationship.
Seeing this scene, the other hesitant people also understood that even for the sake of their universe, they had to face this special war.
The next moment, almost as if they had agreed in advance, they all rushed towards Peter together.
"Sorry, but your opponents now are us!"
However, just when everyone had ignored him, assuming he was an unknown hero from their universe, the Ancient One suddenly stood alone in front of everyone.
Then, without hesitation, she used the Mirror Dimension magic.
Crack!
With the sound of a shattered mirror, before anyone could evade, they were enveloped by the Mirror Dimension and disappeared from the real world.
...
Crack!
However, in less than a second, accompanied by another sound of the mirror shattering, a woman radiating dazzling light broke through the Mirror Dimension with a punch and rushed out first.
And before the Mirror Dimension closed, several figures also rushed out behind her.
As the Mirror Dimension closed, ultimately, more than half of the people were trapped inside.
"For our universe!"
The figures rushing out of the Mirror Dimension glanced at each other, then with determined faces, they once again charged towards Peter.
"You are all heroes guarding the universe, but now, it's regrettable that for the sake of my universe, this has to happen."
If he could, Peter didn't want to engage in this cosmic battle.
But now, everything was unavoidable.
Each of them, for their own universe, had reached a point of no return.
And Peter, would never give up his own universe.
Putting away all his thoughts, Peter instantly gathered terrifying energy.
The next moment, without hesitation, he threw a punch at the astonished Captain Carter who was charging towards him.
Under the burst of terrifying power.
Similarly immensely powerful, capable of destroying planets, the light shining from Captain Carter's body was instantly extinguished.
The fused magical runes within his body flashed, but they only resisted for a moment before being completely crushed by the powerful force.
Crumbling alongside them were Captain Marvel and several other figures who had rushed towards Peter.
Even the alternate universe reality shrouded in darkness below was blasted open by this terrifying punch, leaving behind a massive hole.
"You still cannot stop me!"
Watching as Doctor Strange's body was already halfway gone, Peter no longer hesitated.
He directly gathered his strongest power, and under the convergence of immense energy, his body turned into a dazzling gold.
The next moment, with Peter enveloped in golden light, he slowly pushed the red hexagonal sphere representing the entire universe.
Crack!
Accompanied by the terrifying power bursting from Peter in an instant.
A crisp sound echoed throughout the entire universe.
The two merging universe realities were abruptly separated at this moment.
In the next moment, Peter was already pushing Doctor Strange, wrapped in the barriers of the universe, turning into a stream of light and rushing into the void.
His speed directly reached an almost immeasurable level.
Crack!
As Peter's speed increased, it seemed to have reached the limit the universe could withstand.
In an instant, a sound of space tearing erupted, and Peter instantly broke through the barriers of the universe, truly transcending the single universe dimension and arriving outside the universe.
He found himself in the void space between many individual universes.
Meanwhile, on Earth at this moment, accompanied by a sound of shattered mirrors.
The Mirror Dimension was completely shattered.
With the combined efforts of many heroes from another Earth, they finally defeated the Ancient One.
Professor X also used his most powerful psychic abilities to control the Ancient One and dispel the spatial magic.
However, when they returned to reality in the next moment.
They knew it was already too late.
"We... we have ultimately lost! And the cost is the entire universe."
Everyone fell into silence, finding it hard to accept the impending doom of their universe.
"My children, your father is incompetent, unable to save you."
Magneto had experienced countless wars between humans and mutants, but this time, he was most powerless.
...
"You actually... you really did it!"
Outside the universe, a voice full of astonishment suddenly sounded in Peter's ears.
Peter turned around to see a guy with a huge head.
"You've successfully changed the fate of your universe, which was destined to be consumed. This is truly... incredible!"
"In the countless universe realities I've observed, this is the first time I've seen such a scene."
"Your power has surpassed the limits of individual universes. You can break through the barriers of the universe and roam freely among countless multiverse."
The Big Head looked at Peter with incredulous eyes, as if trying to discern how he acquired such immense power.
"What, are you going to stop me too?"
Peter's gaze turned icy as he looked at the guy. If he dared to stop him, even if he was the famous Watcher, Peter would not hesitate to take him down.
"No... How could I stop you? I once swore not to interfere with the development of each universe. My duty is only to observe and record."
The Watcher shook his head repeatedly, indicating that he wouldn't intervene with Peter.
"I hope so!"
Peter wasn't sure if he could trust him. How could he not know that the Watcher in front of him had actually intervened in the realities of some universes? But for now, as long as he didn't interfere with him, it was fine.
At this moment, Peter turned his gaze back to the hexahedron representing another universe.
But he found that it was already covered with cracks.
It seemed that it would not be able to hold up and would shatter completely in the next moment.
Suddenly, a faint yellow figure emerged from the cracks on it.
Floating in front of Peter.
"I didn't expect... I ultimately failed."
"Perhaps... I shouldn't have chosen the universe you're in."
Appearing in front of Peter again, Doctor Strange's consciousness had let go of the animosity between them. There was a trace of regret in his calm expression.
If he had the chance to choose again, he would definitely not choose to consume Peter's universe.
But unfortunately, this was something he couldn't predict or control.
"No, this is destiny."
Suddenly, The Watcher spoke up.
"But in the original fate, you were suppo..."
The Watcher's words abruptly stopped because Peter's cold gaze was already fixed on him.
Even as an Observer who transcended individual universes, at this moment, he felt enveloped in an aura of death.
"Mr. Superman, before I completely fade away, can I ask you for one thing?"
As Doctor Strange's fading figure became increasingly dim, he pleaded with Peter.
"What is it?"
Peter didn't refuse. There wasn't much animosity between him and Doctor Strange; they just had different perspectives.
"I hope... you can accept those who have crossed over from our universe to yours. They are innocent and fortunate..."
During the universe fusion, there was almost no barrier between the realities of the two universes.
In fact, in addition to the dozen or so heroes summoned by Doctor Strange, there were countless "crossers" who came to Peter's universe.
They were lucky to escape the crisis of their own universe's destruction.
"Rest assured, as long as they abide by the rules of our universe, I won't be so ruthless."
Peter couldn't say he was merciful, but he definitely wasn't a ruthless being.
"Thank you..."
After getting the answer he wanted, Doctor Strange's figure became increasingly dim, and finally disappeared completely.
Boom!
Suddenly, cracks covered the entire surface of the hexahedron representing a single universe.
In the moment when Doctor Strange completely disappeared, it couldn't hold on anymore and burst open.
Countless fragments with the images of universes flew in the void, blooming into an extremely beautiful moment, but heralding the end of a universe.
"I won, even though I destroyed a universe."
Looking at the shattered universe and the fleeting, magnificent scene it formed, he had no regrets about his actions.
Then, without hesitation, he plunged back into his own universe.
...
