[Superman] Chapter 89: The Arrival of Dormammu on Earth (2-in-1 Chapter)
🕑 Added 2024-03-03 05:19:52 +0000 UTC"Alright, I also want to see how the space station you guys built looks like!"
Peter didn't refuse either; after all, he had played a part in the construction of this space station.
Hmm... Although he didn't participate in the design and construction process of the space station.
But after all, he was the one who pushed it into space.
If things were normal, a space station weighing tens of thousands of tons would probably be beyond the capabilities of any country to send into space at this moment.
So, Peter's importance was undoubtedly paramount.
Soon, including several old members, they entered the interior of the space station through the teleportation door.
The first thing that caught their eyes was a huge control room.
"Mr. Superman, this is where the entire spacecraft... the control room of the space station, is operated."
"Of course, under normal circumstances, the entire space station is operated by our artificial intelligence. Only in rare cases does it require manual operation."
As the chief responsible for the space station project, no one understood everything about this space station better than Reed.
"And, the teleportation doors can be used to transport to more than just this place. Within the entire space station, there are a total of 72 teleportation door devices in use."
"These teleportation doors are interconnected with the teleportation doors in our base. When activated, they can be freely transported."
Obviously, during this period, Reed hadn't been idle, and he had already upgraded the teleportation doors.
"Not bad..."
Peter sat in the driver's seat, looking at the simulated space scene projected by the holographic simulation device, feeling very satisfied.
"In fact, this space station was not only designed as a space station from the beginning, but it contains everything a real spaceship that can navigate the universe should have."
"Including but not limited to propulsion systems, shield systems, weapon systems, ecological circulation systems, biological hibernation systems, and so on."
"It can be said that this space station, made entirely of vibranium material, even if the Earth is suddenly destroyed, we can still pilot it to other star systems to find a new home."
At this moment, Reed suddenly confessed that the space station was actually built as a spaceship.
"Warning, Earth is under attack by unknown energy. Please authorize the activation of the escape plan as soon as possible..."
Just as Reed was proudly introducing how this spaceship could support fleeing into the universe.
The artificial intelligence system, seemingly cooperating with him, suddenly sounded an urgent alarm.
"Um, Dr. Otto, is there a problem with the artificial intelligence you guys created?"
Instantly verifying his words did not bring joy to Reed, but rather embarrassment.
The artificial intelligence malfunctioning at this crucial moment, how should he explain to Mr. Superman as the overall project leader?
"Wait a minute, let me see what's going on?"
Dr. Otto, at this moment, also had a panicked expression. He was responsible for the artificial intelligence, and Mr. Superman attached great importance to it, requiring him to prepare for any intelligent control contingency plans.
But he didn't expect that problems would arise on the first day.
"No need to check. It's not a problem with the artificial intelligence, but on Earth..."
However, Peter's voice interrupted everyone's actions in the next moment.
Accompanied by Peter's words, the artificial intelligence automatically presented the current situation of the Earth on the holographic simulation.
"What... what's going on?"
"How is it possible that in less than a minute, the entire Earth has become like this?"
Everyone looked at the sky with incredulous eyes, where a huge black crack, as large as half of the Earth, directly split the sky in two.
Within the crack, countless black auras were continuously surging out, shrouding nearly half of the Earth's surface, and spreading towards the entire Earth.
It seemed that before long, the Earth would be completely engulfed by that darkness.
"The Dark Dimension, the invasion of Dormammu?"
At this moment, Peter instantly thought of Dormammu, the ruler of the Dark Dimension, covering the Earth.
"The Dark Dimension? What's that?"
Everyone present was surprised, not understanding what the Dark Dimension was.
"You don't need to worry about that. Quickly activate all teleportation doors and bring all company employees and their families from Earth here."
"Activate the space station's shield mode at full power. If necessary, you can directly leave Earth's orbit..."
Peter quickly ordered as the Dark Dimension suddenly invaded.
And at this moment, Peter also did not understand the situation on Earth. Since the Dark Dimension had already descended, Doctor Strange was probably in dire straits.
As for Tony, the Supreme Sorcerer who had not yet grown up, he was utterly powerless against Dormammu.
Even though Peter himself was confident in defeating Dormammu, for safety's sake, he had to prepare for the worst.
The next moment, after giving orders, Peter was the first to enter the teleportation door, and in the instant he returned to Earth, he disappeared.
Immediately after, Peter, with two surprised elderly people, came over and handed them to Dr. Otto, who had just walked out of the teleportation door.
"Take care of them for me."
After saying this, Peter's figure disappeared again.
"The invasion of the Dark Dimension? This world is truly full of unknown dangers!"
At this moment, looking at the huge crack that almost covered half of the Earth's surface in the sky, and the surging dark energy within it, the whole world was plunged into great panic.
...
Over ten minutes ago.
The wizards who were practicing magic at Kamar-Taj all received a shocking message: within less than ten minutes, the sanctums in Hong Kong and London had already fallen one after another.
Even the Supreme Sorcerer didn't have time to rush to rescue.
Of the three major sanctums on Earth, only the last one in New York remained.
All the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj received the notification and, under the leadership of the Supreme Sorcerer, the Ancient One, hurriedly arrived at the last remaining sanctum in New York on Earth.
However, as all the sorcerers stepped out of the New York sanctum, they saw a figure shrouded in black energy floating in the air outside the temple.
"Is this guy responsible for destroying the other two sanctums?"
At this moment, countless sorcerers glared at him, wishing they could use magic to send him straight to the Dark Dimension.
"This guy seems tough to deal with!"
Tony, clad in armor, looked at the figure with a grim expression and whispered to a bald, fat man beside him.
"Quiet, Tony. No matter how powerful the opponent is, our duty as sorcerers is to protect this last remaining sanctum."
"Otherwise, our world will face an unstoppable threat."
The bald woman, King of the Baldies, educated Tony.
"Exactly, Tony. Our duty as sorcerers is to protect the sanctum. Even if we die in battle, we will return to the embrace of the God of Magic."
Next to them, Kaecilius, with a cold expression, also firmly stated.
"Damn, just learned magic less than a month ago, and already facing such a dangerous situation..."
Tony looked helpless. Normally, he had just become a formal sorcerer at this time, and now he had to face such a formidable enemy. Was this really normal?
It's like a newbie in a game, just out of the newbie village, and finds the final boss already blocking the village gate.
Has anyone considered the players' feelings?
...
"Strange?"
Looking at Stephen Strange, who had once been considered to succeed him as the Supreme Sorcerer, the Ancient One confirmed somewhat surprised.
"Yes, it's me, Ancient One. Long time no see."
Dr. Strange, dressed as a sorcerer, looked at the Ancient One, feeling a sense of long-lost friendship on his face.
"No, you're not the real Strange. You come from another universe."
Almost instantly, the Ancient One determined that the person in front of him was not the real Stephen Strange.
Or rather, he was not the Stephen Strange from their universe.
"Hehe, you can still see through everything."
"But in fact, I hate people like you who can see through everything, know the past and the future, and watch everything happen with indifference."
Floating above the void, Doctor Strange did not rush to take action.
"Once, I believed in your teachings wholeheartedly. After taking over as the Supreme Sorcerer from you, I have fulfilled my oath countless times to protect the Earth."
"I have repelled Dormammu from the Dark Dimension many times, as well as invaders from other dimensions."
"Even using the power of the DarkHold, I defeated Thanos, who possessed multiple Infinity Stones, and wanted to wipe out half-life."
"Unfortunately, even though I did all this, I still couldn't save her, and even my universe is about to be completely destroyed..."
As he spoke, Doctor Strange's expression gradually became crazed, filled with unwillingness.
"So, I came here, to your universe..."
"It's a pity, so many tragic things happened to you."
"But this is the destiny, which no one can change. Just like how your practice of the Darkhold would cause the collapse of the entire universe."
"Forcing a change in the universe's process will also cause the collapse of the universe."
The Ancient One seemed to have known everything and advised Doctor Strange earnestly.
"Hmph, it's the same old rhetoric of following the development of the universe."
"In fact, I have found a way to restore my universe reality."
Doctor Strange's face showed madness, and he continued slowly, "That is to completely devour your universe!"
The next moment, a majestic surge of dark energy erupted from Doctor Strange's body in the air.
The terrifying dark energy covered the entire sky, transforming into countless black tentacles that reached directly towards the New York Sanctum behind the Ancient One.
"I'm sorry, I can't let you continue to fall into darkness..."
A hint of apology flashed across the Ancient One's face. The next moment, a strong golden light instantly appeared in front of him, rapidly condensing into a huge magic array that enveloped the entire New York Sanctum.
"Tony, it's our turn!"
The next moment, the King of the Baldies, holding a short staff, hurriedly infused magic energy into the huge magic array, acting as a node himself to maintain the magic array.
Other sorcerers did the same, starting to infuse energy into the magic array.
As the energy was infused, the magic array instantly flashed with dazzling light, successfully resisting the almost overwhelming black tentacles.
Bang! Hiss...
Accompanied by the continuous pounding of the massive black tentacles on the magic array.
The immense force caused the magic array to tremble, but the black tentacles, like squids being fried in oil, emitted a burst of black smoke.
"Hmph, can you withstand this?"
Seeing the attack being blocked, Doctor Strange's face flashed with madness.
The next moment, countless black tentacles merged together, instantly transforming into nine huge black dragons.
Roar!
Accompanied by a deafening dragon chant, terrifying flames spewed from the black dragon's mouth.
"No!"
Although the magic shield could block most of the energy and the scorching heat.
But as the dragon's flames concentrated on a slightly dim magic array, it instantly shattered the weakest node of the magic array.
Accompanied by a sorcerer's wail, instantly under the dragon's breath that broke through the magic array, turned into a cluster of ash, slowly dissipating.
"This..."
The sorcerer turned into ashes was not far from Tony.
If he remembered correctly, that person arrived at Kamar-Taj a few months earlier than him, with less talent than him, so, like him, he became a junior sorcerer not long ago.
They even discussed their experiences in practicing magic with each other.
But today, he just disappeared in front of Tony in an instant.
It also made Tony understand that this moment was not a game, but a terrifying reality that filled the entire world with crisis.
However, Tony didn't even have time to sigh and mourn.
As the node of the magic array was broken, the terrifying dragon's breath instantly swept across the entire magic array.
Crack.
Accompanied by the magic array's resounding shatter.
The dark dragon's breath instantly engulfed the entire New York Sanctum.
With the fall of the New York Sanctum, the sky instantly turned into darkness.
"The Dark Dimension Dormammu is about to descend!"
